Zappos helped us "stride right"-
My toddler loves his new shoes! They seem to be comfortable for him and they look great, even after a few weeks of wear and chewing. My favorite thing about ordering them was how easy they were to shop for...especially after the lack of care I got at the original store I got my son sized at. Zappos search is great...I just loaded his size in and could see all of the styles available. It was easy and stress free. With four kids, the easier the better, plus I didn't have to drive and the shipping was free and quick! Thank you!

My Little Man Loves this Shoe -
I bought this pair of shoes for my son who has just learned to walk. He loved them from the moment he put them on. The only problem was that they scuffed very quickly and easily.

This is a very narrow shoe. I do not recommend it to anyone due to the bad fit for kids!

Great shoes!
My son absolutely loves them and wears them everywhere. They wear very well and are apparently quite comfortable, because he wants to wear them both day and night.

Great dress up sandals that are comfortable -
Great dressy sandal that has very comfortable leather. However, my son's toes don't go all the way to the front because of his high instep.
Otherwise great for church and special outings. Width is wonderful since my son has a wide foot. Leather is extremely soft.

Good, but not the best -
My 26 month old has been wearing Stride Rite. When we saw these sandals, we thought they would be a good replacement for the Baby Guppy (they no longer come in his size, a 9). We were wrong. Firstly, the insole is NOT leather. After a day of running and playing, his feet smell. Secondly, the padding around the velcro is thin, giving him blisters. The sole is not as flexible as we had hoped.

A nice and stylish leather sandal for a toddler -
I like Stride Rite for my son, as they wear like iron and because their leather interiors are well designed to keep the kids' feet from getting sweaty. The First Mate was the only brown one I could get at the time my son needed them (his growth spurts don't coincide with sales or seasons). I would have preferred their Guppy, as it has one more crosswise strap and the straps are all less wide because of that, but First Mate does well enough. My son wears them cheerfully (is not old enough to tell me "Gee, Mommy, these feel nice," but I take his wearing them comfortably as a sign) and they get compliments. As with most leather sandals for children, these can be worn casually or for a dressy summer occasion. With Stride Rite, if your child has wide feet, get the wide size. They are not narrower than sized, but they aren't any wider than sized either.

Beautiful and sturdy -
I bought the wide version (thank you Stride Rite!), because my 19 month old has a high arch and pudgy feet. I love the leather, which looks rich and has that gloss that says "expensive leather shoes". The soles are rugged. I can't comment on durability, but I'm expecting to pass these on to friends in great condition after he outgrows them!

My son hates to wear shoes and he doesn’t try to take these off. It seems as if he enjoys wearing them. Very good shoes, holds up very well to a toddler. And I enjoyed working with Zappos.

These shoes are super comfortable and cute too! They are so comfy that my 19 month old can wear them all day without socks and they do not leave marks or rub his feet. They wear very well and the leather gets softer over time which is nice. We have gotten a lot of compliments on them!

Unbelievable shoes!
I ordered these shoes for my 1 year old boy. These sandals are classic, comfortable, and handsome. I have gotten more compliments on these pair of sandals than any other shoes in the past. You can dress them up or dress them down. Not only am I pleased with the shoes, I am so impressed with Zappos speedy delivery. Zappos goes over and above any expectations that you have and provide exquisite service. I will certainly continue to start my shopping here before anywhere else!

Great leather shoes -
We really love these shoes as they are super comfy and cute. We only wanted to go with leather as it's the healthiest for babies and the wide option was perfect as our 1-year old has very pudgy feet. Great buy!

A great little shoe -
My child has a wide foot, and has worn mostly stride rite shoes since he was born. As I was shopping for his sandals at the beginning of spring, I noticed that many sandals in his size did not have the "comfort quality" that I have always looked for in his shoes. By this I mean soft leather, padded heal straps, cushioned soles, etc. But this sandal had every detail that I was looking for, and we love it!!

These are worth the price - and they are relatively cheap! I was astounded to see how expensive some of infant shoes are. But I realized in my late 20s I needed to spend some money to keep my feet comfortable and after a disappointing purchase of infant shoes at a retail store, I realized that I need to do the same for my son! I will continue to purchase Stride Rite shoes.

Really cute shoes!
My 17 month old son loves these shoes! Whenever he's not wearing them he tries to put them on. They are sturdy and supportive for sandals. I also bought a pair of Stride Rite sneakers for him- also terrific! Are they worth the extra $$$? Absolutely.

Very nice shoes.
These are really nice shoes, my boy wears them with socks and he didn't have any problem breaking them in. I got the dark blue color and he loves them, the sole is flexible enough and they are well made.

Great sandals for a rough boy -
These look great on my toddler and they seem to hold up pretty well. They clean up very easily, too, just wipe down with a damp cloth. They look great with dressed up clothes and play clothes. He seems to enjoy them... he hasn't taken them off yet! He also has the same pair in brown.
