I have previously owned a North Face hooded Venture rain jacket and I loved it. Because it is lightweight, it is perfect to throw on when the weather looks like rain, or the temperature is cool enough to need an extra layer, but not too much. Also because it is so lightweight, it is perfect for traveling. It is easy to pack because it takes up such little space and it doesn't add much weight to your luggage. If it is chilly in the morning when you go sightseeing you can start off wearing it, then as the day warms up you can roll it up into a compact bundle and easily store it in a daypack or shoulder bag until needed again. It is stylish and fits well. I have taken it on two trips to Europe and it is one of standard things I pack for any trip. After about 5 years I decided I needed a new rain jacket and the North Face jacket still seemed to be the best choice for me. I highly recommend it!

I needed a waterproof shell for those days that are rainy but not exactly cold. I wanted to have the option of adapting my layers of clothing to the temperature as needed, and this little gem fits the bill perfectly.\r\nIt is completely waterproof, lightweight, and has underarm zippers that allow it to breath on muggier days without compromising its waterproof attributes. The adjustable height on the hood is also a big plus.\r\nGreat quality, as advertised, and as always, fantastic service from Zappos.

The North Face Venture jacket is the best lightweight rain jacket I have ever had, today I thought I might get caught in the rain and discovered this jacket is excellent at keeping me dry and warm in wind and rain

Great purchase. I'm 5'9" about 145 (skin + bones) and the Medium fits perfectly. It even fit fine for wearing a hooded sweatshirt underneath. A great jacket for probably 3 1/2 seasons if you live in a moderate climate. I imagine I'll be able to wear it until it reaches the 40F degrees.

This is a great jacket! It is perfect for days when it's not cold enough for a big jacket, but protective enough for rain. It fits great and rain just falls right off you! It is stylish too. I'll most likely purchase another in different color.

Jacket rocks! Lightweight/waterproof but cuts the wind. Can wear it on a warm or cool day. Recently brought this to Chicago in summer and did great during a rain storm. Highly recommend this jacket. Nice to bring as well for trips.

I gave this to my husband for our anniversary and I was pleased how well he liked it. He is 6'2" and approx 185 lbs. Tall and slender. He normally wears an XL in jackets and so I ordered the XL and it fit him perfectly. He is going to wear it skiing this weekend and for baseball games this Spring.

A Coat For All Seasons -
Overall, a great looking coat for all-season use (barring any sub-30 temps). Very water repellent and warm with a layer or two underneath. I would recommend this coat as one of the best all-season utility coats I've purchased.

I am a huge North Face fan and expect the quality to be there when I buy any NF products. My new Venture jacket did not disappoint. As usual, the fit and finish are spot on. The jacket is super lightweight making is very packable which is what I was looking for.

GREAT JACKET!!!
Jacket is very simple but very effective... wore it during the rain and also as a winter jacket (w/ a hoodie underneath just to make me a little bit warmer). A real windbreaker... material looks very durable, w/c should last me for a while... I might even take this when I go snowboarding... we'll see.

After returning numerous rain jackets from other retailers, I purchased the Alloy Grey Venture. The color is exactly what the picture showed (unlike other places!). Plus, Zappos upgraded my shipping to overnight delivery for free! As for the features of the jacket, it's fantastic. I just used it over the weekend in 70 heat to see if I would sweat and I did, but very little. The venting with the pit zips let out a lot of heat. Still haven't used it in the rain, but I did stick my arm under the sink to see the effectiveness of the HyVent system and it worked great. Fits true to size. Overall, I'm extremely pleased with Zappos and the jacket itself. Definitely recommend to anyone wanting a great rain jacket from a great retailer.

My only complaint is that the company does not make a woman's version so my wife can't order one for herself. It is lightweight and easy to pack. Great warm weather wind and rain protection...

The Multitasker -
The North Face delivers yet again. This jacket functions not only as a solid rain jacket, but also as a decent wind stopper. It has two pit vents that really help when things get too hot, it has a waterproof shell which holds up exceptionally well during downpours and the breathable fabric gets rid of that clammy feeling. The jacket looks good and has an everyday appearance and can be worn virtually with anything. This is a must have for the multitasker.

It's hard to find rain protection that doesn't trap body heat. This one is highly breathable. The fit is great for layering. Very comfortable and a great look.

A great father's day present -
I bought the North Face Venture jacket for my husband for Father's day. He is a golfer and this is a lightweight, waterproof jacket that is perfect to keep in his golf bag if it starts raining while out playing 18 holes. He can put it on and continue playing. It is a very nice looking jacket. I bought it in the Khaki color.
If a product has the North Face name on it - you know it's high quality.

Great waterproof jacket -
This rain jacket is one of many North Face products I own. Although the name is overly commercialized at the moment, they make excellent garments. I wore it on a couple of heavy rain days and it stood up very well. It is light enough to wear on a warmer day or as a waterproof outer layer on a cooler day. I plan on taking it to Florida for a vacation. Another great product from North Face.

This is a quality jacket but what else did you expect from North Face. It is lightweight and very packable. This is definitely a must have product for the Spring and Summer. I highly recommend this product.
