I purchased these shoes (suggested from the Avia people) as a replacement for my tennis shoes. I love them. They are very comfortable and provide great support.

Overall, I like these sneakers. I agree with the other reviewer that they seem almost a 1/2 size small, but because I ordered them 1/2 size larger than my street shoes (as I usually do with my running sneakers) the fact that they are a little smaller works out okay. I use these exclusively indoors at they gym, mainly for step, weights, and boot camp style classes. The toe box is roomy, which I find comfortable, except for in step class because I can get a blister with a lot of pivoting. I also bought these shoes because they were featured in Fitness, but am now wondering if the Fitness feature was just some sort of paid endorsement? For the price they are certainly fine shoes, but I don't know why they are "the best?" I find them comparable to other sneakers I have tried in the past.

I purchased the Avia cross trainer for the comfort, style, look. I have bought 2 pairs of shoes from Zappo's & received them within 2 days of ordering. The price is just right. The sizes run true to size as well. I have also purchased aerobic shoes that have the ankle support. I will recommend Zappos to my family & friends. Zappos rocks!

I have been on looking for good cross training shoes for a long time. There are so many brands of cross training shoes that I don't know which brand is good. I go to a Jazzercise class approximately 5 to 6 times a week. I am almost 50 years old and can feel it in my knees if I don't wear good shoes. I read about these shoes in Fitness magazine and decide to take a chance in buying them. I ordered it online through another online shoe store, because they gave me a discount. I have wide feet, so I order a 1/2 size bigger than my normal 8.5 size. It was a perfect fit. It was snug but not tight, so it held my feet in place. This was important during the side to side movements. It absorb shocks well because I don't feel it in my knees after my Jazzercise class. These shoes are a winner for me. However, I like to note people's feet are different. What works for me may not work for others.

Did not like this shoe -
I read about this cross trainer in Fitness so I thought I would give it a try. I wear a true 7 1/2 but this shoe felt a little snug even though the toe area looks wide. Weird. They were just not comfortable at all, they felt bumpy on the bottom, like I was stepping on uneven surface, and I was on the carpet in my living room. I guess I am still on my search for a good cross trainer.
Zappos was of course amazing and shipped to me super quick!
