Hurts all my toes!
I have a pair of Sofft heels (Vondra, I think they're called?) and I love them. I can wear them basically all day as a teacher. These shoes, however, not so much! The straps really hurt all my toes, especially the pinkies. I think because of the patent leather, the straps are not as flexible and do not stretch out or mold to your feet as much. Maybe the plain leather would be better. They do look really good though. I have EXTREMELY high standards for comfortable shoes, so maybe if you are used to putting yourself through pain then these would feel good. They are okay-ish to stand still but any walking, forget it. Not only do the toe straps rub, but the back straps gave me little blisters/cuts. I put some "foot petal" strappy strips on them and it feels a bit better, but not enough to wear to work all day. Disappointing. :(

Quality Shoe -
Sofft Galen is a well-made shoe with very little break-in time. I ordered a narrow and the width was fine, but I think the length was a half-size short. My only negative is the toe length itself seems short and made my toes look a little squished and fat. You can expect the leather to stretch just a little. I am very pleased with the quality of the shoe.

I gave this 3 stars in the comfort area because the leather upper is hard. Plus, the inner foot area rubs me the wrong way (maybe cause of a bunion), but I think it’s the style… the way that it’s designed. The footbed is very comfortable considering its heel height. Style is great, very classical with a nice little spin in the gold lining.

Footbed not like other Sofft heels!
This shoe is distinctly different from Sofft's usual heftier construction. Sofft has always been a serious shoe - very well constructed, but these are different and like a previous reviewer wrote, they do not seem like Sofft. They are a nice shoe but they are not like my other Sofft Nymphs that I can wear ALL day with no pain in my feet. I personally think the ankle strap is rather indelicate looking on the foot. It’s just too wide.

My toes were pinched throughout. I ordered the extra wide for my fat foot, but toes were pinched and the inside of the toe strap bothered my big toe a bit. I was able to stand on it for a couple of hours and then I had to sit and rest my feet for a few minutes before attempting to walk with them again. They are very pretty and stylish and I hope if I get another chance to wear them, I won't have the same trouble as the first time.

Tight Ankle Strap -
Maybe it's just me, but the ankle strap on these was really small. I bought the "wide" version, but they seemed pretty narrow still. I decided to return these and keep looking for wide wedge sandals.

Great sandal for wide feet -
Just got these to replace a beloved pair that finally fell apart - nice mix of pretty and comfy. I walk a lot and have small, wide feet. I normally wear a 6 wide, but on the advice of other reviewers went with a 6.5 and they fit perfectly. Comfortable right out of the box!

Impulse buy that spawned more purchases -
I bought these on a whim, a last-minute addition to my attire for a christening. I wore these the same day, right out of the box, for the christening… plus the party afterwards (which went to midnight). Usually I can be seen wandering about a party with my shoes in hand, but not this time. I took them off only twice and that was to let other people try them on! I'm going to buy a second pair, so I will have these in both brown and black. Cute and comfortable, just like my many other pairs of Sofft.

Comfortable...Comfortable...Comfortable!!! I have arthritis in my left big toe – not pretty, but true! I love high heels and I love stylish shoes, but it's become very difficult to find anything that LOOKS good and also FEELS good in a wider width! This is my first pair of Sofft shoes and they're AWESOME!!! In fact, I bought the shoe in black and am waiting for brown in my size to come in so I'll have two pairs!

I bought them for a casual backyard wedding - wanting something that wouldn't sink into the grass but that wasn't a flat. These were great! Super comfortable, I wear them all the time now.

Best sandal ever!
I put these on for the first time and instantly fell in love! I can wear them all day, literally run in them and they never ever hurt my feet! I'm getting one in every color.

These shoes look great and I get lots of compliments. They come in wide size, which is great for a shoe with a heel. My toes don't get squashed. They are also a little flexible, so they seem to absorb some of the impact of walking on high heels. I'm very satisfied with them.

Beautiful but OOUCH!
This is a beautiful and stylish shoe. I wear an 8 wide but this one cuts into my little toe as the day wears on. That usually doesn't happen with Sofft shoes. I'll have them stretched and hope for the best.

Great every day sandal -
I am very happy with this shoe. It is extremely comfortable, but still has heel height. Perfect for work (I am on my feet a lot) and still cute enough to wear out at night. It did pinch my pinkie toe a bit the first few times I wore it, but not too bad at all.

I've worn these twice now. I think that leather would have been immediately comfortable but patent leather takes a little breaking in. I think I will enjoy this shoe for the rest of the season.

These are really comfortable. The entire wedge (on the white shoe) looks like wood, but is really some sort of rubbery material -- which provides a lot of cushion when you walk. I could run in these.

Adorable shoe even with its comfort issues -
I absolutely love the look of this shoe. It is really cute! I find the wedge with straps around the ankles much easier to walk in than conventional heels. However, not too long after wearing them, the ball of one of my feet was getting irritated I think by the area that transitions from the tan padding to the black leather. I put a liner in and walked around shortly and it seemed better even though it made the shoe a bit smaller. If the shoe has a slight arch support, my tiny little feet have a hard time telling because my feet are rounded high in the middle. I think I will wear them again with the lining and if that works, I'll consider buying the yellow ones.

Nice looking but too big -
I loved the dressy look to these shoes (I ordered black patent) but they were all around too big for my feet. Length and width was fine but the ankle strap could not be tightened enough to hold my foot back from the extra roomy toe area. These would probably be great on someone with less bony ankles and feet.
