\r\nI live in the country and purchased these for tromping in the woods.\r\nHowever, they are so comfortable, I find I wear them almost everyday at home. I love the wide toe space and good arch support. I am becoming a real Keen fan. \r\nBe sure to order 1/2 size up and you\'ll love them!

When I bought these shoes, I was hoping for a comfortable pair of shoes that would look cute, but not like a sneaker. They are extremely comfortable, but they do look like a sneaker. I passed them along to my sister in law, who loves them, walks everywhere in them and looks cute in them, too. She also confirms they are truly waterproof. If I had been looking for a sneaker, I'd have given them 5 stars for style, because they are subdued, not all flashy and obnoxious like so many running shoes.

These are my new favorite weekend shoes. Great for walking around town in the rain, and even better for light hiking. I\'ve walked through deep puddles and my feet have been completely dry at the end of the day. Like my other Keens, these fit my wide feet well, especially in the toe. As with my other Keens, I ordered 1/2 size up and they fit well. I would definitely recommend these.

I shop at Zappos and love their service. When I got this shoe I wanted a pair that I could walk and run in which I do daily with my dog and do trails often. Loved the color, they fit right and waterproof excellent since I hate my feet getting wet. Even morning dew drives me nuts! What I didn't like about these shoes is they wear like a clog. Am a nurse so I know. The shoe sits very low in the back and has a slip off. Was disappointed. Sent them back. I wouldn't recommend them. They should be pulled off the shelf.

I wanted these shoes to work so bad. I ordered the gray with blue stitching. So cute! Loved them! Unfortunately they killed my left foot. I have foot issues stemming from a broken ankle and the aftermath and many problems resulting from that. For people with "normal" feet, these more than likely will work great for them. I read the many reviews and ordered a 1/2 size up. I probably would've stayed with my regular size, if they would've worked form me. Sadly I have to return them.

Love these shoes. Comfortable out of the box. Ordered a half-size up (as with sneakers) and am glad I did. The sole is a bit stiffer than I expected, but it turns out that that's okay. I've used them hiking in the woods, a little mountain hiking, and lots of walking. My feel are happy in them, and several people have asked about them because they liked the way they look. The colors are subtle and nice. On a 1 to 10, I give them a 9.5!

This shoe is true to fit. I bought it for my pregnant wife who desperately needed arch support. She loves it so much, and this is our second pair of shoes from Keen that we've bought. Now we are Keen diehards. They make some real comfortable shoes. The first Keens we got are boots and this is the first in running shoes that we considered. You get your patented wide toe base and the toe guard, and also the waterproof Keen dry interior. All in all, the product is well made, sturdy and provides great protection and support in rainy Seattle, and for a pregnant woman. Highly recommend it. Oh yeah, Zappos is the only way to shop for shoes.

These shoes are fantastic! True to size and comfortable on the first wear. For me that was a 6.5 mile hike around the base of Uluru in central Australia (four hours after getting off a plane from Boston-LA-Sydney). Hiked a further 5 miles the next day and climbed a ridgeline two days later. No blisters, no worries. Highly recommend this shoe.

A wonderful pair of shoes. I usually dont buy shoes offline, but loved these. Couldnt be happier with them. Fit great and very comfortable, no break in needed! Would highly recommend getting these shoes!

The shoes fit true to size. I do a lot of trail walking and found them to be very comfortable, but yet sturdy. I would definitely order them again.

First of all, I am a "Keen" fan. I have a rather flat foot so the lack of a prominent arch in most Keens fits my foot well. The Genoa Peak is no exception. Good all purpose choice. Runs true to size. However, it isn\'t quite as wide as some Keens which is good for me as I have a narrow foot. This will be a good travel shoe for walking especially on cobblestone on return trips to Europe. Rugged enough for outdoor events yet nice enough to wear inside as well.
Other brands recommended by reviewer: Merrels if they fit your foot. The arch in Merrels does not fit my foot but the styles are great.

The Keen Genoa Peak shoe has a comfortable toe box which allows space for arthritic toes to relax. The shoe is generous across the ball of the foot; there are no pressure points, even for post surgical bunionectomy sites. The shoe offers excellant toe protection from stubbing accidents. Sturdy and breathable enough to take to Africa. So comfortable that I did not have to break them in! Two thumbs way up on this product!

I am still deciding on these shoes. I have had them a month, but have not had much of a chance to give them a real work out yet. My foot is wide across the toes and narrower in the heel. I had heard that Keens are so roomy in the toe box that I assumed it would be a marriage made in heaven. Well... First, they run small. I normally wear a 7.5 or 8, and the Keen 8.5 is just ok. No extra room in the toes like I had hoped. I’d be curious about the 9, but I am afraid it would slip too much on the heel. They are rather stiff, and I cannot wear a thick sock in them, so that means they will not be my "winter" shoes. I bought them primarily as a sturdy walker that is waterproof to survive soggy Maine where I spend spring and early summer. I think they will be fine, but for the money, I am not overwhelmed. It is my first and only pair of Keens, and I would definitely check out their other styles. It is my first time shopping Zappos and I will 100% shop with them again. Excellent fast service and the return of other pair ordered was super easy. Thanks!

Great hiking shoes -
After trying on many pairs of hiking shoes in stores, I decided to take a chance with these Keen Genoa Peak WP shoes. The perfect shoe! Could be more pleased with it. I have very flat, wide, size 8 feet and these shoes feel great. I wore them around the house for a couple of days and finally did a hike with them a week later. No problems, no blisters, and great support. Walked through a creek and water did not penetrate and the leather never shrank. Would definitely recommend these to anyone thinking about purchasing a pair. You can't go wrong, especially with ordering through Zappos!

Maybe this is common knowledge about Keen's to everyone but me, but their shoes run wide. In general, I have an average-sized foot, but these shoes slid up and down my heel. The curve of the heel was much wider than my own. It's too bad, because I wanted these to be perfect--they seem like great shoes--but they just didn't work for my foot.

Great shoe for living out in the sticks!
Just bought a pair of these shoes and love the waterproof combined with the traction. They are great for the property we live on, as well as hanging out in town. They were pretty stiff and a bit tight in width when I first got them. The tightness is loosening up a bit, and they are pretty comfy. I don't think there is as much cushioning as I would like. My Bronx mids are way more flexible and seem more cushioned, somehow. I could just about go running in the Bronx! These are much more rugged and will be great for hiking. The other issue which someone mentioned, is that the heel slips somewhat, and even if I tighten the laces all the way, it still slips, but does not bother me now that I am used to it. I do like the look of the shoe and the blue color is super fun in real life - much nicer on the foot than in the pic. Glad I have them.

Great comfort! Good traction...
These are my go-to shoes for winter in metro-Boston. They are great on icy sidewalks and are waterproof enough for sloshing around our constant muck. I find them more comfortable and supportive than any of my other shoes. They also are nicer looking than big boots.

Made for my feet -
I've order other Keens in the past and have ended up sending them back. They were usually too short and when I'd buy the larger size, they'd be too wide. Luckily, I decided to try Keens one more time and ordered this shoe. I usually take a 10, but got a 10.5. It fit perfectly. I've worn it outside two days so far, once while wearing a heavy pack. My feet did not hurt at the end of the day! The bonuses are that the shoes keep your feet surprisingly warm and they're water proof. My one complaint is that the top of the shoe is a bit stiff. I think it will break in after a little while. Oh...and the green color is so pretty!

GREAT SHOE!
Ok ladies let me just tell you...this shoe is great. I have a lot of foot trouble. A stress fracture in my right foot left my second toe paralyzed and it has hurt to hike for about 8 years. I have many other hiking shoes, Keens included and there has not been a shoe that I could hike in without pain for years and years...till I got this shoe. My boyfriend gave it to me for Christmas and we went hiking the next day and my feet felt GREAT!! I just kept saying "This is the first time my feet have not hurt in 8 years when I am hiking," over and over to my boyfriend.
GET THEM!! I love, love, love these shoes!!!

I really like these. I’m tall (5’11”) and the height of the boot is perfect. At first I had difficulties zipping them up, but after I wore them a bit, I had no more trouble. They do slouch a BIT in the ankle, but that really doesn’t bother me. Also, they are SUPER comfortable! LOVE them!

Good winter shoe -
Overall I am happy with the Keen Genoa Peak WP. I could wear it without a break-in period and there is plenty of room for the hammer toe on my left foot. It is a little stiff which I attribute to the waterproofing and the overall look of the shoes is more snub-nosed than appears in the pictures. The laces are a little short, but are easily replaced. I wanted a warm winter shoe with the comfort of a running shoe and am satisfied. I followed the advice of other reviewers and bought a half-size larger which is a perfect fit.

Rugged!
First of all I am a Keen Sandal lover and had to try this all-weather hiker. I have been wearing this shoe for a few weeks now and it is a little stiff at first, but I think after a month or so it will get better. When I first put the shoe on I knew it was a keeper: very comfortable interior, good tread and looks rugged, it really looks good with jeans, this is definitely a weekend shoe. As with most Keen shoes I went with a half size bigger.

Have wanted to try Keen's for a while and was waiting to find a pair that were exactly what I wanted. I have to say that I am 100% satisfied with my choice, and highly recommend this shoe! Got the walnut coloring and find that it looks great with jeans. Very comfortable and supportive.

Not for me -
Ordered half-size larger based on previous reviews. This was a good thing, as it made the fit right lengthwise. Unfortunately, I felt the side support (to prevent twisted ankles) made the shoe feel narrow. While I could have worked with that, the deal breaker for me was heel slippage when walking.
