Excellent shoes for a picky shoe shopper! Buying shoes for me is always a dreaded task. Almost every pair I try, from just about every brand, either pinches/rubs my toes, or the side scoop area (whatever it's called) is too high and therefore painfully digs into my ankle. I bought the Clarks Zarkon a couple of days ago and have been extremely pleased. First, the toe box area is wide enough so that my toes are not pinched or even cramped. Second, the scoop area is nice and low and soft (it's stretchable material), so I experience no ankle rubbing/discomfort. When I've tried loafer style shoes in the past, they often end up stretching out too much, resulting in the back slipping. But the Zarkons haven't done this, in part because the top is snug enough again my foot, but not too snug for me so that the shoe holds nicely onto my foot. In fact, I agree with other reviewers that a shoe horn is necessary for putting on the shoes, which I don't mind in the least. I've been very pleased to discover that the Zarkons are comfortable to wear all day long. They feel more like slippers than shoes, which I like. I just ordered a second pair as a back-up, so I don't run the risk of not being able to replace the pair a bought a couple of days ago in case these shoes are discontinued in the future. And finally, my experience has been that my actual size, 7.5, is what's worked perfectly for selecting the size of the shoes.

Very light and comfortable. Distinctly casual, but cross-over some. Sole looks, but doesn't feel, clunky and the elastic side panels practical but dress it down a bit.

These are good looking and super comfortable. I ordered a variety of shoes for my husband and he chose these and another pair.He also loved shopping with Zappos it wasn't like pulling teeth to get him to go to the store and him picking some shoes that didn't fit perfectly just so he could go home.

First pair of this brand/style was from another source. Went with Zappos for two reasons for the second pair: $10 cheaper and free shipping. Add fast service, and Zappos has a new customer. Shoes themselves are as advertised except they are not easy step out/step in shoes for airport security checks. The counter is quite high and the elastic gore makes it necessary to use a card or your fingers as a shoe horn to put them on. Really only a minor point considering all the other positive features.

Great Shoe. No more foot pain! I got tired of trying to find a shoe that would fit my wide foot in shoe stores. I would try on literally dozens of pairs in the hopes that a D would be a slightly bigger D (And no one was ever around to assist me). Well, after having awful foot and leg pain and fatigue with my last two pairs (I'm on my feet all day), I tried Zappos, and the shoe fits, and no more foot or leg pain! This shoe is probably the most comfortable shoe I've ever owned.

This is my 4th pair of these. They used to be called Privos but I think Clarks took them over. They are amazingly light and comfortable. The stitching makes these appear a little more casual than the Privos, so not good as a sub for dress shoes with a suit but for everything else they are fine.

Nice shoes, good support, very comfortable and soft. Would prefer that they were a little easier to slip on and that the elastic were dyed same color as the shoe instead of black. Maybe slip-on will be easier as they wear.

Most comfortable shoe I have ever owned!!!!
I have been looking for a casual slip-on shoe that I can wear everyday at work for about 2 years. I finally found it and I couldn't be happier. These shoes are as my review is titled: most comfortable shoe I have ever owned!!!!
The first pair I order were too big and the Zappos customer service helped me out. I got my replacement pair the next day! I was amazed.

Awesome comfy shoe for the office that feel like Nike Frees -
I've worn these a couple days now and absolutely love them. I didn't know they existed until I noticed them at a store in the Minneapolis Skyway. The sole is just like my Nike Free athletic shoes, which I've had worn to the gym for years – really, really comfortable. This is not like any other casual shoe out there, it's a fraction of the weight and ten times more comfortable. I hope they keep making these because it's truly awesome to find a shoe I can wear all day in the office and be comfy. They make you feel light on your feet and because of the super duper flexible sole, you have way more control and feel of what you’re walking on, hence the back to barefoot feel. See the cool article that New York Magazine put out on how it took 4million years for our feet to evolve and now we’re ruining them with shoes. I'm not a huge barefoot person, but this shoe will make you more dependent on your foot muscles, which is good.

These seem a bit chincier than previous Clarks I've owned - hope the quality is not slipping. We'll see how long they last compared to some of my older pairs (some of which are still going 10 years on).
