This pair of running shoes is so light. There is no breaking in. Wore it as soon as I got it to walk the dog, it's been raining and the grip of the shoes was strong. You could feel it as you walk. Went running with it the next day and I wasn't disappointed at all. Happy with my purchase.

I got these shoes in pink. Love the look. Had to order them a full size larger than the USA 7.5 but they are wonderful walking shoes with the best slip resistant tread I have ever seen.

The word was true! I had heard great things about Mizuno as far as running shoes. Wish I did not wait as long as I did; would have saved me a lot of shopping. These shoes are great. I am extremely picky about my shoes and my feet as I have extremely high arches, narrow heels, and a wide toe box. I have had a stress fracture in my foot, and tend to pronate the right foot really bad which causes issues running. Anyway, usually I try on shoes and put them right back in the box. These I put on my foot and have kept on since. They are great. There is no break in time, no awkwardness to get used to; they just feel perfect as soon as you slip your foot into them. They are exactly what your foot needs. I am excited to use them on the trails and anticipate I will continue to use Mizunos in the future! Thanks Zappos for the awesome customer service, as always!

The Wave Ascend 4 is an excellent trail running shoe. While lighter weight than most alternatives, it offers the same cushioning as other Mizuno neutral shoes. It does add in some support features found in its lines, but just enough to give stability and structure on differing services. Perhaps most important is that these fit true to the rest of the line, if you know what your size is in any Mizuno running shoe, you can be confident these will fit you. Stylewise, the colors are nice and the knobby laces add some additional interest to the shoes.

I started wearing Mizuno in 2004 when training for a half marathon. I tried other several brands and have been most pleased with this brand. They have a different shoe for every type of foot. This shoe in particular has a nice sturdy rubber on the toe preventing breakage in the mesh from your big toe. The shoe laces are also "Beaded" which helps them stay tied. I really like the color also. You cannot tell when they get dirty. I always get my running shoes a half a size larger so I cannot attest to the sizing. I never get shin splints or have any other injuries when I have a good pair of Mizuno shoes on.

Great Trail Runner -
Mizunos are the best running shoes. These are great out of the box, lots of support - super cushy on the trails.

Great shoe -
I am very happy with the Wave Ascend, both as a casual running shoe and as a weekend/travel shoe. As usual, I ordered a 9 (I usually wear a 7.5-8 in dress shoes). The shoe is wider than previous Mizunos I have had, with a really large toe box.

Excellent shoes and service -
Mizunos are the best fit for my narrow, high arched foot, and these trail runners are a perfect fit. True to their design, they are stiffer than my regular running shoes, which is perfect for kicking up some dirt off the pavement, which is where I tend to run. I took them out and as always, Zappos has the best service.

I am an ER nurse and work 12 hour shifts on cement slab floors. The arch seems to be good and the look sure beats the plain white of old. Irene G
