Somewhat unconventionally, I purchased this shoe in white to wear to my wedding (with a formal bridal gown). I was aware that the shoe was a bit too casual for my dress, but for me it was so worth it. My priorities in searching for wedding shoes were a) at least a 3 inch heel, as my husband is a whole foot taller than me (and bridesmaids both 5 inches taller than me) and b) comfort. I did not want to be in excruciating pain at the end of my wedding day. Finding a shoe that met these two criteria was nearly impossible, until I found this one! I knew it was on the too-casual side, but figured that they wouldn't be visible very often anyway, considering that my dress came to the floor. I am very happy with my choice. My shoes were visible more often than I had hoped (it rained heavily and I had to continually hold my dress up outside). However, I was comfortable all day. And now I have a really cool pair of gorgeous sandals I will actually wear again, as opposed to a pinchy pair of white satin pumps. I also got several compliments on them that people thought they were a young, fun, cute surprise under the formal gown. Of course, people always compliment the bride, but whatever, I think the comments were sincere. Also, the shoes are beautifully made with excellent workmanship. The leather is incredibly soft! I wish I could get them in every color!

I've been meaning to write a review for this shoe as it is the most comfortable heel I own. The 3 inch heel is barely noticeable. I am able to salsa in this heel with no trouble and there was no break-in period whatsoever. I bought the black heel and wanted the white one so bad, but alas my size sold out. Zappos sent me this shoe the next day and they are as always very professional. And once again, Born is my favorite brand!

These are really cute. I got them both in patent leather and soft leather. I notice they are not as cushy as the other Born shoes, but still, comfort and style is the primary focus.

Let me just say that these are wonderful shoes. My first thought (and maybe yours, too) about Born shoes is that they are comfy old lady shoes or comfy tree hugger shoes...Wrong! These shoes are very stylish and extremely comfortable. I love the little detail on the T-strap and the heel height feels like you are wearing flats. A GREAT shoe that I recommend to everyone.

Absolutely love the shoe! I got it in brown and it looks gorgeous. It's incredibly comfortable if you choose the right size. I am usually an 8.5 or 39 European size. I got talked into buying a 9 by a salesperson...a big mistake. On the actual box it states that a 9 is a 40.5 European! I have since ordered an 8 and it fits perfectly, not too short and not too narrow. My feet are a proper 8.5/39 Euro, slightly on a wider side if you are tossing up between the sizes, go with the smaller size. The shoes come with 2 lovely shoe bags, too, a nice bonus. Good luck!

These are very pretty (bought them in the gold color) and mostly comfortable. There is not a lot of "support" due to the strappy-ness of the sandal so I don’t know that I could wear them all-day long, but they are great for shorter periods of time.

I ordered these in two colors (black and tan) and am so, so glad I did... they are a super comfy, super sexy, super practical dress heel for summer! The leather (including lined footbed and wrapped heel) is soft and beautiful. I love how much foot shows in these - they are very flattering on! They look great with anything - pants, jeans, skirts, dresses, even shorts! The heel is high, but walkable and sturdy. My only complaint is that the ball of the sole is rubber, but the heel has a plastic cap which makes it a bit slick (I almost wiped out when I walked full steam into my tile kitchen)... guess they’ll need to be scuffed up or replaced with rubber.

These shoes are very attractive and comfortable...and the fit is true to size. My only complaint is the leather stretches out quite a bit after just a short time of wearing. I've had to submerge them in water and sit them outside just to 'shrink' them back to size.

Nice sandals -
These shoes are really cute and comfortable. I gave four stars for comfort because they were a little wider than I would have liked. My toes slide slightly forward which makes me want to move my foot towards the heel to adjust every now and then. But overall a great-looking sandal.

I love these shoes! I ended up walking much more than I thought I would in them and didn't have any foot or back pain at all. I usually wear a 6 in Born shoes, and this pair was true to size. FYI, they are a little narrower compared to other Born shoes and take a little while to break in at the strap across the top.

These are SO comfortable! I tried several pairs of tall black sandals; these were by far the most comfortable (which is essential). Normally wear a 5 and 1/2 or 6, ordered the 36 and it fits perfectly. No cutting into the ankle with the ankle strap, soft footbed, and because of the slight platform in the toe area, these do not feel like a 3" heel when wearing them. Great shoe.

These are versatile and super comfortable. I bought these as my main summer sandals to have something cute to wear all day. My feet don't hurt at the end of the day. These shoes have a "walking on air" quality to them. Hope you like them.

The gold is very shiny and the material is slick, like a coating of clear plastic on top, not "leather" like at all. I am returning these; however, because I feel that the heel is uneven to the base of the shoe and it does not feel sturdy enough. Not that it is going to fall off by any means, it is part of the base of the shoe and well made, but too narrow for the heel and a potential "ankle turner".

This is my first review on Zappos. I had to write in for this shoe. I love these shoes! I got a pair in black patent leather. I usually have difficulty with high heel shoes. Born shoes are an exception. These in particular are beautiful on my feet and they are so comfortable! It's hard to believe that it has 3 inch heels! The black patent makes these shoes a little dressier and they are definitely great for showing off my feet in capris pants or skirts.

Initially I ordered them in gold in an 8. I am a true 8.5 that can wear an 8 sandal. But they were entirely too short, my toes were over the edge. Also the gold looked a little cheap in person (not smooth). I reordered in 9 in the brown, which looks much richer and more expensive. They fit beautifully. Very comfortable and look good on my muscular legs (does not chop off at the ankle like many ankle straps). I might have to order the black patent.

I love these shoes! They are so comfortable. I wear them for up to 12 hours during the day and my feet feel great. They look great as well. I wear them with skirts and capris. I would like to get them in more colors. These shoes are a nice comfortable dressy sandal that I will get a ton of use out of!

This shoe is fantastic. I have very particular feet - these days not wearing many heels, but these are truly comfortable. I think they look better on than in the photos, too – they’re slightly more delicate, not as clunky as they appear online. I got them in platino and they look great with a long white linen skirt. I’ll be wearing them to a wedding.

Gorgeous sandal -
I ordered these in brown & gold -- gold is usually not a color I'd chose (can't remember ever wearing gold shoes, to be honest) but when I saw them side by side, the choice was obvious. For a gold sandal, these are low-key as there's not a whole lot of surface area to attract attention. However, the gold sets off tanned legs wonderfully, what a fantastic summer shoe! Very comfortable, too -- the heel isn't too high nor too narrow, just a perfect, sexy style that works with jeans or skirts. Padded sole is very nice. A truly beautiful, well-made shoe, no matter what color you choose. In brown, I thought they kind of looked rustic with the wrapped leather T-strap, but in gold they're way more elegant. Try them both & see which you like... you might be surprised...

Best Summer Shoe -
I love these shoes. I have been looking for a gold sandal and this was perfect. I walked 3.5 miles in them one night, brand new, and I got no blisters and my feet did not hurt at all. I have narrow feet so the top strap is a little loose but does not cause any problems when walking.

Cute, sexy, versatile sandal -
I wear a size 9 but sometimes need a 9 1/2. The saleswoman talked me into a 10 as these don't come in 1/2 sizes. I think the 10 is a little too big but it is comfortable though I had to have extra holes put in the strap.
