Very stylish, comfortable shoe - perfect for commuting. Felt true to size and width.
The ONE thing that bothers me is that the velcro strap comes undone from time to time, seemingly without cause.
Great support for people with very low arches.

Puma shoes are very comfortable, however, the NuMostro is very tight on the place where you adjust the velcro strap making it a little uncomfortable.

Even Better Than The First Generation Mostro -
Having had three pairs of the original Mostro, there are better by far. I bought the all-black leather NuMostro from Zappos and got the size right immediately. They fit like a slipper and are sooo... comfortable.
The soles have more grip than the original Mostro’s, which is essential on wet, slippery concrete. I slipped a few times with the old Mostro’s - not with these. The new mesh venting does a grand job of keeping the foot cooler than the old design. This is important because if you wear them day in, day out like I do, they would start to smell inside after four to six months.
Now, I don't have that problem, and they are noticeable cooler in the summer months.
Do I have any criticisms of the NuMostro? Yes. First of all DO NOT buy them in white unless they will have indoor, dry use. They get too dirty and after a while look scruffy.
The insoles tend to smell after a year and keep smelling, even if they're washed repeatedly in a washing machine and aired. I've not found anything in shoe stores that fits as well as the original insoles.
I also like the Mostro range because they keep your feet close to the ground, offering excellent perception. This is important because shoes with heels, including sneakers, change our weight distribution and contribute to hip, neck, and spinal alignment problems.
The NuMostro feel like heaven to wear compared with all the other block-a-boot training shoes / sneakers. Go ahead - treat yourself!

Problematic styling.
The unusual styling puts a vertical seam right at the edge of the big toe, which made walking painful for me.

Love the look, hate the ankle opening -
I’ve been lusting over these shoes for months, just waiting until I found them at a good price. Love the look, love the style, love my colors (dark grey and baby blue), HATE the ankle opening! Initially I tried them on and they felt great - I did go a 1/2 size up from normal, like most people did - but after wearing them a few times, I’ve realized that the top of the shoe comes up way too far. Normally where the soft tongue is on a sneaker, this is harder leather that's very difficult to break in - I’ve ended up with sore spots and bruises on the tops of my feet! (And I don't have cankles, I swear) I still wear them on weekends in an effort to break them in, but I’m really disappointed in these so far - what a bummer.

Take this review to heart!
After the reviews, I bought a half size larger than usual. Received the shoe, it was a bit tight. For safe measure, bought the next half size up. Now a whole size larger than usual. The full size larger is the winner. I reread the reviews and started laughing. Those who said it was a half size smaller also mentioned having intense blisters and even leaving the velcro undone. Obviously, the shoe didn't fit them properly. Yes, Pumas are supposed to be form fitting but not that much! Also, Puma buyers said it was a half size smaller because this Nu shoe is a half size smaller than the old ones. The verdict is in...It’s a whole size smaller!! Such a cute shoe! Perfect for almost anything! Thanks Zappos for free shipping!

This shoe is great once you wear it in. The first few times I wore it I got some pretty intense blisters on my heels, but after it was worn in it was great. Very supportive, good for city walking and hiking, and pretty cute.

Totally awesome shoe!
I have been wearing other brands of shoes (including Puma in the past) and this is the perfect shoe for the gym. I had Achilles problems and most other shoes have bothered me, these do not due to being low profile. Now I have used low-profile tennis shoes before but they gave me little to no support, THESE DO!!!! I have been wearing mine quite a bit and have not experienced any blistering etc... I do recommend as others have been getting them a size bigger. I will be buying these again as well as other Puma shoes!

I love the velcro feature but the shoe is a little tight on my foot if I close the shoe all the way. Sometimes during an exercise class I have to open the velcro.

I absolutely hate tennis shoes or any shoes that have closed backs because I always get blisters, but Puma never fails to satisfy me. I have the worst flat feet and the arch is incredible. I feel like I'm walking barefoot in these because they are so incredibly light weight. They are so sporty and I get compliments on them EVERYWHERE I go, and especially at the gym. They are worth every penny. I've had mine for about 3 years now and they are still in mint condition. Fabulous!

When I had first seen these sneakers in the store about 3 years ago, I was hesitant because of the price, but have always liked Pumas as a child. Well, if you are a sneaker wearer, these are worth the money. Besides, they look dressy enough to wear around the office if you are able, aside from being extremely comfortable. You have to try them on to believe it. These are great.

I bought these to replace an old pair of Pumas that were so comfortable. The fit is perfect and wraps around your foot. Definitely a half-size smaller than marked. You can wear these anywhere, just casually every day or to clubs that require dress shoes.

I recently picked up a pair of these bad boys and I couldn't be happier. They are my second pair of Pumas, and I am never switching brands again. These shoes are SO comfortable, and great with people with high arches.

Nice looking shoe with soft, foot-friendly leather. The design makes for great ventilation. Not a great deal of arch support, therefore I doubt these shoes will spend a lot of time in the gym. I ordered a half size up and they fit perfectly. I'll probably buy another pair...

Extremely comfortable and stylish -
I purchased this shoe for my 1 year old grand daughter and was worried if they were stylish enough for her. She loves them and she gets compliments from her friends. By her feet being so large at her age it is hard to find trendy shoes for her. I was disappointed with this shoe. I've worn the Monstro’s for years and this new design is not as comfortable or as aesthetically appealing as the old design. The fit was also different. I had to order 1/2 size up from the size I'd ordered before the change in design. I may need to find a new staple for my shoe wardrobe.

I was very hesitant in purchasing this shoe. It looked great, but I thought it would suck in terms of comfort and support. I normally wear a stability shoe as I have slightly flat feet and am a big guy. But this shoe is GREAT! Indeed, it runs a size small for gym shoes. I normally wear a 13 in any running shoe, but I needed a 14 for this shoe. But the support it gives is surprisingly good. Plus, it is very cool looking and plenty wide and roomy. I give this shoe two thumbs up!

Disappointed -
I have about 4 pair of 2005 Puma Mostro and loved them. This NuMostro is very uncomfortable in the interior. There is no padding to protect the outside of the foot from the stitching. I would not like to use these for long walks.

Sneaker wardrobe must!
I love these sneakers. They are really comfortable for workouts or just hanging out. I wouldn't wear all of my sneakers for both purposes. If these ever wore out I would definitely replace them. That probably will not happen since I have many sneakers.
