Another beautiful flat from Born! The leather is gorgeous and soft, and the style is incredibly cute (I was apprehensive about the flower, but it's very understated and complements the shoe nicely). The elastic back is very comfortable, surprisingly so! And the fit was great; I wear a 9 in Borns and they fit perfectly. I ended up returning these only because the Purple Leather is more on the pink side, and doesn't really match a thing I wear. I so wish Zappos had these in black in my size. I will keep looking!

I don't recommend these shoes. I read the other reviews that the elastic can cut into heels, so I bought up a half size. Now, the elastic backs constantly slip off my feet. When I wear them, I literally stop every 5 feet or so to adjust the shoes back onto my feet. The leather is nice, and they are cute, but I never want to wear them. Just wish I hadn't paid this much for these.

These shoes are adorable, unfortunately, they are incredibly uncomfortable. I can\'t wear them for long periods of time because the elastic in the back pushes my foot forward and my toes get squished.

These shoes are adorable and really comfortable. I read the existing reviews before purchasing and was really happy I went a half size bigger. The elastic heel would definitely squeeze and rub otherwise.

I got these shoes because the Born brand was on the recommended list my podiatrist gave me, my wide feet and custom orthotics ended up fitting in easily, and because I wanted something more feminine than my Merrells to wear with skirts and capris. I wore these shoes at night in Vegas along the strip and my feet held up fine. My sister liked them so much she got a pair as well. I only wish they came in a chocolate brown too.

MY SEARCH IS OVER! I love these shoes soo much. I'm going to buy them in another color...just can't decide which one! They are very comfortable (love the rubber sole and arch support) and I have gotten compliments almost every time I've worn them. Thanks for the super fast shipping from Zappos too!!

Hello! Great looking flat, I also purchased it for walking and have the same problem everyone else does, the famous back!!! It cinches into my heel and causes a lot of redness, I put them on a shoe tree for now and hope that using them little by little everyday and putting them to rest the rest of the time in the shoe tree will help, wish me luck!

Shoes are super cute! Heel has elastic which can be slightly bothersome. Toe is slightly more narrow than a B width. Overall, I love them!

I love the color and style but the usual Born comfort fell short for me. The sinched heel gouges into my ankle leaving a deep dent in my skin, and it pushed my foot forward so my toes feel cramped. Not at all good for lots of walking.

I was a bit skeptical of these shoes due to my past experiences w/ shoes with elasticized heels. The first day I wore these shoes, the elastic pushed my feet forward a bit and the shoes were slightly uncomfortable. Now that I've worn them a few times, the elastic has stretched and the shoes are really comfortable. Great sole support. Would buy these shoes again.

I bought these shoes in black and they are adorable. I agree w/ everyone else that they rub on the heel; I am hoping it gets better as I wear them more. However, I usually wear a 7.5 (38) or an 8 (39). I got the 8's since the 7.5's felt really tight. After the first few hours of wearing them, they stretched... so stay true to size when ordering.

Adorable but painful -
These flats are very cute; nice shape on the foot. These are perfect in the toe box, even on the foot with a bunion. The inside fabric is soft & comfortable (and pretty), the leather is just soft & flexible enough. The only catch: the elastic for the heel is so strong it causes the shoe to dig into the back of my ankle. I'm so disappointed. This shoe is just my style, and with a narrow heel, I'm always eager to find shoes that have help staying on. But, while the inside of the shoe is soft enough to keep from causing blisters, the leather is thick enough and the elastic strong enough to leave a serious red (painful) dent in the back of my ankle after just a few minutes. I had also ordered a half size up but that only allowed my foot to slide father forward and result was the heel of the shoe was pressed forward much like it is before I put it on. Just didn't look right. If Born made this exact shoe with a little less pull in the heel, I'd buy it in a heartbeat.

This shoe is comfortable, yet by the end of the day my big toes feel squished. However that could just be my toes. Great shoe for standing all day at work which is what I do.

I was super excited about these shoes, but have to admit I am pretty disappointed. They are very cute and comfortable everywhere else except the cinched heel. I don’t know if it’s just me, like I have super sensitive heel skin or what, but these gave me the worst blister I’ve ever had on my heel.

Very cute shoe, nice padded inside sole, but OUCH... the back heel! The elastic causes the heel to rub in an extremely uncomfortable way. I'm a college student and restaurant server, and I splurged on these because I needed something comfortable (but stylish) and professional for my job. They felt comfortable at home, but after the first night on the job, I had blisters on my heels. I took them to a shoemaker to be stretched, but no luck. I still can't wear them. If you buy these shoes, try them out at home for A WHILE before wearing them out... otherwise it could be an expensive mistake.

Extremely uncomfortable!
I have been wearing these flats for the past four hours and my feet are killing me! This was my first Born purchase, I bought them in the purple and I had great expectations for a comfortable pair of shoes. I am extremely disappointed. The length and the width are true to size (9 1/2 M in my case), but the height of the shoe leaves a lot to be desired. It seemed that my toes were trapped in a tight cage. I felt a lot of pressure on the top of my big toes and now I have a red line on the top of my foot where the shoe started (and I wore them with nylons!). I would not recommend these shoes to anybody, no matter how cute they are (and they actually are very good looking) and how good the quality of the leather. Being uncomfortable defeats the purpose of being a flat shoe, so the overall rating cannot be higher than a one star. I am so sorry!

Order half size larger!
These shoes are adorable, and I wish they had them in black! I have the green, and I'm thinking of getting the yellow. Anyway, I don't know if it's because of the elastic, but I wish I'd ordered a half size up. The back of the heel starts to hurt after walking a while. Otherwise, the insole is very cushy, and there's decent arch support, and did I mention they're adorable?

Adorable, versatile, and comfortable!
I absolutely love these shoes. I have a collection of flats and these are my favorite by far. I wear them every chance I get. As with all the Born shoes I’ve had in the past, there was no break-in time at all, just solid comfort from the first step I took in them. These shoes are adorable and perfect with jeans, skirts, dresses, whatever. I cannot recommend them enough. I work in a store with crystallized, super-slick, super-hard flooring that KILLS the knees and lower back, and these shoes keep my feet from hurting, shift after shift. LOVE them! Love Zappos!

 |  | Want you to know these shoes I ordered will work out just fine for me. I had to return two other pairs of shoes I thought would fit. I've gone through four surgeries on my left foot for cancer which has changed my foot size and kept me in a wheelchair for several months. Thanks to your return policy I was able to find a walking shoe that now works and I'm able to get around. You made it possible for me to get on my feet again. With time I'll purchase other shoes when my feet reach a stable size. Since my foot size is far wider than average I also appreciate you increasing your inventory of wide shoes for selection. With time, you'll gain more customers for these shoes and find they'll be loyal to Zappos!
