These shoes run really big. I wear a solid 8 and I'd say this particular 8 was an entire size too big, literally flopping around on my foot. Other than that, they're really cute and have all the little Dr. Marten touches like well-stitched leather and sturdy sole. They're quite heavy for a sandal, I guess it's all the rubber, & I'm not sure if a white footbed was the best idea. May try a smaller size.

Cute shoes, comfy, good style for work, well-constructed. I ordered a 4 (I travel between a 3 & 4 in Docs, depending on the style). But the toes on these sandals stuck out disproportionately far for the way the rest of the shoe was sized. Also agree with other reviewers about the too-short ankle strap. Proportions just seem a bit off on these overall. Being that they are British shoes I believe the correct word is wonky!

LOVE these.
I own these in black and am now buying them in brown. I am terribly picky when it comes to shoes; I can't stand to wear a shoe that my heel slips out of, so no slides or skimmers or anything like that for me. I love this shoe for its comfort and the fact that my foot stays securely in place. I also love the height of the heel. The heel is also wide enough that I don't turn my ankle and stumble when I wear them. Truth be told, I do think these look a bit matronly, but comfort is much more important to me than style.

They grew -
I got these last season (thank you Zappos) ordered down a size, and the toe area grew- a lot! In fact, even with padding my feet now flop around in them and I find myself tripping over my feet. The good news is that if they feel tight at first, they should end up being perfect for you.

These are great shoes. I was looking for something to fit a custom orthotic that would also let my toes breathe and give me a lift. Unfortunately, they rub on my ankle bones when I walk...maybe with a sock in cooler weather. The straps are kind of short.

A comfortable, good looking sandal -
A comfortable, good looking sandal. Great arch support. I've gotten compliments on the look. But I normally wear an 11. Ordered these in a 10 and they fit very well. Also, a little hard on the ball of the foot. I had to add a cushion for that area.

Runs large!
Great looking shoe, the perfect shoe in the looks department BUT, the size runs greater than a full size larger than listed. As other reviews indicate, the strap is a real issue as well. The ankle strap is about 3/4" too short. It's too bad because the look of the shoe is p-e-r-f-e-c-t but the sizing issues are forcing an exchange. On the bright side, Zappos is as fantastic as always--received my package next day and their easy return/exchange process is superior to all others!

Sizing too strange!
I love these shoes, but the sizing is way off. I usually wear a 7.5, so I ordered the 5, which is too big. The 4 fits, but is too tight around the ankle. I'm sad because I think I'll have to return both of them. Sigh...

Really Cool Shoe -
I am delighted with these great sandals. They are perfect for summer and go with everything: jeans to dressy outfits. I would recommend some REAL arch support, which I have with my other 2 pair of Doc's. I can't wear these 24/7 like the other pair. Strap is a bit short. Other than that, they are comfy for a whole day of walking & I LOVE THEM. The same Doc-vibe-look is a big plus.

Great Style and comfort!!!
The leather is super soft so no painful rubbing. I do fear that the toe piece will stretch over time, but the ankle strap does a great job of holding your foot in. Runs Large in size. I ended up ordering what is considered on this page a size 8, but am definitely a size 9 in all other brands. This shoe is my favorite strappy sandal, looks great with skirts and jeans.

I love the idea of this sandal. Super Euro cute & comfy... but was shocked at how long it really is. Mine just arrived last night & I need to return for a smaller size. I will give it one more try because I do like them.

Great sandal -
This sandal has it all. It's comfortable, has the right mix of fem/tough. I get tons of compliments. Because of the closed heel it appears to runs a bit large.

This summer's vacation sandal -
A true multi-tasker of a sandal, this one literally goes with everything from jeans to shorts to casual dresses. And it's super comfortable. The only reason I deducted a star is because the strap is so short that I had to have extra holes added so that I could buckle it. I normally buckle on the middle or 2nd to last hole on a strap, but this one wasn't even close to fitting.
