i bought these shoes for my 78 yr old mother and she loves them. she is very active and they give her excellent arch support. would recommend these shoes 100%.

I do a lot of boot camp workouts and plyometrics. The balls of my feet were constantly sore with my old sneakers, but the New Balance WX840 is great. My feet hold up day after day. I\'m sold on this shoe.

I bought these shoes about 3 weeks ago because my beloved Rykas had been demolished by my cardio overloaded exercise regimen. After doing zumba 4 times a week and using them to run on the treadmill from April-late September, they had their fill. I wanted to buy another pair of Rykas (if it isn't broken, why fix it? right?), but felt I needed to broaden my horizons. I also could not find another pair of Rykas that struck my fancy. I chose these shoes because a previous reviewer mentioned that she uses them for zumba class. I recently started the Insanity workout series as well. I like the look of these shoes, they are actually tastefully designed for NB sneaks. I'm still hung on whether I love these shoes. These shoes do not seem to have as much all around cushioning as the Ryka cross trainers do. I am really noticing this difference in the Insanity workouts since there is so much Plyo involved. I am exercising on a carpeted surface that has padding underneath. My Rykas also felt lighter (even with arch support inserts) even though these shoes are the exact same weight. The sole on these seem to be more stiff compared to the Rykas. In zumba these differences aren't standing out as much because my feet aren't leaving the ground as often as they do during Insanity. These shoes do seem to have adequate ankle support. I haven't had any problems with my ankles twisting or feeling loose. The Rykas were also fabric & these have a stiffer outsole. Just so you have a frame of reference of my "sole" intelligence, I am a serious exerciser. I exercise 7-8 times a week. My workout regimen consists of Insanity, Zumba, kickboxing, step classes, treadmill running/elliptical, and strength training. I attend classes and exercise at home using videos and workouts from fitness based magazines. I take the choosing of exercise shoes very serious. This was like the 10th pair of shoes that I ordered from Zappos in a few weeks time. By the way, much love to Zappos for their fantastic upgrade to overnight shipping on all of my orders. I am loving it and so appreciative since I live in the middle of nowhere. If you are a serious cardio queen like myself, I would not necessarily recommend these shoes especially if you will be doing jumping.

These are a great pair of sneakers for aerobics. They fit very true to size and look great. Please do not buy too small. I wear a lot of Nike and tend to buy a half size (sometimes even a whole size) smaller because of their generous cut. But with these New Balance stick to your normal size, otherwise you'll find the back of the shoe may rub against your skin annoyingly. Again, these are great for aerobics, walking or cross-training, but for an outdoor running shoe, I prefer something with a softer, more flexible mesh base and more arch support. These are a little on the flat-footed side. But they're a very stylish and feminine looking pair.

One of the best athletic shoes ever. As a serious athlete, I can not recommend more. The heel positioning gives a great forward movement. My trainer bought a pair after trying on mine and we both agree - excellent all around.\r\n\r\nThe mimimal profile helps those of us trying to develop better balance. Not a pillow feel to the shoe and glad for it.

I was looking for a shoe to wear to my Zumba classes. My regular walking/fitness sneakers just had too much grab for those quick dance moves. These NB shoes really did the trick. And as always, a comfortable fit for my wide foot. Love 'em!

I purchased these shoes in the silver color and I love them. I use them at the gym both to work out in and to teach fitness classes in. They're not too heavy, and they're very supportive. I love the overall look and they seem to go with all my fitness apparel.

Great shoe -
Very comfortable and lightweight. I bought these for a dance class at the gym (since they have the pivot bottom), but find that I wear them for cross training, too. I have the white/silver/turquoise... and have gotten a ton of compliments on how they look.

I have had a problem with rolling one foot as I walk long distances- this shoe prevents me from doing that and helps keep my leg and foot in alignment, which in turns helps my back. I am very pleased with the function of the shoe.

Great Shoe - I have size 13 -
I love NB and this shoe is great. I need a size 13 so it’s nice to find a womens shoe that fits. Usually I wear a 12 so NB does run small.

I ordered this shoe because of a positive review in a magazine. Too uncomfortable, too stiff. It looks good, but that isn't what I'm looking for.

Is great. Its physical appearance is pretty decent, and its width factor has been great for my daughter. The back of the shoe is somewhat uncomfortable, however.
