My go-to shoes!
I just bought these shoes yesterday and I LOVE them. More than you thought you COULD love a shoe. Really. The leather upper is *so* incredibly soft and supple, there was absolutely no breaking-in period. These shoes can *easily* be dressed up or down--they look great with dress pants or jeans. I'm a knitter, and I like to show off the socks I've made--the open-backed maryjane style is perfect for that!
When I've had clogs in the past, my foot has always slipped around in them. These clogs stay securely on my feet, and the adjustable strap allows you to create a customized fit.
The only thing I'm not sure about is that the actual sole *seems* to be very thin. The wedge heel is leather; the only actual rubber part of the sole is a very thin (but effectively skid-resistant) area on the very bottom of the shoe--it's maybe 1/16th of an inch thick. I don't know what I'll do when these need to be re-soled, and I hope it's a problem that can be solved. Though no need to worry about it yet; I have a feeling that these shoes will wear like iron!
A couple notes on fit: I ordered these in a 7, though I usually take a 6.5. The 7s fit me like a glove, perhaps even a bit *too* much like a glove--a 7.5 wouldn't have hurt, I suspect. My feet are also interestingly-shaped--wide at the ball, narrow at the heel. The clog part is no problem at all for my heel, and the ball part of these shoes fits better than most regular-width shoes, though a wide probably would've been even better.
I'm already researching my next pair of Born shoes--I'm officially a convert!

GREAT!!!
These shoes are so comfortable and so cute. I work in the health arena and must wear closed toe shoes and these are comfortable (important as I'm on the run all day) and very cute. I love Born shoes and as usual, I am very happy with my purchase. Go for it!!!
