I had to add a review from a Narrow perspective. I have very narrow feet and the narrow fits me very nicely; my foot does not slide around and the heel doesn't slip. The fabric at the front of the shoe puckers when I pull the laces tight, but this is more of a cosmetic problem than anything else. I ordered up from my normal size to make sure my toes have plenty of room on the trail.

Nice boot. I have a pair of other New Balance shoes, which are 7.5 wide. The 7 boot fits me, as the 7.5 was too big. So far, I like this boot. Zappos return policy makes the difference when shopping for difficult feet.

Needed a mid hiking boot for my daughter who has an extremely wide foot. I tried many different brands that were considered a "generous width" but were still too tight on her feet. These boots were comfortable from the moment she put them on. She usually wears an 8 WW but because of the thickness of the socks required for hiking we took a 9 and they fit perfect. I recommend these to anyone with a very wide foot.

The sides were too stiff and hurt my ankles. Otherwise comfortable.
