I am absolutely thrilled with this item. It provides an inexpensive, always handy, video camcorder. I keep one in my handbag, so it is available whenever I want it.
The videos are extremely clear, the voices are loud though when taking the shots, you might be discouraged by the low volume; however, when downloaded in the computer they are loud and clear.
I would highly recommend this item, especially to mothers and grandparents of small children, or to those having pets. The instant memories are hard to forego.

Love it...except...
I got myself and my daughter--who lives 1,800 miles away--the Flip, and we both LOVE it! I video messages for my grandchildren and grandma's "doings," and she videotapes their activities (basketball, baseball, soccer, concerts, etc.). It's great for sharing when you live miles apart.
On the other hand, I do have one small problem with it. It is difficult to push the button off & on to record when you are aiming it at yourself. Sometimes I wind up doing what I think is a recording, only to have to do it all over again because the button push didn't start the video. This is probably more my fault than the camera's, but it seems to be in a bad spot to push.

You get what you pay for!
I owned it for a full week before it broke. I turned it on and could push one button, any button only once and it would quit functioning. The USB port is flimsy and I would not recommend this product. Although a very simple and intuitive design, beautiful & sleek, I would recommend splurging a bit more and purchasing a different video recorder. I really wanted to like it but it's just a very cheap accessory.

Puts a new spin on how often I take videos -
The convenience of this little item is great. How many times have we all seen something that we wish we could have recorded? I've been able to capture the antics of my 4-legged kids with the Flip that I could never get on my Hitachi… by the time I got it ready to shoot, the antics were over. I take the Flip everywhere and can shoot a video within seconds. The software is extremely simple… no need to be a techie. By the way Zappos, you people rock. I have purchased several items on your website. Your customer service, shipping, and return policies are outstanding.

A great little camera -
I love this Flip Video. I carry it in my purse and can take it out whenever I see something I want to videotape. Connection to the computer is easy and you can edit videos with the provided software (which is on the camera itself) or with Windows Movie Maker. Everyone I know wants a Flip Video!

Awesome, easy video camera -
This is our second video camera and I use it for everyday events. It is so easy to use and small enough I bring it everywhere. We even got one for my sister-in-law who loves it! You can take videos and transfer to the Web in a matter of minutes. Much easier than other digital/tape recorders. I only use those now for longer performances/recitals. Otherwise, my flip is the way to go for videoing!

Great little camera -
Bought this for my daughter’s 11th bday. She loves it. Our only complaint is it does not zoom in very close. Other than that and the fact it does use batteries (we buy rechargables) it is a great little camera that is incredibly simple to use and download to computer. Zappos price can't be beat and every other store in my area did not have them in stock.

The video camera is great for kids 8 & up. It is easy and portable to use. Comes in multiple colors which is really cool. You are able to randomly play videos on your TV. No setting up any software on the computer. It is that easy!

This camera is really great. Totally worth the money. If you just want a light weight easy camera that you can slip in your pocketbook and whip out when you want to capture some thing it’s the way to go. Haven’t downloaded it yet tho but for filming it’s a breeze.

It’s not going to give you the greatest video ever, but for the price and convenience, it is awesome. It is as easy to take along with you as your cell phone and operation is simple too so its just not that hard to come home from any little trip or outing with pretty good video of what you did.

Easy to use. Pictures are better close up. I didn't buy any thing else to use the camera. It comes with everything and it is lots of fun to use.

I am one of the Least technologically savvy people around and I find the Flip very easy to use. It doesn't come with an extensive instruction manual because it doesn't need one! The first time I plugged it into the computer it walked me through set up; no worries.
My videos are clear, it's neat being able to watch them with the TV, and I love being able to take still photos from the videos. It's like I can't have a 'bad' picture since I can choose the perfect snapshot.

We just returned from a family vacation and took our NEW Flip with us. I loved it! It's so easy to use. The only complaint that I have is that it's hard to stop the camera from recording.

Can't believe no one else came up with this beforehand. Who needs all the zip-bang things on a camcorder? All I need is point, zoom, send. This software even does MORE tho...but not an obnoxious-amount of more. Love this thing!

Editing and download of photos -
Purchased item in December as a Xmas gift. Very easy to use and excellent, clear pictures. Only problem is when you stop and start the unit, it does not download on your computer as a complete movie. You have to double click each phase or segment, to see the particular picture. Could not download to DVD only showed up as a VCR on TV using VCR/DVD recorder. Same with computer, only (CD-R), not DVD. Item was returned to Zappos without any reservation. The employees are very nice, understanding and considerate. Refund was made promptly and in the full amount of purchase. Too bad there aren't other businesses like Zappos. Will gladly do business with them again. I give this firm a five stars and just a four for the Camcorder.

Best Little Digital Video Around -
We bought this for my daughter, who is eleven, because she was all over our digital camera to shoot her own videos. The Flip is compact, easy to use, and so easy on price compared to a higher end cameras that we use it ourselves to shoot tidbits here and there.
Simply put, this camera may be, pound for pound, the single best amateur video product a person can buy. It uploads directly into a USB port, comes with its own easy to use software, but also transfers easily to iMovie for the Mac.
If you're shooting for Hollywood, you need high end equipment. For everyone else this camera is tha BOM!

We all Flipped for the Flip!
Oh what to get for my father-in-law for Christmas? He enjoys gadgets, but nothing too complicated. So, when he opened it and was immediately able to use it, we knew it was a winner. It's so easy; I could get one for my mom!

My 14-year-old niece picked it up in a matter of minutes. She had a little difficulty figuring out how to play the video on her Mac (had to change the format or something), but it didn't take her long. Her favorite Xmas gift.

I liked what I saw...
I gave this as a gift to my parents. I had the chance to play with it on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. So far, they love it! We took some videos, plugged it into the TV, and were able to watch it immediately. I thought it was an awesome product! It's small and very portable. They even send a small carrying case for it. Plus, it's easy to get the videos on your computer.

I am a retired filmmaker and video producer and cannot applaud or cheer loudly enough to share my excitement about this tiny video treasure. It is absolutely my selection as electronic gadget of the year. It makes capturing video clips of everyday life and events easier than clicking away at them with a digital point-and-shoot camera. The design, quality of product, ease of operation and even the clear and user-friendly directions and software make it a "must" for me everywhere I go. I don't leave home without two things - my cell phone and my Flip Video. Need I say more? Thanks for delivering such a fun, affordable and satisfying product.
