I've worn nothing but Merrells for close to 10 years and I have to say this is probably the least comfortable pair of shoes I've had in that time. They don't feel too bad when I first put them on but my feet start to hurt if I wear them for more than a few hours. Also, the laces don't seem to stay tied very well.

Great walking shoe -
Although this shoe was probably designed for the trails, the support and flexibility of the shoe is great for street and sidewalk hiking. It is my second pair to replace my old ones with the same was a given. Great shoe.

They slip - Waterproof shoes with no traction on smooth surfaces. Slipped often and called Merrell. They replaced them for me. These are heavy shoes as well. I really didn't care for them.

I would say these are some of the most comfortable hiking shoes I have owned yet. Every 7 years I replace my Merrell's with a new pair. The waterproofing has held up great on and off the trail. I don't feel the sharp rocks under my feet and the comfort of the shoe is great. It's almost as comfortable as some of my skate shoes. My only complaint is that I live in Arizona and I hike in the summer. These shoes are really not made for the heat of Arizona, they do not breathe enough even with the mesh. I imagine it's a sacrifice I must make if I want a good waterproof shoe though. However these shoes were great for hiking a summer trail in Colorado and my feet did not feel like they were on fire like they do hiking in AZ. Overall I would suggest these shoes to anyone that does not hike desert climates in the summer time.

Great shoe!
Another fine Merrell shoe. Comfortable and stylish enough for every day wear, yet remains firm and supportive enough for easy to moderate trails. These shoes run true to size. They have a roomy toe box, and the Gore-Tex works well, keeping my feet dry in Northeast's snow and rain.

 |  | A while back, I saw a feature story about your company on a TV news magazine show. I had never heard of your organization, but the story was awesome! A company of SHOES that people loved to deal with and work for. Very inspiring and very cool. In my fashion and glamour circle (I write, review, and blog about skin care and cosmetics), I began inquiring if anyone had dealt with you in the past. My one associate raved about your products and services and said it was THE only place she could find this one pair of shoes she loved. When I told her about the news show I saw and your "core values" she too was inspired. Fast forward to this weekend, when a sudden online shopping craving overtook me. Bought my monthly fix of lip gloss...check. Took advantage of the latest fall jeans and sweater deals...check. Stocked up on seasonal scents of scrubs and lotions...check. So what was left? Yup. Shoes. Even though I try to run with the times, I'll admit I generally hate shoe shopping. Nothing ever seems to be completely comfortable, the heels all seem too tall (I'm already 5'10"!), and the selections in the stores around me are either too blah or too "You wouldn't catch me dead in them." I have very few shoes in my closet, and almost all are black. But with fall quickly approaching, I needed something new and "in."
After looking at big department store web sites, I decided to take the style I was looking for (the hottest new shoe-boot casuals) and search your web site. I loved being able to sort by color, heel height, style and size. I could compare features and prices with only a couple of clicks. I was able to not just find the exact shoe I was looking for, but was also able to find it in a brand that I had bought in the past (and loved)! Shipping was uber fast, and they arrived today! Although they fit perfect (yeay!) I really wasn't worried if they didn't because your return policy is unsurpassed and not to be stressed by anyone! So, I'll say thank you again for an awesome service, an awesome site, and an awesome shopping experience. My husband, who now realizes the girl who wasn't excited about shopping for shoes before now is (and whose credit card realizes this as well) isn't as happy. But I've explained in terms he can understand...his cigars are my Kate Spades. Thanks again, and I look forward to purchasing from you again, very, VERY soon! Regards, Tammy H.
