The leather is beautiful and the style is very cute, but be aware that there is absolutely no padding in this shoe. The shoe also seemed a little short to me, I ordered a 9, my regular size, but that could be because of the raised heels, which I am not used to wearing. I did not like the construction of the heel; it's molded plastic, not leather or wood.

I really love this shoe. From the instant that I put it on, it was comfortable. I like the neat appearance. It is almost as if you are wearing a nice looking pair of boots.

These shoes are instantly comfortable - I\'ve had them before so I knew they would need no breaking in. They are classy looking and can also be worn very informally. They make big feet look smaller.

I bought these shoes for my mother for Mother's Day and she absolutely loves them. Comfortable, great color, very stylish for such practical shoe and the heel is a perfect height for her. I have never heard her so excited about a pair of shoes. I bought them to replace a similar pair that I had gotten her several years ago which she wore to death. She likes these even better. I recommend Rieker shoes wholeheartedly to everyone.

I have this shoe in black and a similar one in whiskey. I have to say I was disappointed in the comfort of this shoe. It has no padding in the sole and no arch support. It also lost its shape very quickly because the leather is so soft, which can be a good thing, but my feet need a little better support. I kept them and wore them for a season, but would not buy again.

The Rieker Woven is a fabulously comfortable shoe right out of the box. The shoe is true to size, dead on true to size. I ordered a 5.5, and that is exactly what arrived. The leather is very soft and comfy. Color is just as represented in online photo. The heel strap is comfortable as well, and does NOT rub or create friction on the heel. These shoes came out of the box and immediately went to a convention...lots of walking. Yet, at the end of the day, feet were fine!

Nice people out there -
I can't say enough nice things about the way the Zappos people treated me -- I had made a mistake in ordering and they were so helpful. Unfortunately, the shoes, which I was looking forward to wearing (my friend had raved about them) aren't comfortable. They're back at the shoemaker's for another stretching. I have severe Rheumatoid Arthritis in my feet so I'm sure other people won't have the problems I did. However, I felt the shoe ran "small" although one reviewer said the opposite. Maybe the shoemaker can make them wearable this time. However, I will try Zappos again.

Would be excellent if my feet weren't wide -
This is a great looking shoe and very comfortable, unfortunately not comfortable for wide feet because my little toes rubbed so bad that after an hour I could barely walk. I'll try them again with moleskin on the toes in hope of redemption.

Great shoe!
I bought this shoe as a birthday present for my sister who has psoriatic arthritis which affects her feet, as well as bunions. She has a wide foot, but a narrow heel. She loves it! I tried it on, since we wear approximately the same size, and thought it was extremely comfortable. I considered buying a pair, but wanted them in a more brown-brown than the whiskey color currently available, so I'll wait. But, I can say that, weeks later, my sister is still loving this shoe. It looks great with pants, with or without socks, and would make a great shoe for casual skirts or dresses. The woven style is very forgiving of foot shapes, including bunions. BTW, since this is European sizing and my sister wears 7.5, I bought her the equivalent of an 8 and it fits perfect.

This is the only shoe I ever wore that was complimented by so many people!!! I have 2 pairs of red, 1 beige, and 1 black pair and to top off the compliments: these shoes are so comfortable!

Except for the lack of any arch support, which is something I really need, this is a really excellent shoe. It's hard to find closed-toe sandals that are great for skirts or slacks, but this shoe fits that bill perfectly. I hope they NEVER discontinue this shoe!!!

Very good shoe. Bought this the day before a June conference in Rome, Italy. The shoe is comfortable and looks good with business-casual pants. I walked a lot both at the conference and in Rome itself. The shoe was quite comfortable right out of the box for most surfaces, but I did add a gel-type pad to cushion the ball of my foot a bit more on concrete and cobblestones in Rome. I do like the styling of the updated version of this shoe a bit more, but it wasn't available in black when I ordered. All-in-all, another great shoe from Rieker!

I have been wearing Rieker for several years now. I have these in brown and black and they go well with just about everything. They are comfortable from the minute they are put on.

Bought this shoe in black and brown - liked the look of the brown better, so I kept it. It's a comfortable shoe that looks great with any casual outfit. I think that this kind of shoe gets better the more worn in it looks. Will keep you posted!

Quality has changed -
I bought this shoe in ninety seven. It was such a soft shoe that needed no breaking in. I have a more recent version (2004) and it's not nearly as soft. It's an eye-catcher every where I go , but it feels nothing like the first. Wish they’d bring the old one back. I still wear them more.

I'm buying another pair today!
I've had this shoe about two weeks, and it may be the best shoe I've ever worn. Absolutely comfortable, with or without stockings. I've worn mine every day, either to the office with pantsuits, or just around the house for a very slipper-like feel. It's quite expensive for a casual shoe. Nevertheless, for this amount of comfort, the price is OK. I'm ordering another pair today.

Distinctive yet comfortable -
This is my Holy Grail of shoes, one of the greatest pairs of shoes I have ever owned. I purchased two pairs to replace my original pair that I've had for over 10 years. My old pair is still in fabulous condition but became kinda loose after I lost 80 lbs.! I still get compliments every time I wear them. I have been looking to acquire another pair for years but had no luck. I had worn the maker's name off the insole so I didn't really know where to start. Zappos to the rescue! Even though every shoe in the known universe is on this site, I was surprised at how quickly I worked my way through the search options and found my perfect shoe. Thank you! I am pleased to see that all these years later the quality is still the same.

Cute shoe, but stretched a lot. I’m disappointed they didn't keep their shape. No arch support and no cushion in the soles. Having said all that, I've nearly worn them out! They don't hurt my feet and are easy to slip on and go.

Great shoe -
I love this shoe since it is one of those casual shoes you don't have to wear socks with, yet it still looks dressy enough to wear with jeans or dress pants. I had a brown pair for years that I even wore walking around Italy with no problem. The forefoot could use a little more cushion, however, that is easily resolved with an insert. Very versatile shoe.

I love this shoe. I now have it in 3 colors. They are very, very comfortable and I always get many compliments when I wear them and many "Where did you get them?" comments. Service from Zappos is always 5 Star Plus.

I was looking for a very comfortable, supportive and HANDSOME sophisticated shoe to wear with nice slacks when I am not in my New Balance 991 with an orthotic. I bought two colors and am looking forward to wearing them this fall. I may even buy the third color!

When I filled out the return form online last night, I also ordered another pair in 4E and it arrived at 3:30 pm today! WHAT SERVICE!!! I will be keeping this pair as they fit great!
