I have owned Salomon shoes in the past. They always fit perfect and were ultra durable. These Exit Peak look nice and have a good sole, but they are not true to size. My shoe size is not quite a 10 1/2 and these shoes seemed to feel closer to a 10. The smaller size put the arch support in the wrong place. If you do decide to order a pair, I would definitely go a 1/2 size larger.

Good shoe for winter running/walking -
What this shoe lacks in comfort, it makes up for in ability to handle snow and slush. I purchased these to handle my winter running and they've done that admirably. Not a shoe with a great deal of arch support or cushioning, so those sensitive to those needs in a shoe probably should pass on this one. Looking for a durable shoe, this is a good choice.

I have odd feet and also use a knee brace that has a heel cup that goes down inside my shoe to hold the brace in place. I had to try three shoes to get the right size and fit, and the Exit Peak is perfect in all respects. But the no questions asked free return postage policy of Zappos really was special. I thank you and highly recommend you for any shoe purchase. Your friendly service makes buying shoes on-line a pleasure.

I'm a true 7.5 but the 7.5 was too big and the 7 fit too small. I'm somewhere in between. Sizing is tricky. Thank goodness Zappos has a great shipping policy and makes it convenient for us customers. I'm now looking for another shoe.

I tried 9 different shoes before opting for these Salomons (thanks, Zappos!) to replace my old pair of Salomons. What I like best about these shoes is the lacing: they have no hooks, yet the laces tighten and loosen so easily, it's like having slip-ons. I've worn them for a long day hike and lots of shorter walks, and they have remained quite comfortable.
