The Nina is a great-looking shoe and fits the need for a comfortable school uniform shoe. I did have to pad the inside of the shoe under the ankle because my daughter has narrow heels. I really like the cap on the end of the shoe that prevents the scuffing you experience with the solid leather toe.

These shoes fit our 6 year old great! She wears custom orthotics and these accomodate them very nicely without causing her foot to be raised so high that it her heel slips out of the shoe. Also you do not see the orthotic from the side because there is a deep enough heel cup. They do not have removable inserts (unless you unglue them). It took us a long time to find a shoe that accomodated her orthotic so well. Very happy so far...

I absolutely love these shoes. My daughter 8, is very picky about her shoes and it\\\'s hard to find cute, comfortable and durable all in one shoe. They look great with everything and are great for gym class due to the rubber soles and toe. I\\\'m on my third pair and wish they would make them in more colors. If you get these shoes, you\\\'ll want them every year. I love Zappos!!!!!

Comfy shoe, but the liner makes a mess -
My 7-year-old daughter wears the brown suede version of this shoe as part of her school uniform, and she likes the shoe. My objection to it is the pink liner found on the brown suede version. It leaves a pink stain on her white socks every time she wears them. The stains come out in the wash, but only with some effort. I've never seen any of her other shoes cause such a mess every time she wears them.

Wonderful, dressy, play shoe -
My daughter, age 8, loves her new shoes and says they are very comfortable. I love the toe cap that keep them looking nice and not all scuffed up the first day of wear. We have bought really nice shoes before, just to have them looking old after ONE day because of scuffed toes. I do recommend trying at least a half size larger; they seemed to run small for my daughter. She can normally wear a 3 to 3.5 in many shoes but we ended up getting a 4 in this shoe. I also love that these come in a wide width.

Now that's a child's shoe!
I am a huge fan of this shoe. It is not only comfortable, according to my 7 year old daughter, it is also practical. The shoe is far more fashionable than a sneaker --matching with dressy/casual attire-- and is completely acceptable for p.e. class! And hey, what mom doesn't love the rubber toe shoe? I am old-school, I still polish shoes, and this little gem with the rubberized toe looks as good as new after a quick shoeshine!

Great Uniform Shoe -
I purchased this shoe for my daughter since she has a wide foot. I was a bit apprehensive because, personally, I do not think Nina shoes have been comfortable for myself. However, my daughter loves these shoes and they are so flexible and comfortable for her. I was very surprised and pleased with this shoe! It is great for school and with uniforms. My daughter can play in them and they stay relatively clean. Good construction and quality. I would recommend...especially if you have a wide foot!

These are the best shoes, comfortable, true to size, easy on and off, dressed up or casual, works for P.E. too. The best thing however, is the toes! They don't show scuffs and when you spend money on kid’s shoes you don't want to see scuffed toes on the first day they wear them home. These will become your favorite! I was so happy to see Nina come out with a new style this year. I look for them every fall. Don't stop carrying these Zappos!!! I'm counting on you!

Mary jane style shoe for active girls -
Nina shoes always work well with my daughter’s feet. She is a medium width but tends to have width near her toes. Some shoes are wide at the bottom and then are falling off at the ankles. The sales people call this a "box" foot. Anyway, Nina shoes work well for her. This shoe is cute enough for her too wear with her uniform dress and the pants and shorts too. The non-slip sneaker style sole is a nice feature too. So if your kid has a "boxy" foot give this shoe a try. Love, love Zappos too!

Great shoe -
My daughter had these shoes last year from a local shoe store; she wore them most everyday, with everything (dresses, jeans). She said they were her most comfortable shoe. My local store was not carrying this shoe this year, I am ordering today!
