If your child's school requires an all-white (limited logo), non-marking sole athletic shoe, then this shoe is the answer. My daughter wore it to school with her PE uniform and two moms called to asked where they could get the same shoe for their daughters. The design is more tapered than the standard athletic shoe most kids are now used to. If your child's foot is on the longer/lean side, especially at the toe, I'd recommend sizing up a least a 1/2 size. The white leather is a little more expensive but worth the investment because of ease of polishing (re-whitening).
