Good support -
I was happy that I could measure and specify the height of the arch. It held up well on my hiking vacation. The full length makes it harder to get into some shoes. I travel with both partial and full footbed.

Wish I could have kept these--
They're actually kind of neat. The rigid arch and heel assembly looks like it’s totally hard and unbendable, but once your foot is actually on the footbed, you can see how it flexes to accommodate your stride. So it is really really rigid, but it does flex a little bit as you walk. The sizing system is also terrific, because it can accommodate any arch, any shoe size, any heel width. The rigid material ends right at the arch and doesn't extend into the forefoot, so these would be great for someone looking for really firm arch/heel stability while not compromising room in the toe box of a shoe. Unfortunately I'm going to be returning these because I was hoping for something with a little more support under the ball of the foot. The entire forefoot area is just a thin foam. I would recommend wearing these with lace-up shoes, because the heel-and-arch assembly seems to take up a lot of space in a shoe.

 |  | Dear Zappos, I am a very happy customer. I wanted to write and tell you HOW MUCH. I have spent thousands of dollars on shoes from Zappos online in the past few years. I live near an outlet and have only been there once. I buy shoes for everyone; me, my husband, my grandkids. I have NEVER had a bad experience at Zappos, never been refused wonderful and courteous service. There is no one out there in the world that I know of who has the customer service you do. It is unparalleled and the reason people come back and back. Zappos is successful in every way because of the customer service. Shoes can be bought anywhere. Customer happiness cannot. I have several stores and online sites that I will never shop at again because of customer service. I only give a place of business, including restaurants, one time to mess up.
