I give the shoe an overall rating of five stars. I was immediately very pleased by the shoe\'s appearance. Upon wearing it first i did notice it was agreeable, however my only complaint of it in that category is that after walking for a long time in these shoes i would sometimes get a shooting hot pain in the arch of my foot. I suspect this is a personal problem and not a fault in the product though. I haven\'t a very attentive or savvy fashion eye, but i have gotten compliments from girls and have become recognizable to some degree by my white adidas alone. The last few pairs of shoes i\'ve worn regularly have been of this general variety. They are very durable and long lasting, though i would avoid getting them wet if at all possible.

PRE BACK SURGERY RELIEF -
This shoe was the greatest thing since sliced bread for my aching back awaiting back surgery! I have 2 slipped discs L4 and L5 of my lower back that are pinching my sciatic nerve. Which for those that don't know is the worst type of nerve pain the human body can receive. I am a rather big guy 6'2" and 220 lbs. more of it muscle than fat for what little bit it may or may not matter I might add. Point being that this shoe can support a big mans weight VERY COMFORTABLY and greatly reduced the pain my back was experiencing while awaiting surgery. If you’re looking for a good looking and overall great shoe I would recommend the Adidas Samba to ANYONE!!!

I own a closet full of great sneakers but I always grab this adidas classic. Extremely comfortable and durable they look as good broken in as they do brand new. Great versatile shoe.

Nice shoe for the price -
I usually take a size 10D or Medium, but I found the shoe to be one-half size too small so I re-ordered a 10 and 1/2 and it fit fine.

A true classic never dies -
I have loves the Samba Classics for years... this is my second pair and these are a splendid indoor shoe. I actually use them for playing drum set because they give you the feeling of being directly connected to the pedals... one issue, I don't remember them being quite this snug fitting when I was in college. Maybe it is that my foot has just gotten fatter... if you are interested in a close fitting indoor soccer shoe, these are the favorite. Love Sambas always!

I love these shoes not only are do they look good but they fit well and you won’t have to walk like daffy duck to keep them looking good. I’ve Had mine for 4 months and still look good. If you want shoes with great quality but not the price then Adidas Samba is the shoe for you!

Adidas forever!
Sambas are ONE of my top choices for buying Adidas. They are comfortable right out of the box, but once they are broken in, they mold perfect to your feet. I tie my laces a little loose so I can slip these on in seconds. I bought the white. Next will be black. They also do seem to run half a size larger. Originally an 11, so I bought a 10.5 and they are almost right. Zappos is my hero. Got here in 1 day as usual...can't beat that anywhere.

I actually had to order these shoes twice because they felt a half size too big. I only wear them for indoor soccer and love the comfort and control they allow on the gym floor.

I have worn the Samba from age 15. I am now 35. that a 20-year love affair with these beauties. Quality and timeless. I constantly have three pairs on rotation. Some old beat up ones for round the house, partially worn for the everyday stuff and a dress pair. My wife scoffs. She doesn't understand, poor woman.

Great look and comfort, but did have to send the first pair back for size reasons. Usually wear a 9.5, but have to go 9 with these, since they seem to run big.

This was the first time I ever bought sneakers other than Converse, and I must say I enjoy these shoes. I just don't give it 5 stars because adjusting to it can be uncomfortable. I was used to no arch support, so the arch support in the Samba's actually made my feet hurt for about a week, but once I got used to it, I found it to be comfortable. It's a bit narrow at first, but it breaks in easily. The tongue is a bit of a nuisance, but you get used to it. They are very warm and "waterproof" (not really, but they can keep your feet dry in rain/snow, unless you step in a puddle, that is) - great shoes for winter, but I couldn't wear it in the summer.
Overall great sneakers. The Sambas have a new fan.

Perfect shoe -
I bought these after wanting a pair for years. What I needed was a sneaker that was lightweight and not bulky, would go with whatever I wore, and that my jeans (always boot cut) wouldn't get awkwardly caught up on whenever I stood up.
These shoes proved to be perfect--the tall tongue & back fit under my jeans well for the most part, and the tongue is comfortable sitting up next to my shin or slipped along the side of the shoe. The gum sole is really grippy, and the laces stay where you leave them, so you can have the shoe fairly snug but still slip them on & off. Best of all, they are EXTREMELY comfortable--the foot bed is squishy without that feeling of disconnect from the ground that running shoes give, and the arch support is PHENOMENAL--exactly where it needs to be to support the foot & relieve pressure on the heel & ball. Trust me--I have very very high arches and the only other shoes that have supported me like this are Chacos.
My only complaint is that the shoes are bit wider than I'd prefer, but that's probably just because it is generally a men's shoe and my feet are a bit narrow.
--For the record, I usually wear a womens 9.5-10, and bought these in mens 9. They offer plenty of toe room. If they were snugger, I could've gone to a lower size, but as is my foot slips forward just enough to warrant a half size larger than ordinary. Overall, though, a perfect shoe--all you need for everyday wear (very waterproof, t'boot).
One last thing: these cost appx. the same price as a pair of Converse and IMO are better in every way. Plus fewer people wear these than do Chucks. Think about it.

Great overall sneaker for boys!
I bought this for my son who is picky and doesn't fit into "classic sneaker." He was skeptical at first because he thought they looked like cleats but he now loves them. They fit great, are comfortable and I think the other kids think they look cool so he's happy too!

These Shoes Are Awesome!
I am a new Zappos customer, and these shoes were my first purchase. I was a little skeptical about buying shoes online, since you can't try them on before you buy them. I finally decided to give online ordering a try after hearing about this service, their guarantee, and free shipping. And I must say it was a pleasant experience. I was pretty satisfied since they upgraded my shipping to next day for free. So, about these shoes; I just got them today because I accidentally used my billing address as my shipping address (be sure to double-check!) I was a little nervous opening them because I thought they wouldn't fit, but I was wrong. I have been wearing these shoes since the second I opened them, and they are great. I normally wear a 13.5, but I got a 14 since the reviews talked about them being a half size too small. And yes, they do have pretty minimal arch support. But they do look pretty stylish. The only comment I've been getting so far was that they look like golf shoes, but I really don't care what they say as long as they're comfortable (which they are!) I am not looking into returning these anytime soon (although the option is available). Overall, I would rate this service 5-stars (I'd probably give the shoes the same amount of recognition) I couldn't be happier with my first online shoe purchase, and will probably use this service again in the future. I would also recommend these shoes as well as the service to friends and family. Thank you Zappos!

Stylish, good-looking and comfortable -- Sambas have been around for awhile. I am on my second pair now, and hope to be able to get a 3rd pair in a year or so when these wear out.

Pros: Very comfortable and lightweight compared to the rain forest. It can be found with a variety of options such as insulation, steel toe, full leather, or cordura. It has excellent support and traction considering I work in residential construction and there are always pieces of rocks, bricks, mortar, and wood scraps around to trip or twist on. Finally best of all Made in USA!
Cons: Narrow toe box, my toes feel pinched after working 10 hour construction shifts. I should have got a size wider but it’s hard to tell when they are new. I also had to add a pair of Superfeet inserts for more arch support. The perforated plastic inserts that came with the boot were not enough. Because of the insert there is very little space between my toes and the roof of the toe box which causes more pinching when squatting or kneeling. The sole of the boot has a convex shape that causes the center row of lugs on the sole to wear down much faster than the outer rim. I've worn these boots daily for 9 months and the center lug is almost smooth. I purchased my pair from a discount shoe store locally so I don't know if it is a consistent problem or a defect. I expected the sole to last much longer than this. I plan on resoling them next summer since I switch to my winter boot soon. I would also prefer a speed lace system as an option in the future. All in all an awesome boot, IF you get the right size! Or else it can be a $240 pain in the foot. Order them online and wear them inside for a couple of days before taking them out for play. I have also worn these hiking and took a nap with my feet in a mountain stream. Very waterproof!

Very good shoes -
I play a lot of soccer and my feet get so sore because of my crappy cleats. So I asked for some new shoes and my mom showed me these Sambas. We ordered some and they are great. Very stylish and you can play soccer in these also with using cleats. I would strongly recommend these to people that want or need comfortable shoes. Good arch support also.

Adidas samba classic.
Best shoe I have ever owned. Really tough rough shoe. They get great grip on the pavement even when it’s very wet. You can run fast to in them.

Lasted a whole year of husband's abuse!
I bought these for my husband because I owned a pair in high school and they were very comfortable. They lasted him a year, that's pretty good especially where he is very hard on his shoes. They were true to size and width for him so no need to exchange them and he was very happy with them. We recently replaced them with Carload by Simple, but would buy Samba by adidas again! Nice classic look, great comfort.

I live in Texas, and with his order going to Michigan, he has to deal with much colder weather, he has a greater need for his comfort in their colder weather.
