My 3 1/2 year old daughter's worn these hiking in the mountains on several occasions and loves them. Elastic lacing system with adjustable velcro ankle strap allows foot to easily slide in & out while maintaining a secure fit when worn. Not one complaint about the comfort (which is saying a lot with a 3 year old!), and the added stability gives her confidence when on rough terrain. Lightweight, flexible & durable. Great all around!
