My doc recommended them to me!
These really helped so much with the pain that I was having in my foot! I went to the doctor, and he said that I was having pain due to over training, and recommended these insoles. They have helped SO MUCH!!!

Spenco PolySorb Hikers and Total Support Insoles -
Both of these insoles are the best I've seen but differ to some degree in their use. The Hikers are a bit softer and are perfect for hiking and walking - straight line stuff. The Total Support model is better for me for Golf and Athletic shoes which, while still need supreme comfort, give a bit more stability on uneven terrain and a bit rougher use. Think of the Total supports as better off-roaders while for most casual walking and everyday general use the Hikers are really superb. I've tried many different replacement insoles and many are too firm, many have too high an arch support, or none at all. The bottom line is that with these two products I now have the ability to modify the performance of every shoe I have at will. Thanks to Zappos for offering great products, wide selection, and a knowledge base not commonly found at typical shoe stores or even athletic departments. Walking On A Cloud -
The first pair of Spenco insoles I ever had was in 1996 when I was in nursing school and we had to walk in the Saint Patrick's Day Parade. It was like walking on a cloud the whole 3 miles. I now have arthritis and peripheral neuropathy and can no longer work as a nurse because of it. Having said that, if I can tell you that these insoles allow me to walk without pain in comfort, can you imagine how good they will feel to YOU?! I HIGHLY recommend them.
Other brands recommended by reviewer: The first pair of Spenco insoles I ever had were Cross Trainers, which were excellent.

Old reliable -
I bike as a commuter, I work summer seasons at a resort in Alaska and I work as a Chef in busy places like New York, New Orleans and San Francisco. I need and use only tried and true footwear. I use the Spenco PolySorb hikers in all my endeavors. I rip out the foot beds in my hiking boots, and cycling shoes. I make sure to buy the next size up in kitchen clogs to accommodate these food beds.

I've worn Spenco for years and now my daughter wears them in her shoes for nursing. They last for a long time and I've washed them (by hand) many times. They hold up well and give me the extra cushioning in the heel and forefoot that makes any shoe more comfortable (as long as the shoe has enough room for an insert). I now always use Zappos first--the best service I've ever had purchasing via the Internet,

Maximum hiking comfort -
I added these to my Scarpa M3 SLs as the stock insoles were very thin and hard and I was having issues with vibration from the soles making my toes numb for up to 5 days after a 15 mile hike (my average day). I tried the Spencos with the plastic ribbing and what not but found them not to be 'it'- they are built to add support, when I needed pure shock absorption. About half way through a 270 mile hike on the Pennine Way (UK) I bought these. Best decision I ever made! They were comfortable right off the bat. They do take some volume out of the boot, but not too much when you consider the very high level of shock absorption. I have hiked up to 19 miles in a day with these in the Scarpa's and had no recurrence of the numbness. At days end my feet always come away feeling a lot better than I reckon they should when I use these. In short, they are the best insoles I have found. Don’t think twice about buying them.

BEST OF THE BUNCH -
Tried about 5 different brands...these were the best of the bunch. Added bounce to the shoe and support. They add a little bit of height to the footbed so make certain the toe box is tall enough...and they give you two pairs instead of one...FOR THE SAME PRICE...GREAT DEAL.

Excellent Insoles -
Learned about these insoles from comments of another shoe buyer and followed his advice to try them. Very glad I did. Altogether better than those I bought at drugstores. I wear them with Asolo Fugitive shoes, also from Zappos.

Improved Comfort -
Having purchased a pair of shoes from Zappos I decided to go ahead and also purchase a few pairs of sole inserts. After receiving both my shoes and the inserts I must say that I am happier with the sole inserts than I am with the shoes. I work in a manufacturing and manage a floor that requires me to walk several miles a day in heavy work boots. Prior to using this product my feet would hurt by the end of the day; now I no longer feel any pain. I am very pleased with this product and will continue to replace existing inserts with a this or a similar product.

Spenco the greatest -
I have used these inserts for about 15 years. My feet require the extra cushioning they provide. They are washable just don't put in the dryer and you can use them for a long time.I even have them in house shoes. I usually take out the existing insole & replace with these. They can be trimmed in the toe area without any problems. Make sure you order the correct size in order to have the arch in the correct place and then make adjustment to the toes. Use It & Love IT!!!

Love these insoles -
I have spurs in my heels and these insoles really help, when they get old I know when to replace them as soon as my heel starts to hurt again so I know how good they work.
