I have very narrow feet and these shoes are comfortable and look wonderful. I recommend them without reservation. Like all Birkenstock shoes, they are wearing well and I like the twist of patent leather tops combined with the casual, comfy bottoms.

I'm quite happy with this shoe. The bottoms have the signature Birkenstock smoothness and structure, making them super comfortable. The patent leather top pushes them out of the super casual category just enough; not too fancy, not too casual, great for everyday wear. Though the size I ordered purportedly corresponds to an 8 or 8 1/2, I usually wear a 9. I give it 4 stars all around because it isn't quite the perfect shoe, but still receives my full recommendation!

I like the look of this sandal but at least for me the piece between the toes is stiff and uncomfortable. I keep hoping it will soften up. So far, it has not. As others have said, I do not understand why the piece cannot be made of something softer. I do not want a blister between my toes, so I rarely wear these.

First of all let me say I have never had the quality of service I got from Zappos. I ordered these shoes at 5pm and had them in hand at noon the next day, with free shipping. Incredible. And these shoes rock! I love them. I ordered down a half size and they fit perfect. Took maybe a day to break them in, but now I never take them off!

I am quite pleased with the Birkenstocks. My daughter really liked hers and recommended them to me. A friend of hers saw mine and asked what kind they were and she said they were the nicest Birkenstocks she had ever seen. But more importantly, my feet were always painful by the end of the day whenever I wore regular sandals but with the Birkenstocks I can go all day.

I love Birkenstocks and of course they are so comfortable. One problem I've always had with them, however, is that the soles wear out too quickly. The footbed and top look great, but the rubber sole (rear outer edge) always wears down until there's only cork left. If Birkenstock could remedy that, the shoes would be perfect.

I love these sandals! I am on my feet all day, and they give such great support & comfort. They only take a day or two to "break in" the jute/cork sole. I have found I prefer narrow width, as it hugs my foot and fits my toe area best. I found this through trying on Birks in the past. The best part is how easily they pair with everything!

I love these shoes! This was my second pair of Gizehs and I knew they would be very cute and comfortable. They are comfortable straight from the box, but take a few days of light walking to really conform to your foot. After that, they are incredibly comfortable!

Beautiful shoe that is easy to wear. I found the shoe to run true to size and did not think the toe part was any larger than any other shoe. I wear them nearly everyday and get complimented on them almost just as much. I love the patent leather; they go with jeans and dress pants alike. As always Zappos service was beyond excellent. My next pair of shoes will come from Zappos as well.

I love these sandals! I was looking for something stylish (with the current Greek goddess look), but that was still comfortable enough to walk around in. These definitely fit that bill. They look great with shorts or jeans, and feel like a comfort shoe. They come in narrow which is a huge plus for me, and they have tons of arch support. The part that goes between your toes is soft, not rigid, so I don't get any blisters from wearing them for a long period of time. I highly recommend these shoes!

These shoes are great. Very basic black patent leather thonged sandals, but great! They are extremely comfortable and give you lot of support. I love Birkenstock. As for Zappos, they were also wonderful. They sent my shoes to me fast and with no problems. They were also cheaper than other stores.

I love the look of these sandals! They are casual but can be dressed up due to the patent leather. I even wore them to a wedding and they looked cute. They provide some toe coverage because of the flap between the toes. I liked the flap because I have a hammertoe I want to cover up. It works for me!

I absolutely love these shoes. This is my second pair and I wear them almost every day. They go with everything and are incredibly comfortable from the first day. I usually wear an 8 but wear a 38 in these shoes (which I think is around a 7.5).

These may very well be the PERFECT shoe! I had a pair of Gizeh's years ago and wore them so much they fell apart. I forgot how comfortable and stylish they are on my feet. They go with jeans, shorts or dresses and the black patent give your look a little edge. These sandals are more comfortable than my sneakers. They do run big, though. I ordered a size down. If you want style molded to your foot, buy these shoes!

Classy sandal! The black patent makes the "homely" base of this shoe fashionably acceptable. It’s VERY comfortable once you wear them around the house for two days. It conforms to the shape of your foot. Magic. The straps are smartly placed so there isn’t any fumbling with trying to keep them on. I can run with these shoes! I am between sizes - I am able to wear sizes 6 through 7. So I ordered the 37 Narrow. Perfect fit.

I bought these for my sister-in-law who normally wears a size 8 1/2. They were a little narrow so she made an extra hole in the belt, which expanded it a bit. She loves them and wears them constantly. I bought the same pair in a size 36, which corresponds to a size 5 1/2. I wear a 6 1/2 normally, so I was surprised that they fit, but they do. I love these shoes and wear them almost everyday. They are a little awkward initially, but now I can't wear flip flops because they hurt my feet compared to these. They are awesome shoes and so adorable. Zappos is the best when it comes to returns and ordering.

This shoe is terrific! I normally wear a 7 in sandals, but went down a 1/2 size to the 37. I had always heard Birkenstocks were comfortable and wow are they. These shoes do have to be broken in. I actually found them uncomfortable until they molded to my feet. They are stylish day shoes and I can run around the city all day without my feet hurting a bit!

Birkenstock Gizeh-Great!
I love this shoe. I have two other pair in leather, but wanted this in patent leather. I can walk all day in this shoe and my feet feel great. I had foot surgery on both feet and can't wear a lot of the shoes that are out there. Birkenstock shoes are the best for me and the most comfortable. I love the new styles that have come out.

Great non-hippie looking shoe -
I love the shoe! I wear Birkenstocks because I am on my feet all day and love the support they offer. This is a great style because it looks a lot less hippie than their very traditional styles!

Gizeh sandal, nice -
I just got these and realized within minutes that they would need some breaking in as there is a lot of give and take that need to go on between your toes. Overall, I loved the way they looked and the sizing is indeed large, so go a number lower than you would normally as I did and was happy with the way they fit. I would recommend these to someone who is looking for a comfortable Birk, that has a little more style. I got them for myself for pregnancy as my feet tend to swell and these will be cute but accommodating.

Comfort over looks, but the most feminine of the Birks -
I wanted a comfy sandal for my trip to Florida, ordered these Monday, had them on my doorstep Tuesday in time for my trip Wednesday. Zappos always ships next day and this is reason enough to buy all my shoes here. These are my second pair of Birks, they are comfortable and the black patent makes them the most feminine style I've seen. I am usually a 7.5-8 and ordered the 38 which is 7-7.5 with perfect fit.
