love the design of Nina's Effie (the hidden platform and pin-tuck detailing make it a truly sexy heel), but the fit is horrible. The length felt true to size, but the toe is extremely tight. I was able to take them to a shoe repair shop to have them stretched, but if you do the same, make sure you have them keep them on the stretcher for several days. Also, if you aren't used to the super high 4" heel, you might want to practice a bit to avoid ankle strain!

This shoe runs a little small so I had to go up almost a full size. The fabric is unlike leather (which will give and from around your foot), but is beautiful and the shoe is very pretty on your feet. We will always shop Zappos. It really does not get easier than this.

These shoes are incredibly flattering. The shape and the platform make your legs look amazing. I bought them in silver to go with a navy dress, and they made my legs look so much longer. I agree with other reviewers that they can get uncomfortable, especially in the toe area, if you are standing for a long period of time. But for platform shoes that are over 4 inches tall, they are not so bad.

These shoes are gorgeous. I bought them for a wedding, so I haven\'t worn them yet. They are much higher than I normally wear, but they seem to be pretty comfortable.

Ow! This is the most painful pump I have ever put on my foot, and I'm not a stickler for comfort. I have a pair of extremely high, extremely strappy gold Charles David's that have no padding, and I'll go dancing in those guys and just suffer. So if I call a shoe painful, I mean it. The Effie is really gorgeous shoe, but the sizing is just strange. Very narrow through the toes. Normally I'm an 8 or 8.5, so I ordered an 8.5. Felt insanely too small. I considered ordering a 9, but another reviewer is right, it looks a bit wide through the middle of the shoe, and I'm worried it would look to broad. So, sigh, these have to go back. One thing I noticed: I tried on my other size 8.5 pumps for comparison (yup - they still fit) and some said "size 39.5 Euro", but the Nina Effie said "size 38.5 Euro" so perhaps they have different sizing?

Not worth the pain - I think these Nina Effies are great looking and bought them for my wedding. However, they are among the most uncomfortable shoes I have ever put on my feet. There's no way I would wear them for a whole evening! Also: they are wide through the middle part of the foot, then pinch at the ball and toes (and I have very regular feet).

this is a beautiful shoe. however, it\'s not very comfortable, despite the hidden platform in the front. i\'d say for the height the shoe gives you it is tolerable, but you probably couldn\'t do any significant amount of walking in it without significant pain.

These shoes are beautiful! They are very sexy, but not trashy...I am planning on wearing them to several weddings this summer/fall. I ordered the black and silver (to see which I liked better) and ended up keeping them both because the shoe is so versatile. I am a 7 1/2 in almost everything, but these were a touch snug, so I just ordered the 8 to try on. Really a classic shoe. It's very chic but not too trendy.
