This is a fairly good shoe but what I was hoping for is a cross training shoe. These shoes do not have the cushioning in the forefoot that I am looking for in a shoe. In fact, I find that this is a relatively hard shoe. I have very high arches and a narrow heel and I find that the arch support is inadequate for me. The heel fits better that the ASICS Cumulus for me with only a little slippage and the lateral support seems good. I will use this shoe as an everyday shoe for walking around the house and shopping as it is somewhat comfortable. However, I would not work out in this shoe.

This is the best athletic shoe I have ever owned. It is incredibly hard for me to find athletic shoes. I have a high arch, need lateral support (lots of it), have scar tissue on my heels and knee issues. I can stand in these shoes for 8 hours+ and have no problems. Have not found another athletic shoe that came even close to this in comfort.

Overall, I'm quite satisfied with my purchase. Pros: The Gel-Intensity offers excellent support for both the arch and heel and I can feel it as my feet hurt less relative to other shoes after long treks. This shoe is also immensely comfortable thanks to the cushioning and meshing. For the first few weeks it felt like I was walking on pillows! In the past I've had issues with my heels shifting when I walk; amazingly, that doesn't happen with this pair. I love the color schemes that're offered, too. I got the Flore/black/silver and it looks incredible the way they have the floral pattern etched in the blue background. Cons:The manufacturer claims this shoe helps to stabilize the wearer's gait, though I haven't felt any difference in that. The only other minor complaint I have is that this shoe is made for those with relatively normal shaped feet. So if you have wide foot or high arches, prepare for a fair bit of discomfort near the tongue of the shoe, generally more often when sitting than standing I've noticed. Summary: It's a great crosstrainer. It'll probably perform well for most and looks great to boot. Consumer Reports rated it highly which initially piqued my interest, but after wearing the Gel Intensities for a while, I'd definitely agree. Finally, as you've probably read elsewhere, it's definitely a good idea to order a half or whole size higher with this shoe.

This shoe is pretty comfortable for walking or low intensity workouts. I would not recommend this shoe for high intensity workouts because there is not a lot of support for lateral movement.

Good, but not great -
I teach high-impact aerobics most days of the week. I find these shoes lack the cushioning in the forefoot that I really want from a shoe. My feet are often tired. On the other hand, I'm not experiencing shin splints or knee problems with this shoe, which indicates it has good overall support (most other brands cause these problems for me). I recommend the Asics brand to anyone who cross-trains, but find that the Gel 1120V (a volleyball shoe) has worked best for me in the classroom.

Mostly wonderful -
I bought these sneakers because they are cross-trainers and not running sneakers - I can't run due to a back injury and wanted a sneaker that was specific to the range of exercise that I do. They are very comfortable 99% of the time; the only point of discomfort that I have noticed is that while riding the stationary bicycle, a part of the shoe rubs on the large tendon that runs between the foot and leg - otherwise, I am very satisfied.

Good overall workout shoe -
This is my first pair of Asics and I really like them. I'm using these shoes for kickboxing, weight lifting and step aerobics. They are comfortable and provide good lateral support. I went up a half size when I bought this pair since the other shoes I had been using were causing a tingling sensation in my feet. The extra room seems to have resolved that issue.

Huge fan of Asics, I have a pair for Volleyball and I bought this particular pair for Step Aerobics. Very comfortable on the feet! I plan to use them in a 5K I'm going to run in as well. Thank you!

Support, but no cushioning to speak of.
Disclaimer: I have only worn these on several short walks around the house. I have not worked out in these shoes, and wouldn't. They are VERY hard and unyielding. Just getting this shoe on is difficult. The amount of support seems fine, but I can't get past how stiff it is. The bottom of the shoe doesn't flex at all (I have more flexible hiking boots), and there's no forefoot cushioning that I can perceive. The back of the shoe is also hard and there is very little cushioning at the heel area to hug that part of my foot. I have very narrow heels and I always have to tolerate a certain amount of slipping, but the hardness of the materials makes the friction intolerable. Everyone seems to love these and they look great so I wanted to give them a chance. I put them aside for awhile then took them out for several more in-house try-ons over a couple of months. I hoped I'd get used to the stiffness and that they'd feel right, but no luck. I'll probably stick to running shoes from this brand.

Great workout shoe -
At first I wasn't sure I liked them, but after one workout, the shoes literally molded to my feet and now provide great support and real comfort. In the past I've worn Nike shox and NB. These, by far, are my favorite.

Immediately made a difference in my workouts -
These immediately made a difference in my workouts. Before I bought these shoes I was having pain in my knees & it was difficult to keep up in my cardio classes. After I bought them there was an extra spring in my step & because of that I had a lot more energy to do my workouts. I strongly recommend these for anyone who does a lot of machines & cardio classes.

I bought this shoe due to a recommendation in a magazine. The shoe is very comfortable and lives up to its claims. I use it for bicycling, weights, and on the elliptical trainer. I wear a 9 and 1/2 shoe but always buy size 10 in athletic shoes. It fits good.

I LOVE THESE SHOES! I got these for my upcoming wedding and they are perfect. The diamonds are a little much but other then that they are great! I like this shoe A LOT -
I like this shoe a lot for my workouts in the gym. It's comfy and cute! Very supportive as I am currently trying to overcome some knee issues. I found it to be true to size and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a good cross training shoe. I'm reluctant to wear it for everyday, I want to see how long it'll hold up just using it at the gym. We'll see!

Loyal Asics Customer's Big Disappointment -
As a person who struggles with serious plantar fasciitis - and has found that Asics is the only shoe that allows me to not be sidelined by foot problems, I must say that I was disappointed in this shoe. The workouts that I used these shoes for were step, rebounding (trampoline), kickboxing, athletic conditioning, and crosstraining classes. From the first wearing, these shoes felt like they were (as I call it) "flat". They didn't have the normal support, cushioning, and bounce that I have always found in Asics shoes. I felt like I was working out in years old Converse sneakers when I had these shoes on. By the third wearing, my heels were aching - a sure sign that my plantar fasciitis is returning. I bought a new pair of Asics called GEL-KAYANO 14 that are super. Check them out.

I usually wear 6 1/2, so the 7 is slightly large on me but they are SO comfortable! This is my first pair of Uggs, and I'm very happy with them. I love the braid going up the back b/c it really adds to the look of the boot.

Nice workout shoe for aerobics, tae-bo -
I bought this shoe because my running shoes would snag the carpet during indoor workouts/videos workouts. I have been using a Bosu ball and needed something that would allow me to go on and off of it--not a lot of deep grooves on the sole. This shoe was perfectly comfortable from the moment I put it on. I only gave it four stars because during some workouts I feel like I could use more cushioning under my toes. Otherwise, a great buy!

Nice but not what I hoped for.
I wear an 8 or 8.5 in dress shoes but I always get a 9 in athletics. The 9 in this seemed very big -- long as well as wide -- but worked OK with a thicker, cushioned Coolmax sock. I have a very narrow heel and even with a special lacing technique, I still get some slippage. This is disappointing because Asics used to be known for running narrow in the heel. Still, the shoe is reasonably comfortable. Rear-foot cushioning and support are excellent. Not enough cushioning in the toe area; however, for higher-impact activities or long periods of walking. My foot feels like it's on a slant -- with the heel higher than the toe. I'm sure this position is ideal for some people's feet and some activities. It took some getting used to and I'm not sure that it's right for me. I have worn these for personal training sessions as well as cardio machine workouts. For my feet, they just aren't right for running, aerobics or fitness dance. I love the look (I got the blue and silver. They are a bit shiny-blingy) and I will probably end up relegating these to a casual street shoe.

Pleasantly surprised!
I recently read about the ASICS Gel-Intensity in a fitness magazine. I had been searching for an all-around gym shoe for machines, weights, and classes. Readers tested this shoe for exactly that purpose, and it received a glowing report. I immediately placed an order and was pleasantly surprised to find the magazine article was right!
