Highly recommend! I was looking for an attractive yet comfy shoe to wear while on crutches for several weeks (recovering from hip surgery. These are so cute and they feel great on my feet. Great traction on rainy days & slippery surfaces which is my biggest concern.\r\n\r\nThe color is a bluish tint which worried me at first, but still looked good with black pants and socks. Would work with brown, grey, black or blue outfit!! Looks nice with casual skirts & dresses, with a nice heel that makes them feel a dressier than a typical casual shoe.

I really loved the way that these shoes look, but the fit has been a problem. The area surrounding the forefoot is too narrow for me, I seem to be getting constant blisters, and the shoes does not have much arch support. I find that my forefoot aches after a day in these. It may just be a problem for my particular foot, but I think that some people with wider feet (C width) may find these uncomfortable.

Seemed like they\'d be really comfortable if only they would have fit. Unable to fasten button and a little too short. Have to go back. Unfortunately, I wear an 11 so reordering in a bigger size isn\'t an option.

I bought these shoes just in time for a vacation where I'd be doing a lot of walking. A bit risky since I didn't have time to break them in but these shoes didn't let me down: they have a cushioned sole with good arch support. My feet were grateful to step into them each day. It's a nice-looking shoe, particularly for a walking-type shoe, that gives some flexibility to dress up or down (but probably not work attire). And, since I am only 5'3. I appreciated the extra bit of height these shoes gave me. You may want to order one size up; I nearly always wear a 6.5 but with this shoe I needed a 7.

I really, really like these shoes. They are replacements for a pair of pricey Mephistos that absolutely killed my feet on a trip last year. I’ve "test driven" these shoes on a Florida trip to double-check their comfort. The shoe also has great stability. The bottom tread provides additional security against slipping. Because I have a narrow heel, I really need the strap which is set far enough back to hold the shoe onto your foot. Because I’ve had multiple foot surgeries, I require a LOT more padding than these shoes have (only SoftWalk shoes are padded enough for me and they don’t make anything remotely similar). I added a ball-of-the-foot gel pad on top of which I inserted a drugstore-type orthotic, both for additional padding and arch support. The two of these additions made the shoe fit my foot better. On my trip, I’ll wear thin socks to ensure that no blisters form from any heel rubbing while I’m in Italy. If I hadn’t needed the additional padding under the ball of my foot, I would’ve used a drugstore "heel cup" to fill in the extra heel space. It’s unfortunate that "double lasts" are no longer made for those of us with narrow heels, but the added room in the shoe makes it easy to add padding, etc.

These don't work for me -
Unfortunately, I have to return these. Love the look and practicality, but my toes bump the front of them when walking. It's not that they're too big; perhaps it's just that the heel to toe angle isn't right for my feet. I am keeping another pair of Merrell shoes, which fit great, even though the footbed and sole seem similar to these ones.

I LOVE these shoes. They are at least as comfy to stand/walk in for a long time as any gym shoes I've owned, but they look elegant & sporty with a pantsuit for work, a nice skirt, and with jeans or shorts. When I bought them online, I was not sure how much traction the soles would have, but the treads are deeper than they look in the pic online, and the sole has great traction. I could easily do mild hiking in these shoes & be perfectly comfortable too. They are the perfect all-purpose shoe - I bought them so I could only carry a couple pairs of versatile shoes when traveling, and they are perfect for that purpose & more.

This is a comfortable shoe that works well in a business environment that leans more towards business casual. I wear it with suits and dress pants; it would also be fine with casual outfits. I ordered the 8.5 based on other reviews (I normally wear an 8) and the shoe fits; it is just a tiny bit loose in the heel, but that is often a problem for me.

Sadly Disappointed...
I love, love, love Merrell shoes. Unfortunately, these seemed about a 1/2 size smaller than marked and narrower than normal. I love the look of them, but I have another pair of Mary Janes from Merrell and I could live in them. Unfortunately, for the price, I'll have to return these.

Very comfortable stylish shoe. Great to wear at work or when chasing my kids at the park.

I was sadly disappointed -
I love Merrell shoes and these shoes are so cute! Unfortunately, I was disappointed after trying them on. At the opening above the toes, they cut into the top of my feet. I tried this style in another brand and had the same problem. So, the style just isn't right for my feet. So Merrell can't be faulted here, it's my feet!

Pretty comfy -
I have recently discovered the delights of Merrell shoes. Sometimes they aren't so pretty but it seems like the Plaza line is a little more stylish. I ordered 3 pairs and decided to keep this one due to its overall look. However, I have a ridiculously high instep and the strap cuts a bit toward the end of the day - but that's just me. Otherwise these are really a nice shoe. Feels like you're walking on pillows!

Ordered 1/2 size larger and love the fit. From reading other reviews, these shoes run 1/2 size smaller. I bought these shoes for hiking, but have not tried them out yet. I love the look, very stylish with jeans and casual dress. It is hard to find shoes with this kind of quality for the price. I highly recommend the Emme.

I bought these in smoke- love the color, goes well w/khakis and jeans. The fit is not perfect for me, and less than I generally expect for shoes in this price range/brand. I am keeping them, though.

So cute and comfy!
I love these shoes! They are incredibly comfortable, and I think very cute, which is a hard combination to find. Nice rounded toe for comfort but they don't look in the least bit clunky. The strap is a little tight and the shoe felt too snug at first but it is giving. The sole of the shoe is really bouncy. I would love to have every color!

I think these are a nifty looking casual Mary Jane. My foot is narrow but they fit pretty well. Not much arch support even tho' it looks like it and just not very comfortable.

IN LOVE WITH MY SHOES!
This is the perfect shoe! It goes perfectly with black, brown, blue or gray (I know - doesn't seem possible). It looks great with jeans, skirts and I even like them with dress pants. Feminine and cute with a funky edge.
The picture doesn't do this shoe justice at all. The black has a bluish cast and the stripe looks silver or bronze depending on your outfit socks and accessories. It is super-comfortable on my picky feet.
I wear a half size smaller in Merrell than in other shoes. Normally I'm a true 7.5 but in Merrell I'm a 7. I have several pairs and have found their sizing very consistent.

Wonderful...yet need a 1/2 size larger than usual -
I love this shoe...I make my living on my feet (hairstylist), I can work in these all day, feel pretty, and my feet do not hurt! They are very light in weight...so comfy on the feet. I did need a 1/2 size larger than I have ever worn. Zappos was AMAZING about the return process!

Very comfortable work boot. Redwings are the way to go. The sole on this boot is extremely soft and comfortable. It’s like wearing a pair of high top leather sneakers. I recommend this boot to the tradesman who is on his feel all day and needs relief. This boot does not need any breaking in. Just out of the boy and off to work you go. The leather is very soft and pliable. Boots are roomy in the toes even though they are steel toe (which I do not need, but it seems that every Redwing boot has a steel toe, so I settled). I have a size 14 shoe and was worried that I would not have any room in the toes. Excellent fit, true to size. Thanks Zappos!

Good weekend shoe -
These shoes are very comfortable and easy to walk in but my foot moved around a lot inside of them. I'm not sure if they are too big overall or just too wide but I find they fit quite well with a gel insole.

Lovely shoe, poor fit!
I bought these shoes to wear to a trade show. While they seemed comfortable at first, they actually caused a major problem on the ball of my foot! I developed sesamoiditis (inflammation of the tiny bones in the ball of the foot) and could barely walk! Possibly a 1/2 size bigger would have been better. I was surprised as Merrells are usually perfect for me.

I purchased these shoes for work (I do programming for children with disabilities) and these shoes were perfect! Great for an active person, and really stylish. They did rub a small blister on my pinky toe, but I'm sure that's just a part of the breaking-in process. Overall, a wonderful purchase!

A comfortable shoe, stylish enough for work -
I'm a teacher, so I'm on my feet all day long. The challenge for me is to find a comfortable shoe that is hip (can't wear Danskos every day!). These shoes perfectly fit the bill. There was no breaking-in period. They have great heel support and look good.
