They come right under the ankle and cut into it. The patent leather cuts into my skin. I have narrow feet and they are REALLY tight. The back strap coming down pokes outward and doesn't fit right.

 |  | Fantastic! I own two pair of Dan Post boots and find them extremely comfortable. However, I was introduced to Old Gringo by an excellent salesman at a store in my area. They had my size but it ran a little larger when I tried it on. The salesman asked me to try on a smaller size in a different color to check for fit. They fit perfectly. The problem came when he told me that they would not be able to get the boot in the color and size until the end of August. I was crestfallen. Divine intervention came in the form of Zappos. I happened to go online, type in the boot name and there it was. It also helped that they featured the boot up close and personal so that I was assured that it was same as the one that I had tried on in the store. Another great thing is that it was cheaper through Zappos. I called, they took the order, then bada-boom, bada-bing, the next morning I had the boot. We did have one minor problem in the ordering process, but Zappos took care of it. I would say that they have exemplary customer service from start to finish. And thanks to them, I was styling and profiling in my boots right away. (Note to self: stop wearing boots long enough to get heel and toe taps before I wear these suckers out).
