The shoes I purchased after getting an evaluation on my gait and pronation. My legs feel much better during exercise with the shoes to adjust for slight over pronation. At this point I am not running a lot yet, but I am training on the treadmill and elliptical machine as I prepare to do more running.

This version is much better than the 13 and the 12. I was an enormous fan of the 11 and had found the shoe I wanted for the rest of my life. This shoe is like the 11 except it has a little more stability, it's a snugger fit and you don't feel the ground like you did in the 11s (I loved feeling the ground). I have tried a number of shoes to try and 'feel the ground' again, none work quite as well as the 14s do, six weeks into using them, that is. I really liked this shoe beginning with week four and and I used them for 8 weeks after. I average about 50 miles a week, 5'11"/175lbs.
Other brands recommended by reviewer: Nike Free if you love the ground like I do.

I have been a fan of the DS Trainer for a long time, and I'm happy to report that the DS 14 is my favorite model to date. The previous model (DS 13) didn't fit my feet at all (toe was very different, among other things), and I was anxiously awaiting the release of the 14s. The toe box is back to normal on the 14s, and the shoes fit great.

Great Shoe!
The new DS-Trainers are very light and they also look a lot better than last year’s bright green. They stay tight to the feet and are good for slight over-pronators. I will continue to use DS-Trainers in the future.
