That darned velcro strap. The build of the shoe is such that it won't stay on your foot without the strap. The buckle is just decorative. The strap really holds together with a small piece of velcro that is wholly inadequate. At first the velcro pulls loose and you can reattach it. Over time the fuzzy side of the velcro wears out and the strap ends up flapping around unattached. Then it sounds like you're wearing flip flops because the heel comes on and off your foot with every step.

Nice shoe, very well made. It is deep enough for an orthotic. The problem is that the strap is not long enough for the Velcro. The other reviews that I read about this shoe said the same thing. It is annoying to have to fix the strap when you are walking because it gets loose.

These shoes are terrific! I wear full-orthotics and they work great in these shoes! These shoes are very comfortable to wear all day!

These shoes are wide enough for my feet, but the size that I normally get is too big on me. I haven't figured out what to do yet, if I'm going to get a half size down or just give up on them.

I have fibromyalgia, so my feet change size all day, everyday due to swelling, etc. This shoe is comfortable. Roomy and that helped with the swelling. Looks great with slacks for the office. The buckle is actually velcro, so that is a bonus!

No velcro please -
This would be a fantastic shoe were it not for the velcro closure on the strap. It becomes loose without much pressure. I will probably sew the strap down. This shoe is well made, comfortable all day, and will accommodate an orthotic and my bunion! Maybe they will come out with an authentic buckle on the strap... then I would buy it again.

Very comfortable supportive shoe. Although a little roomy, I'm glad they came with inserts or I would've had to send them back. With the inserts there still is a lot of toe room but that’s OK since I got them for walking and exercise.

They felt at least a 1/2 size larger than marked. Arch support was good. They appeared to be well constructed, except that the Velcro didn't seem to line up quite right. I didn't think they looked as cute as in the picture, either. That often happens, though because I wear such a large size. I sent them back.

Dislike the Velcro strap -
I have a very wide foot and am in the midst of trying to figure out which P.W. Minor shoe might be right for me. The Park Avenue is clunkier than some of the others and has a wider heel. I also didn't like the fact that the buckle is not usable and hides a velcro strap. I realize this might be a plus for some. At this point I prefer the Bella.

Nice but BIG!
This is a well-made shoe with a substantial sturdy sole, but it has a wide heal and runs long and wide. I tried an 8.5 medium; I tried PW Minor before and I knew it was roomy. I was tempted to reorder in size 8 because the 8.5 fit like a size 9. My orthotics fit this shoe in the medium width. Generally, I need a wide for my orthotics. I do not have a wide foot, but I do need a roomy toe box and there is plenty in these shoes for your toes (bunions). Also, the strap has a velcro attachment; the buckle is decorative. I prefer a real buckle; when the strap stretches, the buckle allows for a tighter adjustment. So, that was a disappointment, too. I returned these because the heel, even in a smaller size, would have been too wide for me.

This shoe has plenty of room for orthotics and toe wiggle room. I wear a size women's 12M and I have an arthritic foot. I stand up for much of my work day and these shoes work well. They aren't as cushy as I would like, but they are cute. Oh, and Zappos is the best shoe retailer, been with them for years now!

Style has found comfort -
My feet are deformed from rheumatoid arthritis, and it's almost impossible to find stylish, yet comfortable, shoes. While they aren't as comfortable as my SAS everyday sneakers, they're the best little dressier shoe I've found.

I love these shoes! They are wide enough across the toe box, are comfortable for long walks on the first wearing, and are cute! I needed the included extra liner, without it they were too loose, but with it they are perfect.

I called yesterday to exchange sneakers for a larger size, and late last night ordered some girly shoes, and this morning BOTH the sneakers and the shoes were at my door! I am stunned! Today I called a different place to order a specialty item (after checking Zappos site for something similar first, of course) and there is just no comparison whatsoever. Now I must wait at least a week for my order from this other place, and on top of that, pay ten bucks shipping! See, I am spoiled by Zappos spectacular customer service. Thank you so much!
