Runs big...
I had an older version of this shoe a few years ago, so I knew that it ran big. Since I had not tried on this version yet I ordered an 8.5 and a 9. My old pair was an 8.5 and this shoe fit the same. Here's the problem...I'm not an 8.5, or at least I haven't been since I was about 13. I'm consistently a 9.5 and sometimes a half size larger or smaller. I don't know if these shoes seem narrower than marked, but I have very narrow feet and these fit quite well.
Aside from sizing issues this is a very nice shoe, but look carefully at the photos. Almost the whole shoe upper is mesh covered with a flexible plastic ribbing to hold the shoe’s shape. You can kind of see light through the uppers, so these shoes will obviously breathe very well and are extremely lightweight. If you are very hard on shoes, or are for whatever reason planning to wear these somewhere besides the volleyball court or gym I would consider buying a different shoe. They don’t seem like they would be very durable for outdoor use and I’m not sure why anyone would spend this much on a pair of volleyball shoes and not use them for what they are intended for.
Sorry for the long review, but I have to mention that Zappos is the best online merchant hands down. If you have never ordered from Zappos you are missing out. You will not be disappointed…I promise. Well, it may be disappointing if your shoes don’t fit, but Zappos has the very best return policy out there, so you have nothing to worry about.
