I am the person who said one of two pairs hurt a little at first. I just had to add that within a day or two after that, both pairs felt perfect. I alternated wearing the two pairs for four 12 hour days a week. I occasionally worked 7 days in a week, and they always felt great. The project lasted three months. I will definitely wear them again if I need steel toed shoes for anything.

These shoes are fantastic. I tried on many different styles of steel toe shoes and ended up buying 2 pairs of these. Since I was used to wearing Dansko Professional clogs all the time I also purchased Superfeet Premium Green insoles for additional support. The combination has been very comfortable. One of the 2 pairs of these shoes has been absolutely perfect from day one. (I have worn them for four 12-hour days now) The other pair started to hurt a little in the area of the 4th toe on the right, possibly as if the steel toe was a little small in that foot. I should have tried on more different pairs in the same size of these shoes and worn them for longer at home on carpet before wearing them to work. If I had done that I expect I would have found 2 perfect pairs, but unfortunately I already wore the 2nd pair to work so I can't return them. But at least I have one pair that is perfect and one that is not bad. In general I would completely recommend these shoes, just try them on really carefully, like any other shoes.
Other brands recommended by reviewer: I don\'t know any other good steel toe shoes, and I tried many others.

Great work shoe -
I was warned some steel toe shoes are heavy and uncomfortable. Not these! The PRO Mudsill is lightweight and has support where it is needed. My feet never are sore after working all day and no blisters. The shoe is true to size. I love them.

I am happy with my new steel toe shoes. I haven't had the best of luck ordering shoes online until I checked out Zappos. I am on my feet a good part of an 8 hour night and it did not take any time to break them in. I did have to add an extra insole because it felt like I was walking on the floor (very hard), but they are fine since the added padding. The wide width is not as wide as I thought and I am glad I got wide because they would be too tight. Overall I am pleased and everyone wants to know where I got them and I tell them Zappos. I was pleasantly surprised at the free overnight shipping. A big plus in my book. Will definitely buy my husbands and my next pair from them. I also have never had an online store offer a Bill Me Later plan. Very pleased about that option.

Boy do my feet hurt!
They look nice, but that's where it ends. They are not breathable at all and they are very hot, so I end up with swamp feet at the end of the day. The padding is insufficient particularly at the ball of the foot under the big toe. Adding extra padding only made the toe box too tight, which was marginal to begin with for a wide width. At the end of the day my feet are killing me.

Indestructible -
I work in food prep and needed slip resistant shoes. I am happy with these - my feet are completely protected and even on oily or soapy wet surfaces, I feel sure-footed. The tongue and other parts around the ankle have bruised me a little, but I think that is part of breaking them in. I compared them a very similar pair by Nautilus and much preferred these.

Comfy.
These are the most comfortable safety-toe shoes I have ever worn. It is like walking on pillows, especially noticeable descending a staircase carrying a load. I am very pleased with them, and am gleefully recommending them to any co-workers who will listen.

8 months later...
Purchased these about 8 months ago and gave them a positive review, very lightweight with good arch support. Not quite 8 months later I find the arch support is giving out and my feet are aching (under working conditions of being on the feet 40+ hours a week). I may try a different style this time around, but these performed well and I'm sure I'll buy them again in the future.

Finally found an excellent steel toe work shoe!!
Amazing!! I work 12 hour shifts in a refinery laboratory - walk (a LOT) on concrete all night long. My last 2 pairs of work shoes were Skechers & both were the MOST uncomfortable shoes ever (I could barely walk after my shifts were over - I was in so much pain!). The Mudsill Low is so comfortable! I've worn them 2x now, and not a hint of foot pain! My feet are naturally tired after a long shift, but these shoes were fantastic! It practically feels like I'm wearing my running shoes! I love them & would recommend them to anyone! I will definitely buy them again!

Excellent shoe!
These shoes feel so comfortable I can't even tell they are steel toe. Good traction on slippery floors and I did not have to break them in. On the first day I wore them, a heavy object dropped on my toes. I didn't feel a thing. I would definitely buy these again. I do wish they were available in black though as my boss prefers us to wear black.

Timberland Pro Mudsill Low -
This is one of the best steel toe shoes I have owned. They are very comfortable and light and the soles are great in my work area which has sticky floors. It has been over 1 year since I ordered my first pair. I am getting ready to order my second because they are not comfortable anymore. Usually I replace my shoes every 6-8 months.

Timberland Pro Mudsill -
Wow that was the best shopping experience ever and the shoes are fantastic. Zappos is very fast..I ordered my shoes at 2:30pm Eastern time and I got them by 10am the next day and they are perfect. The size is exact and they are very comfortable and they look just like regular shoes so I can where them anytime not just for work..and they are very light not as heavy as I thought for having steel toes. Thank You Zappos!

Great Shoe!
I walk on concrete floors and diamond plate platforms for 12 hours a day. It is hard to find women's steel-toed shoes that are both comfortable and stylish; however, I found both attributes in this shoe. I was able to wear it for my entire 12 hour shift versus the usual "breaking in" of new shoes over short periods of wear. This shoe is also offered in wide width, which is a definite plus. It would be great if this shoe was offered in more of a variety of color choices, such as a black/grey or dk. brown/lt. brown combination. Overall, for the price, the comfort factor, the durability, and the look, it is a great shoe and I will buy another pair when needed.

Comfy!
For a steel toe, I was surprised at how comfortable these were. The first day I went for a walk in them and felt no pain. I work in a power plant and I am excited that I found a shoe that is cute and safe.

I'm a machine operator, on my feet up to 56 hours a week. I know from experience that if you don't have a quality shoe your legs and feet will suffer. This particular work shoe seems to be doing a decent job so far and are light weight. I paid just over $100 for my last pair of Timberlands and they were the most comfortable shoe (of any shoe) I've ever worn. I'm satisfied with these but will get the more expensive ones next time. Timberland rocks!

Wonderful for harsh terrain - Currently work in a very harsh environment. Timberland has proven itself to be worth every penny. The steel toe does not effect my foot at all or the weight of the shoe. The treaded sole improves my mobility through the sand and rocks as if I'm walking on a smoothe surface. Great for hiking and everyday fashion!

Work shoes -
For a steel toed shoe, they fit better then I thought they would. Had them for two weeks walking on oily floors and had not slipped yet. So far so good.

 | | Good Evening. I just have to say WOW! When someone deserves a compliment for going above and beyond, I am happy to say so. I have never written to a company with such praise. But your company is the exception. With the economy, you just expect to pay more and get less. This motto is definitely not how your company operates. I not only received my shipment basically the next day, FREE, it was exactly what was described online. Thank you again and keep up the good work. From, One Happy Customer:-)
P.S. I also love your saying on the box "packaged with happiness" that is great!!! It made me smile.
