I actually ordered this shoe on a competitors website in a 23 and when they didn't have the next size up, I ordered it here. While the 24 I received from Zappos ended up being too large, it was a much richer, prettier brown and was a lot softer. (The other one practically felt like a steel toe shoe!) I love the fact that this shoe is plain so it will go with everything, it has a tennis shoe type rubber sole, and has decent arch support. I would definitely say they run a bit small, about 1/2 - 1 size small. My daughter just had her foot measured at a well-known, national shoe store and her toe just barely crossed the 6 mark so they suggested I buy 6.5. I ended up staying with the 23 in this shoe and purchased it from the Zappos website. It isn't too large, but will still be big enough that she'll be able to wear it for a few months before outgrowing. I can't thank Zappos enough for having what I have found to be the perfect Fall and Winter shoe or for the great shipping & return policy that helped me find the size I needed without any extra expense.

Classy Mary Jane -
My 5 year old LOVES this shoe! It is comfortable, and so elegant-looking. Granted, the price is not low, but I would rather have that than a shoe that costs half and is only marginally satisfactory. She loves her shoes and wants to show them off to everyone at school all the time. They are SOOoo pretty, and it is difficult to find simple AND comfortable Mary Janes. Way to go, Zappos, as always!

Well made classic!
I looked and looked for a pair of all brown leather shoes for my toddler daughter. I wanted these to be our go-with-everything shoes. Everything seemed to have flowers embroidered or was sewn with contrasting color thread, making then hard to polish. I found these and was a little leery - I had never seen this brand in person and they were a little more than the others (I'm used to spending about $45 for her shoes). But I decided to try them and I'm SO glad I did. These are WELL MADE. Their classis styling goes with EVERYTHING. I intended these to be our everyday shoes, so they go to the playground, in the yard, on walks... so they do get scuffed up, but a little polish and she can wear them with a dress. I am so pleased with these and will be ordering a second pair from Kid Express today. The only negative is the sizing. These were smaller than I expected (I had to exchange my 1st pair for the next size).

May be a little small -
I think that this shoe may need to be ordered a 1/2 size bigger than what your shoe measures.

 | | You're pretty awesome. Let me count the ways: 1. You make it easy for me to find great shoes. That should be enough. BUT I SOLDIER ON. 2. Pretty darn good website. There are lil' bugs here and there (sometimes narrowing a search doesn't totally work, but for the most part it does), but comparing you folks to some other nightmarish sites I've used, especially with the sheer amount of product you have for me to see...well done. 3. Convenience. HOLY CONVENIENCE, BATMAN! Much like Ian McKaye of the band Fugazi, I am a patient boy, I'll wait, I'll wait, I'll wait, I'll wait. But when I order from you I don't have to. I've had shoes get to me so fast I actually thought there must have been a mistake because it got to me TOO quickly. Guys, that is some serious service. This is why I buy shoes exclusively from you. 4. Customer Service. I had a store credit recently, but like an idiot, I deleted the email with the credit code. I called up and talked to a totally friendly, funny, helpful guy. He said he'd take care of emailing me the code and all would be right with the world. OH NOES! The email, actually never showed up. So I called back and spoke with a totally friendly, funny, helpful girl (with a completely pretty voice, I'll be honest) and she got me a coupon code while I was on the phone (THAT'S good turnaround) and explained that there were the dreaded *technical difficulties* and the other dude didn't actually screw up. Guys, I've never talked to a company on the phone and ended with such a good feeling. I have friends that I don't enjoy talking to on the phone that much. Close friends. Is it ok if I just call to talk sometime? I'm kidding. Maybe. 5. You ALL seem to have a sense of humor. You guys are frakkin' funny! Your email, any of the dig deeper sort of stuff (blogs, joke of the day, etc.). That is beyond refreshing, thank you so much :) Honestly, as long as you guys are around, you got my bidness. Rock over London, rock on Chicago. | | ~ Zachary S., November 07 2009
