I tried on lots and lots of shoes in this style and this was my favorite. Though they take a little time to get used to, they are very comfortable, especially given how stylish they are. Great shoe. Worth every penny.

There is something about this shoe that I absolutely love. It is a basic, extremely well made, great fitting casual shoe. It has a roomy toe box and excellent arch support. Great shoe that I enthusiastically recommend. It isn\'t a dainty little thing afraid to face the world. And of course the bonus is Zappos with no tax and free shipping!

These are wonderful walking shoes and good quality. Unlike other reviewers (it just goes to show), I find they run somewhat large. In other words, a 39 = 8 1/2, not 8. Since I tend to wear inserts plus wool socks, this wasn't a problem. Heel is pretty cushy, so I walked several miles on city streets without a problem. Style-wise, they do have square toes, so if that bothers you, look elsewhere.

These shoes are absolutely exquisitely made; they look almost hand sewn. Soft, beautiful, very chic, leather inside and out. They are also very comfortable with lots of support, and the leather insole is quite padded and removes to add an orthotic.

Very cute! I wanted these to fit, but they were just a bit wide for my slightly narrow feet. I love the stitch detailing on the side of the toe area and the low heel was the perfect height for definition without being a serious heel. A little bit of tomboy oxford styling keeps the look classy and reduces the blah of a plain oxford. The other small downside: a little bit of a squeak when walking. I returned due to the width problem, so I wonder if the squeak would eventually go away or get worse.

This is a very comfortable shoe for working on your feet all day. The heel is a little lower than it looks in the picture, which I was happy about because I was afraid the heel would be uncomfortable. The style isn\'t that bad for a basic and classic shoe either.

I had to order down one size, and it's still comfortably roomy with medium-weight socks. The toebox is wonderfully roomy, and even though the heel cup seems larger than I'm used to, I can tighten up fine with the laces. The cushioned heel lip and tongue are great. They're made in Hungary, not China. The only annoyance I have with these shoes is that they squeak on some smooth floors.

Josef Seibel are worth it!
A great pair of shoes and rather fashionable being a 'comfort' shoe. I own a number of pairs of Josef Seibel. They also took my inserts well. It took a couple of wearings for them to break in to my feet but 2 weeks later they are perfect.

Feel of leather -
I have thin feet and bunions. While this shoe is wide, for bunions please know that the leather if quite stiff. I have attempted to soften it with wearing (and it has rubbed my bunions) and with vaseline and also some stretching so it has improved. In my case, wider toe boxes come with wider heels and my thin feet do not need wider heels. The shoes otherwise are comfortable and I hope that the leather will soften with time and with oiling.

I have owned 7 other pairs of Josef Seibel shoes. Every pair runs true to size. These are very comfortable and fashionable for a "comfort" shoe.

Comfortable, everyday shoe.
I work in a special ed preschool and I am on my feet all day long. These shoes were comfortable for that purpose right out of the box - no breaking-in time necessary. They actually remind me almost exactly of the standard, everyday shoes I remember most European women wearing from the age of about 40 on - practical, simple, can go with anything. My only complaint is that the shoelaces are a bit short, so they keep coming untied, but that is easily remedied by simply buying a pair of longer shoelaces. A great everyday shoe.

I wish Josef Seibel would bring back the Taylor!!!
There's nothing much wrong with these shoes if you don't mind falling down. The heel is cupped. Why? I don't know, but it is very unstable. I almost rolled my ankle just walking on an even concrete floor. If you can get past the heel (maybe if you wear a lot of high heels it isn't that unstable?). They are pretty comfortable as you'd expect from Josef Seibel.

Great Fit, Bad Look -
While this shoe has incredible arch support and is very, very well made, I just couldn't deal with the mannish look. I have a large foot--size 10--and they looked too masculine for me.

Comfort with stylish design!
This shoe is comfortable enough to wear all day with slacks or jeans. And the two tone color and stitching make it cute and stylish. There was no break-in time, as they were comfortable right out of the box. I will be ordering more Josef Seibel shoes!

Love It!!
Super comfortable. I'm on my feet all day and needed a comfortable shoe; this shoe does the trick. I wear an 8 so I ordered the 8/8.5 which is a little roomy in the heel. I wear a thick pair of socks which just adds to the comfort. I love Zappos; I will never buy another pair of shoes from anyone else again. They're team is amazing.

Really cute, but odd arch support...
I liked the shoe, was soft and roomy in the toe box area, but had an odd arch support lump moving toward the ball of the foot, which after trying on for just minute or so and standing in, realized it would bother me. Maybe this would be good for some.

Love Josef Seibel Shoes!
I just purchased these shoes and I love them! I think they are so cute and definitely comfortable. This is my fourth pair of JS shoes and I’m not sure if I will ever buy any other brand. I’ve had foot pain and problems for several years now (all those years wearing really high heels) and have wasted so much money trying to find something comfortable for work. I finally stumbled on JS shoes at a store one day and I loved the comfort!!! I am now able to walk for a couple of miles - on concrete no less - and my feet don't hurt. You see, this is a huge accomplishment for me since I’ve only been able to walk on dirt trails because just one block of concrete caused pain. A co-worker told me my new JS shoes are “manly looking”, but I don’t care (I don’t think they are at all). All I care about is comfort and not causing more damage to my feet. This is also my second order from Zappos and they are the best. If the size or look or whatever is not right, send it back and they cheerfully refund (in my case, I got a store credit because I’m always looking for Josef Seibel shoes).
