Overall, I like them a lot, so far (I've had them almost a month). I think they look great, but of course that's subjective. They are reasonably comfortable, as long as you don't have to walk too much in them. They don't have a ton of support or padding, and after a long walk, my feet are less than comfortable. This is a weird observation, but I had to make a long (many hours) drive, and the backs of the shoes were really uncomfortable against my Achilles tendons during it (but maybe that's just all about my driving style?). Finally, the Organic Hippie Glue they use doesn't seem to be of the highest quality, and may not be all that water resistant; after a rain, the rubber decals on the backs of the heels are starting to come off. But, otherwise the quality seems to be fairly sturdy.

So after 1 week of wear I had to use super glue twice to fix these pieces of junk. They are comfortable, and look good, but of the poorest quality. I thought if I bought from a respectable company like Simple I would get good shoes. Not the case. The sole is breaking away from the heel, and the front rubber is already falling apart. By far the worst quality shoes I have ever owned.

These Shoes are great! First off, they are made with recycled materials. Second, they are really comfortable! I wear these with and without socks. The organic cotton is really soft, along with the foot bedding being kind of fluffy. I would definitely recommend these to anyone. I have heard they don't last that long; we will have to see about that. Give them a shot!

What a great pair of shoes and definitely my favorite pair of Simple. These shoes are super comfortable. I've been wearing them all summer without socks and the inside is still incredibly soft. I don't know what's in there, but it feels like pillows! Not a lot of support if you're somebody who is walking around all day. I've had no problems at all with the shoes holding up. The shoes look great. I've worn them with shorts, jeans and khakis. A little more stylish than just wearing a regular athletic style sneaker, in my opinion. Got many compliments from people because they're so unique. These will be my casual shoes for the next year for sure.

They look nice, not very comfy, though. As daily use shoes they work fine, but if you are taking long walks I would avoid. Fall apart fairly quickly, but I still love them.

These are fantastic shoes. Very comfortable, and the sole provides great support. Perfect for walking all day, but stiff enough to bike with. The fuzzy flannel lining is great, and hemp seems to be holding up well. The stitching on the heel has already started to tear loose the edges of the recycled inner-tube features, but this has not harmed wearing the shoe at all. I also managed to submerse them in grungy ocean water and mud, but they washed clean and dried marvelously. Fun kicks.

These shoes look dope! But are not made well for long term use. They get your feet sweaty and not a lot of sole support, so you get tired quicker while on your feet.

These shoes ran a little small, I usually wear an 11.5 but has to go with a 12. I really like the style, and the construction seems to be really good. This is a very comfortable shoe. Nice for a casual walk down your favorite street.

I absolutely love these shoes. This is my fifth pair of Simples, and by far the best. Previous Simples have fallen apart pretty quickly, or provided little support. These definitely don't have a lot of arch support, but they're better than other Simple models. I find them extremely comfortable, and get daily compliments from strangers who want to know where I got those shoes. I own eight pairs of regular day-to-day shoes, and I have to force myself to pick up any other pair. I really suggest buying a half-size up from normal, these run very slender. (I usually wear a 9.5, and I have another pair of Simple shoes that are 9s and fit great. I had to return a size 9 Tuba, though, and get a 10. They're running noticeably tight.)

I really like this shoe and the quality was not a problem, as it was in other reviews. However, this shoe tore up the skin around my achilles. After the cuts healed, I tried wearing them again. Unfortunately, same problem.

These shoes look great, but are of terrible quality! The first pair that we got fell apart in less than a week - the sole came off! We were told that it must be a defect so returned it for a replacement. Sadly, the replacement wore out after just 2 weeks! Apparently, Simple manufactures their shoes with an "eco-friendly" water-based glue which weakens when exposed even to the smallest amount of water. Since we live in the NW, the glue makes the pair worthless to us. Not appropriate for even slightly wet conditions. Look for different shoes if it ever rains where you live.

Not good out-of-the-box -
I'm giving these shoes 1 star because although they fit fine, they have little to no arch support. To wear them at all, I had to purchase a pair of drugstore orthotics. Once I did that, they were comfortable. But then the laces kept coming untied, even with double knotting, so I had to replace them too. And the workmanship seems a bit shoddy as well, with the toe guard starting to come unglued and the brand tag on one of them now about half off (no big deal on that last bit). So, although I like their look and their fit (with modifications) I definitely wouldn't buy them again.

Looks great. No Support. Wears out fast.
I think these shoes look great. I live in NYC and walk a lot. Within 2 months the entire back sole had worn through. My back also began to hurt (unheard of for me). There is no arch support at all. I wish I could recommend, but only buy these shoes if you will wear them occasionally and not for long walks.

These shoes were more comfortable than my old worn in Sambas right when I put them on, no wear in period required. They almost have a hint of that athletic shoe 'forward roll' - walking in these somehow felt easier. The rubber heel label on the left shoe fell off after a few days, but I'm crossing my fingers and hoping it was just a fluke and not indicative of the shoe's durability.

They are very comfortable and light. I would have to say though that I do not recommend these for fast walking and very long walks. Then again, it is supposed to be a casual shoe. I like these things. Very cool idea about using old rubber tires for the rubber sole on the bottom.

While I've only had these a week or so, these shoes have exceeded my expectations as far as comfort and looks go. If they are as durable as they seem, I'd buy again.

Great Kicks!
These shoes are extremely comfortable! Low-Moderate arch support, but my foot doesn't really call for much more than that. Very stylish look, a great shoe for someone looking to grow out of their converse but still want a hip-looking low top that looks great with jeans, short, or slacks. Love the environmental design, the best "green" shoe out there!

First off, Zappos is the greatest, I ordered these Simples, paid for standard shipping Zappos upgraded my shipping at no charge and this happens all the time! Love these shoes, I always wear a mens 7 and they run big but they don't come smaller...I would order another pair.

My husband likes the look of these shoes with his grey & black jeans. However, they are not as comfortable as other Simple shoes he has owned. There is very little cushion.

Love the look of the shoe. It is very eye catching. Also like the fact of all the green aspects. Felt it was pretty true to size. Have gotten a lot of positive comments about the look of the shoe.
