Pretty decent - good choice for flat feet on the wider side -
So I've been ordering and returning a multitude of sandals, trying to find a pair that would do for a 4 month trek in the heat of Africa. I just got these this morning (excellent customer service and return policy, by the way, Zappos! Thanks!) My foot is on the wide side and nearly flat. The width is perfect, straps adjust easily by simply tightening the buckle, and the arch isn't too high, so that's great. I loved the Chacos, but they looked awkward on my feet: a wide was too wide, a regular was too narrow in the heel and caused blisters. These sandals seem very light and flexible compared to Chacos. They still have a good sole on them, though it looks like it may be harder to clean out than the Chacos; they're squishy and comfy on my feet, but they don't seem to be as quite as supportive as the Chaco. The drainage ports are a cool addition and situated above/along the tips of my toes, so I don't think I'll have pinching problems as I did on some of the Tevas. No padding or frills on the straps. I think they're more feminine and less bulky, so I like the look, but they do rub on the outer toes and inner ankles, so they'll take some breaking in. The straps are attached to the shoe with a plastic blue loop at the side, which appears to be just glued on, rather than wrapping inside the sole of the shoe. I hope that glue lasts. Wish it was available in more colors. Hoping they do well in the water as promised. The front seems a touch long when standing around - I usually wear an 8, sometimes 8.5, but they're perfect when walking b/c my toes don't go over the edge... I think I'll keep 'em, though the price still makes me cringe a bit.
