This shoe is great! I use it to walk the dogs, and we walk/jog. I'm not sure you can run in them, I would like to know that myself. But they really work the calf and glute muscles.

I work on concrete floors 8 hours a day and it feels like I am walking on clouds. Best price anywhere!

MBT's Rock!
In more than one way. :) I bought these to get the best relief from arthritic toe joint that hurt most when bent. The motion of this shoe avoids that totally. Sizing is tricky I've read and was advised conflicting information. So I ordered 2 pair, a half size apart. Turns out the one a half size smaller was the best fit. But with Zappos free 2 way shipping, the trial was risk and cost free. The CONS: arch support is minimal, but I haven't tried my orthotics yet. Having so much fun rocking with my steps. They are VERY heavy, but that may be due to all the cushioning materials in the soles and bottoms. Will probably help tone muscles though. Really cushioned and springy and comfortable...

Comfortable shoe -
Comfortable shoe. Easy to get used to the rolling walking deal, but unclear if this actually translates into burning more calories or if it is just a comfortable shoe.

I love these boots. I was a little skeptical at first from reading the other comments, but bought them anyway. They arrived the very next day and were perfect. They look good and feel wonderful. The leather is softer than I thought it would be. I have nothing but praise for this boot.

They feel fine -
The shoes are well made, fit well, and are comfortable. Walking on the rolling soles takes some getting used to; I am getting comfortable with it, but a final judgment will take longer.

No more pain walking!
Great for long power walks. Used to have pain - shin splints, bursitis in my hip - switched to these "ugly" shoes and no longer have any pain. Have recommended to many people who experienced the same.

Heel slippage - Shoe takes some getting used to. Gets better after a break-in period. My heel slips up and down quite a bit unless the shoes are REALLY tight. Has improved a little bit over time.

MBT Chapas -
I gave these as a gift to my roommate who liked my MBT Chapas. So now we wear them everywhere. The only problem I have is that my MBTs did not come with instructional DVD so I had to watch my friends DVD. Sometimes the arch at the bottom hits the pavement funny. I have not fallen down, but it kinda trips me up.

MBT Chapa -
I had been thinking about trying MBTs for awhile. I was somewhat put off by the high price. I typically wear a 10.5-11. I ordered the MBT in an 11 and the fit is excellent. I have a wide foot and high arch. It is the most comfortable shoe I've ever worn. I found it easy to get used to. Just walking in it helped raise my awareness of my overall posture and the physiology of walking. I am considering a second pair (as soon as I can afford it).

A winner on all fronts!
Tho it takes a little to get used to walking in these MBT's, once started it is hard to stop! I have been in them regularly for the past 3 weeks, here in the Pacific NW, in India, Singapore and Hong Kong, and find them extraordinary. Even got asked by the TSA people in San Francisco if I was wearing MBT's, and when I said I was, the TSA lady said she was wearing them, too and as she must be on her feet hours a day, found them a tremendous help. As we chatted, a colleague came over and it turned out he was also in MBT's! And on the return from India, I got asked again if I had MBT's on, and if I liked them as the TSA guy had heard so much and was wanting to try them. He also said he had heard they were pretty expensive; I said they were not cheap but how important are your feet and legs! And gave him the Zappos.com address!

Buy them with confidence!
I was sitting on the fence about whether to buy these: I remain skeptical about all of the claims that they relieve pain, burn calories, or do anything miraculous. But this much I can say with certainty: The Chappa is a very well-made shoe. The construction is rock-solid and the uppers, soles, and eyelets are made from high quality material. Getting used to the "rocking" takes some time. After about a week of wearing them an hour or two a day, they begin to feel very natural. I've owned many different brands of pricey "comfort" shoes, each claiming to have the "secret" technology: Ecco, Mephisto, and Finn were among them. Out of all of them, I can honestly say that MBTs make the most noticeable difference in comfort. If you can get past the odd looks and the hefty price tag, the Chappas might soon become your absolute favorite pair of shoes.

Fantastic -
I was having some issue with my left foot. An x-ray revealed nothing. The pain some time moved from the side to the back to the front to the top with massive swelling to the point I had to buy a cane.
NO MORE WITH MBT SHOES
I HAVE HAD NO PROBLEM WITH SWELLING, or PAIN.

The Chapa Grows On You -
It takes a while to get used to balancing on these shoes. It's kind of like stepping on round rocks. At first you feel a bit unsteady, but they do feel good walking. I found that my arches were a little sore when I took them off. Overall I think they did what I needed - to alleviate some pain in my knees, legs, and waist when I walk. They're not quite as nice looking as I had hoped. More of an elaborate sneaker than a hiking shoe - but they're not horrible. Fit was good, although the heels were loose which I usually never have a problem with.

First let me address Zappos. This is my first purchase with the company and I am absolutely impressed. I ordered these shoes, on a Saturday night, because of the two way return policy but forgot to request 2 day shipping. So I called and explained that I was nurse and needed them quickly they sent them overnight free of charge. They arrived Monday. I called back thinking that a dvd was supposed to be included. The person told me the company dropped the dvd this year but they still had a couple of copies left laying around. She dropped in the mail free of charge. Also I was questioning the fit. She offered to mail another size free of charge so I could compare. This is the epitome of Customer Service. I will tell and have already told everyone to buy here.
Now to MBT.
As for the shoe it seems to do what the company claims. After a couple of days, the muscles in my calf, thigh and butt were aching. My legs felt like they did when I ran all the time. As a nurse, the first day I wore them for a 12 hour shift it was almost too much. By the end of day I was having a hard time. You have to maintain your balance in these shoes but that's their appeal. However, when you've had a bad day and get tired it's hard.
So all in all they seem to do what they claim and I would recommend them.

So far so good! It takes some getting used to, but I think they are "keepers".

 | | I have never come into contact with a company like yours! Youre on the spot and do exactly what you say youre going to do. You make everything so easy and fast. As long as youre out there in cyber space I will never buy a pair of shoes or a purse or anything I can buy from your store elsewhere! Response time is great; never have to worry if Im going to get my stuff on time, etc. Keep up the good work and thanks!
