I purchased these shoes for a senior who had hurt her foot and wasn't able to fit in her regular shoes. The ability to adjust the fit in three areas was an advantage for a foot that was temporarily swollen. My friend really likes the design and finds the shoe to be really comfortable. They are now her “best” shoes. The only strange thing was the fit. My friend wears an 8 narrow, but this size was way too big (in length). They fit me (a size 9). We reordered and got the 7 narrow for her and they fit fine. Saw both the kid leather and the nubuck. Shoe is attractive in either material. Zappos provided their usual excellent service both in the shipping and the return of the larger pair.

This sandal is very comfortable. It also is very stylish and can be used into the autumn season. A definite recommendation!

Almost perfect -
These sandals are very comfortable except for the velcro on the strap over the toes. It pokes the top of my foot. I bought these for a comfort shoe, so I wasn't expecting anything adorable. Needless to say I won't buy this style again.

Attractive and comfortable - I bought a pair last summer and loved them. I have long narrow feet, so buying shoes is always a challenge. I did have to cut out the elastic under the strap at the front because I couldn't make even the narrow size fit snug enough for my feet with the elastic in place. But otherwise they've been great. When I developed a severe case of plantar fasciitis this spring, these sandals were the only shoes I could wear without pain. Did I say I love them?

Scratchy Seams -
I like the color of this sandal. I bought the Pewter Metallic. However, the front strap had seams underneath that scratched my foot. Also, I had foot surgery two months ago and needed more comfort which these didn't do for me. I found the cork Mephisto's to be just right.
Zappos’ zippy shipping and excellent service is the best. Thanks, Zappos.

Good-looking, sturdy, and comfortable. My only complaint is that I have pretty narrow feet and while this sandal is adjustable, I found that the velcro didn't extend as far as I would like so I have some overhang of the straps. Another thing is that the straps closest to the toes are adjustable but sewn onto a piece of elastic. Therefore, if you also have narrow feet and make the strap tight, the elastic folds up a bit on itself. I think this may be why I got blisters the first time I wore them. But considering I wore them to an amusement park for 12 hours, they were comfortable otherwise. Would be nice if this was available in narrow sizes.

Not bad, but not great either -
I have wide, flat short feet and a weak ankle, so finding trendy shoes that give me the support I need (I do a lot of walking)is almost impossible. After trying out many shoes from Zappos, the Clarks Sarasota was the pair that came the closest. It looks reasonably pretty, goes with any kind of outfit, and gives a good amount of support. There is a kind of strange bulge in the heel when you first get it, but its extra cushioning, and you get used to it pretty quickly. My main problem with these shoes is that the straps don't tighten enough to keep my foot from sliding around, and also the edge of the top strap on both shoes digs into my foot, so I've had to wear band-aids as protection. I've been told that filing the edge with a nickel should help that, but I haven't tried yet.

So comfy! I love this shoe, and my new bunion loves it too!!! It is "just what the doctor (podiatrist) ordered," except that it is stylish and reasonably priced. I may have to order another pair in a different color.

The shoe was nice looking and I was excited to order it. Sadly, the back strap was too large/long to tighten it to fit. I also thought the color was lighter than the picture. I love Zappos and have picked another pair of shoes.

Are your feet bigger in the P.M.?
Just right for folks who have larger feet by 5:00 in the afternoon than they did in the morning. Adjustments allow for a great fit all day. Even without socks, they required no break-in time from the very beginning. If you wear socks with sandals around here, you're socially penalized, so sockless comfort matters. Soft finished sturdy leather makes all the difference and they look decent enough.

The comfort and versatility can't be beat!
For those interested in comparing the Lucena and Saratosa in pewter metallic, the Lucena is slightly lighter in color, with an almost bronze tinge. Like others have mentioned, I also experienced my heel slipping off to the side, but only in the Lucena. I had no heel slippage in the Saratosa at all because I was able to secure my heel with the 3rd Velcro strap that adjusts the distance around the back of the foot. The Lucena has no such adjustment; its 2nd Velcro strap adjusts mostly the front straps only. I thought the Lucena looked more stylish than the Sarasota in terms of design. However, the front ankle strap on the Lucena was higher on the leg which felt slightly less comfortable. The Sarasota also provides protection to the sides of the foot on either side, but the Lucena is more open. I finally decided to keep the Saratosa because I wanted the heel stability, and my wide foot looks slimmer in it than in the Lucena. The leather straps on both are just heavenly, and both sandals are wonderfully comfortable right out of the box!

Stylish and Comfortable -
I love, love these sandals. If you are wondering how anyone can be in love with a sandal?--It is because I have a narrow foot, usually sacrifice style for comfort but not with this sandal. I can walk all day and my feet do not hurt. They fit perfectly. I receive many compliments on this style, love the strap across the front, it helps with the comfort of the shoe. If my size was available I would buy one in a couple more colors. Thank you Zappos for your immediate shipping and carrying narrow width sandals and shoes.

Clarks - yes sometimes you can go wrong. I bought these elsewhere for the color (Zappos didn't have blue in my size); they were fine until I wore them all day, sans nylons. The underside of the front velcro closure has a sort of open seam, which has given me a serious blister. With nylons they're OK, but otherwise I'm going to have to wear a bandage when I wear them without anything on my foot. Otherwise, they are lovely, and comfortable.

Great Fit!
I've always had a hard time finding a shoe that will fit my small, narrow, with a high arch size 6 feet and then I started wearing Clarks. Fortunately, their size 6 fits me so well that I can order them online and not have to worry.

You can't go wrong with Clarks -
I am very happy with this sandal. I was thankful for the previous reviews in helping me decide. I was, therefore, not surprised regarding the lack of arch support. I easily solved that problem by going to a drug store and buying a nifty little silicone arch support that is sticky on the bottom allowing you to place it where you need it. The sandal is perfect in every other way. I was thrilled to death with the awesomely fast service that Zappos provided - I placed my order on a Sat. afternoon and it was delivered Mon. afternoon. Unbelievable!!!

Great shoe!
With three velcro straps, this shoe can be made to completely fit any foot. The heel also has added comfort with the flexible pad. Most comfortable sandal I have.

Clarks Sarasota’s are a great basic shoe!
This shoe is perfect for me- I wear a size 12 medium and am looking for comfort above all, plus something that doesn't call attention to my feet! The beige colour elongates the leg and the small heel is right for me at my age-63-no more stilettos, unfortunately. I also appreciate the velcro closures which make the shoe widely adjustable. The Clarks last seems to fit me better than any other and this is just one of their line which I own-I ordered a couple of pairs of New Balance walking shoes in the exact same size and could hardly jam my toes in. They may not be the most "stylish" shoe in the world but they suit me perfectly and I look forward to wearing them for some time- they won't go out of "style". And thanks, Zappos, for your incomparable service...

Dressier comfort sandal -
I bought the navy version of this shoe in 11 narrow and found it so comfortable that I ordered a second pair in black. It is far less clunky looking than other Clarks that I have ordered with the three adjustable straps for the heel, ankle, and toes that I need to accommodate securely my narrow, mismatched feet with a developing bunion. Even in the narrow, the heel strap could not be pulled in quite enough to fit securely, but the fit is better than most. I am a school librarian, on my feet all day. These looked a bit dressier with skirts than the Sunbeat.

Sarasotas make my injured feet sing -
Comfortable even for my injured feet, strappy style adds appeal without the strain of a high heel. Wish they came in summer white.
