Good day to you all who read this. I must say there isn't better website to purchase like Zappos.com. The service they provide is incredibly great. Not to mention their online customer service. If you have any questions, they will answer via email if you ask. I'm a VIP member. I will order from Zappos.com anytime. My favorite purchase is the Desert Clarks. Make Zappos.com your favorite shopping site.

The shoes are comfortable. However, there is no arch support and I would have liked the lacing system to be a little higher on the instep. I think it would have made for a better fit. I have had very good luck in the past with Clark shoes. The service from Zappos is excellent. I would not hesitate to purchase from them again.

I think I've finally found the shoe that I'll buy over and over again for years to come. These shoes are very comfortable and well made. You can dress them up with slacks or dress them down sock-less with flip flops. It's a timeless design that hasn't changed for 40 years. The best everyday shoes I've had. They fit loose so I recommend ordering half size smaller.

Again, a great shoe!
I own several pairs of Clarks, and I must say that it is my favorite brand. These shoes are comfortable and cute; definitely living up to Clarks' reputation.

I have been a fan of the dessert boot since I was a teenager growing up in New York and I love the comfort and the timeless look. I don't ever want to be without a pair.

'60s euro cool.
I love these boots. They're pretty comfortable, but not exceptionally so (The arch support is virtually nonexistent. I'm getting archy insoles...). The main thing is they are understated and look very cool. They're also very simple and seem quite durable. Good for sauntering around town in your snazziest '60s tight-fitting suit. Other reviewers have remarked on how quiet they are. And yes, you could sneak up on just about anybody if you're so inclined. Quietest shoe on the planet.

Ok, by now everyone knows how good Zappos is, but I just ordered these last night; I woke up and saw a email that they have shipped, went to the gym and they are on my porch when I came home. Unbelievable service. Now for the shoe. Size was correct, looks are incredible. I tried them on with everything I have and I think I could have found the one shoe that works with everything. I did put a heel insole in for extra cushioning though, and might even get a premium insole so I can wear these a lot more.

The picture does not do justice to this shoe. I bought it in bronze and was worried it was going to be splotchy-looking as it appears in the photo. It is not! It is a beautiful unique, dark golden color with a great subtle shine; far from splotchy and dull! Very comfy and well-constructed as with all Born shoes. I expect it to last for years; well worth the money.

Clarks are the best looking boots.
Clarks is the originator of the desert boot and they are under a $100, plus they are so comfortable I can't believe it. There is little arch support but for some reason they don't feel that way. I have a herniated disc and I find these to be the shoes/boots I reach for every day.

These are great looking boots but I will say that there comfort level is not the best. Great for a 2-3 hour jaunt around the neighborhood but any longer than that, good luck.

My new favorite shoe -
Just discovered Clarks Desert Boots and they are quickly becoming my new favorite shoes. Awesome style, great comfort. Lace them loose. Felt a lot bigger than my normal size. I'm usually an Adidas Originals kind of guy; the crazier the color the better, but these add a nice retro, subtle touch to my wardrobe.

I read the reviews on these shoes for weeks before making my purchase, and I was only increasingly sold on them every time I looked at them. First of all, the shoe fit perfectly. I ordered a half size up like some people suggested, but they were too big. So I ordered my correct size, 10, and they really do fit like a glove, and they really are pretty comfortable. Second, I am speechless at how fast Zappos is. I ordered on Saturday and received them Monday. When I called to exchange them for the proper size, I received THAT pair Tuesday! And all of the shipping was done for free. I can only say long live Zappos and may you be continuously be prosperous.

Make me feel like a hippy -
From what I hear, if you've ever worn a chukka boot, you've worn this shoe. For those who haven't, it's very, very quiet. I kinda feel like creeping and lurking and sneaking up on people while wearing them. I ordered my size, and while they do feel loose-ish in dress socks or thin cotton, fall-weight cotton socks fill them out nicely. A boot that doesn't feel like a boot, no wonder they were all over the seventies! I like this boot and will now be adding it to my staple of shoes.

The best in the world -
I am originally from London, England and I've been wearing Clarks for a very long time. As far as comfort, excellent and style, words cannot describe. I still have pair since 2001 and still going strong. These boots can go with any type of dress code from jeans, slacks even shorts. Keep up the good work Clarks, love you like cook food...

Clean, Sharp, Classic -
They look good. They're casual, with just the right amount of 'dress'. They look good with jeans and khakis. They're a great alternative to the trendy 'athletic-inspired' shoe. They're classic. You gotta love Clarks. Plus Steve McQueen wore 'em. Need I say more!?!
(I will say one more thing though: Even though the shoe basically fit, following the suggestion to buy a size smaller, it's kind of tight in the toe, but slips off the heel. It's a minor problem, but should definitely be fixed.)

Very Sad!
I love Clarks Wallabees and I have been wearing just one pair for the last 2 years and it still looks great and feels comfortable. I thought I would try the Desert Boot to switch it up and I was VERY disappointed. The shoe was very uncomfortable and my feet felt cold in them. The back of my heel began to hurt because the shoe is so stiff and the quality of leather is nothing like it is with the Wallabee. The look of the shoe could be mistaken for a Doc Marten and I find that insulting. Stick with the Wallabee!!! Also, if you are a woman and you are buying this shoe, it really looks like a man's shoe when you wear it.

Wonderful looking shoe, but absolutely no cushion in the heel, the heel feels like heck, you would think with all the technology today they could do something about, how about just make the whole shoe flat like the front, which feels fine and knock off that sorry excuse for a heel they have on there, I need to find something that looks similar but feels superior!! :(

Clark's Classic Desert Boots -
After wearing out classic tan Desert Boots from wearing them nearly every day in Afghanistan, I've ordered two more pair for Iraq: A tan, and a black for more "formal" occasions. It's good to see that Clarks are still as durable and comfortable as my first pair...back in the 60s!

I have been looking for this shoe for a while and when I found it on the website I couldn't believe that they had them. The price and the speed that they came in were awesome! They fit great and look awesome with anything.

Great looking shoe. I've been searching all the malls and Clarks stores for this model and color. Nothing. Then a friend referred me to Zappos.com. They got it and the size I wanted. Came out cheaper plus FREE SHIPPING when I bought it online. Came in EXCELLENT condition. I will DEFINETLY buy shoes and recommend Zappos.com to my friends.

Clark's almost classic desert boot -
This man's desert boot is the closest you will find to the original '60s classic. If you loved the original, you will love these. If you don't remember the originals, you will love these anyway! Great with jeans, khakis or cords, and in a variety of fabulous colors. You'll want them in all the colors!

Desert Boots -
I'm happy with this shoe. Used to wear desert boots all the time as I was growing up. I've gotten good comments from friends. I think they're a little jealous, because we all used to wear them. Maybe I'll try some of the other colors. They didn't have my size when I ordered so I had to get l/2 size up. They fit pretty well so now next time I order I'm not sure what size to get.

Great boot!
This is a great boot. Its straightforward design gives it the robust look that I was looking for. It is a comfortable shoe as well. This is my second pair, I had a low-cut version before. The only weak point seems to be its sole that I went through in slightly over a year of daily wear. But the fact that I ordered a similar shoe again says it all.
