I wanted very much to have a pair of mid-calf grey boot. These seem nice on the photo and the price is just right. When I took them out of the box, they appeared to be the most ugly boots I've ever seen. The leather is a bit shiny grey, which makes them look like a pair of old worn soft rain boots. And, part of the reason I bought them was for the 2 1/4" heels; they are actually at least 2 3/4" heels, way above my tolerance limit. They will go back.

These boots are wonderful. They are fashionable as well as comfortable - thanks to the wider width. Zappos is a great company to do business with - fast and efficient - great service. Wish others could follow their example.

Good looking, but too big -
I wear a 9 usually; on advice of earlier reviews ordered 8.5, and it too was quite loose--may be a little wide too. Would be good-looking w/slim pants/jeans tucked in, very nice quality. I may look for something w/slightly lower heel.

Nice, roomy boot -
I have wide feet so was glad that these are indeed wide. They are an attractive boot to wear with skirts and also look nice with dressy pants for work. I like the soft shaft of the boot which doesn't rub against my leg. I plan to buy a cushion insert as, although fairly comfortable, I'm on my feet all day so will appreciate the extra cushioning.

Very nice!
I agree -- these definitely run big. I'm a very
reliable 8 and I was swimming in these -- even with socks. I agree, too, that they're not as cute with the lower snap snapped. But they're a very nice leather -- feel good. A little tighter around the leg than I might expect -- but fine.

I wore this boot all day while travelling, and it was comfortable the whole time. It works well with pants or boots.

Poorly dyed boot -
This boot was disappointing. One of the boots had a light stripe across the top of it and looked as though it hadn't been dyed properly. They are a bit roomy, not in length, but all around my foot. I would have to wear thicker socks to wear these. When you pull the strap to the lower snap, the boot doesn't look nearly as cute as it does in the pictures. I'm sending these back.

Cute but big - These are nicer in person and I love that you can wear them up or slouchy. Unfortunately, I always order a 6.5, but am swimming in these. Just ordered a 6 and will be sending these back. As always, Zappos makes this incredibly easy.

 |  | Can I just say, I have always hated shopping for shoes until I stumbled upon Zappos. Zappos has changed the way I shoe shop. Since discovering Zappos, it is the only place I shoe shop. No more dragging from store to store to find the right shoes and the right size. I love Zappos! I have ordered dress shoes, boots and casual shoes from Zappos. On occasions I have had to return shoes because they just were not what I wanted; either they did not feel right or they were not the look I wanted. The return policy is so easy and Zappos does not make you feel guilty for returns! P.S. My husband even shops from Zappos now. He cannot believe how great the customer service is. We love you Zappos!
