This replaced a 4-year old pair of the same model. The new model is not as well made as its predecessor. The straps are narrower and the construction seems of lesser quality. The rear strap adjustment is not needed.\r\n\r\nThese sandals are very comfortable, though the arch takes a little getting used to.

Initial Review (at one week): Excellent fit, Excellent style, Very Comfortable. Sole plate adapted to personal footprint easily in two days. One Month of Wear: Leather Ankle Strap began to twist inside plastic fitting on outside of shoe; plastic fitting turned sideways (90 degrees) so strap twisted to adapt, elongated (strap too long after stretch) and velcro eventually became detached on ankle strap. Three months of Wear: Toe piece delaminated from bottom of sole (flapping vertically) - sandals no longer usable. Permanently deleted from recycle bin.

I purchased the Open Toachi Leather sandals to replace an older pair of leather Teva sandals that finally gave out after countless years of canoeing, kayaking, river crossings while backpacking, working in the yard, wearing around town, etc. Much to my surprise, the Toachi fits better and is even more comfortable than the previous Teva sandals that I thought were unbeatable. Add Zappos’ incredibly fast and friendly service; it's an unbeatable combination. I am a very satisfied customer.

These are the most comfortable Tevas made. They are very soft and give good arch support. I have owned and also returned many different Tevas over the years. So many of their styles are so hard. These replaced the same style, but in blue. The blue ones have a very convenient closure clip vs. just the Velcro strap of the leather. A pro and con depending on how you look at it is the drain holes on the foot bed. If you step in a shallow puddle the water comes up and through soaking your foot, where if the holes were not there you would stay dry. Very comfortable.

These are my third pair of Teva shoes. I am very disappointed by their change in the foot bed from a flat to a designed pattern. I've found the change to be tough on my feet. I loved my other Teva shoes. Bottom line, these shoes are not comfortable.

Great looking sandal, extremely comfortable, no break in period required, just put them on and go! Order your exact size. I would recommend Teva to everyone.

Comfortable, but poorly made. The stitching on these sandals is failing after only a few days of river trip use. The stitching holding one of the rear buckles pulled out completely, making the sandals unwearable.

Ordered the chocolate chip in size 13 . My 3rd pair of tevas in about 10 years. These are by far the most comfortable shoes or sandal that I have yet to wear. Straps were soft and do not rub like some have in the past. The cushioning on sole feels is very impact resistant for a 220 pound man I can crush the sole in a day of hiking so far these have bounced back. Also the sole still lets air get in to keep the feet cool and dry. Shoes straps keep the foot from sliding while going up and down trails even when wet unlike other shoes and sandals. In the water with a current shoes stayed on and dried very quickly while wearing them on shore. The tread griped in and out of water wet and dry. The leather looks good enough to wear out to a causal dinner. Just trim your toenails first. A great shoe awesome sandal.
