Awesome bag. The description of the item is great, the way Zappos describes and shows the item is much more informational than the info that the maker provides. Very fast shipping. Everything went as desired.

We are just returning our Oakley Kitchen Sink. The reason for this is the "lid". It doesn't stay open by itself, so when you are trying to fill the backpack you have to somehow try to hold it open which is very awkward and annoying. Otherwise, the bag is awesome, very nice quality, tons of pockets. Loved the compartment for putting your wet stuff, that you could fill from the bottom of the bag.As always, great service from Zappos people; always talk to you with a smile in their voice. Love that!

I'm totally loving the bag! I'm a doc student so I have to carry a huge amount of materials (books, binders, laptop, etc.) to school every day. Not only do these materials fit wonderfully, but I can store all my gym clothes and sneaks in the bottom pouch. The bag fits comfortably so it is no problem when I'm riding my bike or on the metro. I'm also a frequent weekend vacationer, and this bag is the perfect size for a weekend get-away. The top flap is somewhat cumbersome, as it does not stay open easily. I'm somewhat nervous that by bending the top of the bag backwards too often that it'll diminish the quality. Overall, though, I'm very psyched to have gotten the bag.

Present for son -
My son very much loves this back pack! He lives at a dad house and a mom house ~so he is able to transport everything from house to house! He is 15 years old and 6'2 so this is a great size for him! It is comfortable to walk home from school and he looks so darn good with it on his back! I love all the pockets~ Perfect for transporting his Mac and Oakley sunglasses~ along with school books!

Eye catching bag -
Just love it. Gets attention that's for sure. Fits all my books, and laptop, but the more you put in logically the heavier it gets, but put it on your back, very comfortable even with heavy books. I worry about the quality of the inside lining. I'm not sure if the inside stands up to its high price. The hard case and back collects lint like a magnet, and hard case makes it tough to access the large pocket, keeps trying to close. The clips and metal look heavy, but theyre not, that's a plus. The large front clips pull open with red tabs so easily and is so impressive.
Other brands recommended by reviewer: Oakley is top of the line, buy any of the less expensive models you will be equally as happy.

Oakley Nails It!
I waited a long time to be certain I really wanted a $175 backpack. I needed a business solution to provide function, comfort and maybe a visual statement. I got all that and way underestimated the visual impact- it gets noticed! Most of us haul a lot of heavy crap in a briefcase with soft handles and a too thin shoulder strap. This backpack makes much more sense- it has ergonomic features to make impossibly heavy loads easier on the back and arms. It is far better designed than any other case or BP I've looked at or tried but then again, that's kinda how Oakley rolls isn't it?! I haul a 15" mac in a sleeve easily and well protected. There is room for everything and expansion options nothing else comes close to. I need to also mention how great the Zappos team is to work with. I am completely satisfied with the entire experience which is why I took the time to write this to share with others.

Great Quality!
First of all let me start by saying that Zappos exudes the best customer oriented business bar none. I ordered my Oakley bag free of shipping at 3:00pm PT and received it the very next day!!! Their service is the best I have ever encountered. As far as the bag, the quality of construction and compartmental space is the best I have owned, or seen ever. I have a 17" laptop that fits perfect and with unbelievable space to spare, highly recommended.

Got this for my 16 year old son and he immediately loved it. Looks cool and it holds everything he needs for school and more. I wanted something that would last and take him through college and this fits the bill.

Tech Geek's and Urban Warrior perfect backpack -
I love this backpack. I just got it today and it holds all of my books for school, workout shoes and clothes as well as my 17" laptop. The description says that it will fit up to a 15" notebook but if you go to the Oakley website you will get the real dimensions.
The only thing I would have liked to see is more covered pockets like the ones under the front flap for more power bricks, cables, and what-not. But there is a good amount of space under the molded pockets under the flap to have loose things...I just like order to the chaos. :)
One thing the pictures do not show is that there are molded pockets with covering flaps on both sides of the hip belt thingy. Well worth the money even though it is rather expensive but it should be the only backpack I will ever need no matter if I am at school or camping or whatever.
A++++
I can carry all.

Spacious backpack with few drawbacks -
This backpack looks good, but it carries incredibly well. It has more than enough room for all of your stuff and it is rare that a backpack has felt as natural on my back as this one has. It has sturdy construction and I've detected no quality problems (as I often do with other packs whose threads or other bindings seem to fray quickly). The only drawback to this pack is that it is sometimes awkward to get items in or out - if Oakley were to fix that, it would be without peer.

This is a great bag. It's big with a good number of compartments. The style is one of a kind. It's a vast improvement on the previous Icon2.0 that I owned. I hope that this bag will give me years of great use. The only bummer is the 90-day warranty. When you spend this much on a bag I think it should last a lifetime.

Nice bag -
Thinking of spending the $ on this bag, but not sure if it is worth it? Here are some things to know.
1) Yes, it probably is a little overpriced. As with most Oakley products, you are spending a little more to get the "O" emblem. On the other hand, they make quality products, so at least you know you are getting something that will last. This bag is no exception.
2) It is better looking than in the picture. I think the amount of metal hooks, clips, etc.... is a little overkill, and probably contributes to the higher cost. But obviously most other reviewers seem to think these make it more attractive.
3) It is HUGE. If you are a small person, this will be too big for you. This may be a plus for you, but you should be aware that it is really big.
Overall, I would recommend it. I've used it as a sports bag, and it works great to carry cleats, gloves, water bottles, etc... in it.

LOVE THIS BAG!!!!!!!
Just got the bag from the box and I love it! Finally a bag that I can carry my computer and books in for school. I go between two major cities everyday and this is going to allow me to only need one bag instead of two. Buy this bag! It is worth every single penny.

If God would have designed a backpack...
The backpack is much more attractive in person than in pictures, especially in black. The red pull strips look great on the black backpack, even though they look "weird" in pictures. The quality of the materials is great, and its full of metal pieces that make it worth what it costs. The pockets are a lot bigger than what they look like in the pictures: the side pockets are huge, big enough to fit a water bottle. The bottom on the front is big too; its not a little flap, its a whole pocket where you can put an agenda, a pencil case, and a lot more. As for the bottom pocket, the watertight one, its not just a little added pocket on the bottom. Theres a big membrane that separates the main compartment from the bottom watertight one, so you can use just about all the main compartment space to put something wet in this bottom compartment, perfecto for a wet wetsuit after surfing. About comfort I must say thats its very comfortable. It rests perfectly on your shoulders, and the deep back panel lets your back breathe and ventilate on hot days. Another thing that isnt evident is the comfort of using the tie downs. It is quick and easy, and it doesnt require neither time or effort to attach them.
There isnt really any evident defect on this backpack, and the only thing wired about it is the 3 month guarantee, because its quality is sufficient to give it a lifetime guarantee.

Nice looking... that's about it.
Just received this bag and I'm turning it around and sending it back. What a disappointment. No doubt, this bag looks cool... but for the price, I absolutely would have expected a more durable bag. Some other reviews will say it's durable, but trust me, it won't last. The inside material is even worse than the outside. I am trying to replace an old Clive backpack that would still last for awhile, but I've had it for 10 years and need a change. The material they used back then was way better and I'm going to have to do a lot more homework and research before I figure out what I want. If you aren't a heavy user, go for it... but if you are a road warrior like I am (I travel by plane weekly for work)... save your money and buy two of some cheaper bag. Also, I don't think there are enough pockets for small things like keys, gum, chapstick, etc... You'll end up losing your small stuff somewhere. The sunglass pocket on top would probably protect your shades, but I wouldn't leave my $100+ glasses in there... and the outside attracts lint like a dust rag. SERIOUSLY, save your money!

Kitchen Sink And Zappos Rock!
I just made a trip to the West Coast from North Carolina and used my new Kitchen Sink for the first time! The storage compartments were amazing and I was able to care a large laptop, ac adapter, camera, several notebooks, address book, hats, light jacket, snacks, water bottle, sunglasses, iPod, mobile phone, large Bible, and still could have put MORE stuff in it. It was easy to carry with the shoulder straps and waist band and I got through the airports security checks easily by simply pulling the laptop out the side zipper. If I had not had to carry clothes for several days, a skateboard, wheels, and tools, I could have easily done with just this one bag. I can see that this is going to be a universal choice for me for a variety of travel, hiking, and other activities. I commute each day with a Oakley AP Sandbag either on a longboard, skateboard, or bicycle and that bag is great, but I can see when I have a larger load, the Oakley Kitchen Sink will be the bag of choice. I replaced an Oakley Icon bag that was 10 years old and finally gave up the ghost with this pack and I am very glad I went big with my choice. ZAPPOS customer service rocks, too! I had to get this bag in a hurry and the website said they only had 3 in stock. I called in my order and Christie took care of me very professionally and very pleasantly. I even got a thank you note! That is CRAZY, but greatly appreciated!

Pictures don't do justice -
I just bought this backpack to replace my Icon 2.0 that I had for over a year, but was destroyed in a motorcycle accident. It just got sent to me. What an awesome backpack! Fits well, tons of storage, and looks great. Thought about getting the AP pack, but my insurance gave me a $200 limit, so I got the one with more space. I do a lot of international travel and for the money, I don't think that there is much better out there. Gregory packs are great, but nothing they make at this time can compare to this pack. My 15 inch iBook fits perfectly in it, too. The pack is really made well. I like it much more than my old Icon 2.0 and that bag rocked, too. It is a big bag, but not too oversized at all and is great for big trips or just everyday general use. I know its a lot of money, but totally worth it. Quality and style cost bucks. Overall, I am very pleased. Its nice getting it here because its tax free and gets shipped overnight for free.

 | | You guys rule! I ordered my shoes at about 10pm on Tuesday, and they arrived Wed about 5pm!!! You are the absolute best! I wear narrow shoes and I thought I could only wear New Balance, so I was pleasingly surprised to find you had Avias in my size. Thanks, as always, for your fantastic service. Your site is really easy to navigate, and you definitely have the best selection of anywhere. Thank you! Jayne P. | | ~ Jayne P., August 29 2009
