Maybe I got a bad pair? I like the idea of the shoe and the left shoe even felt very comfortable. But the good ends there. My first complaint is there is was something wrong with the right shoe. When my foot was in it, it felt part of the sole was made wrong and an large area was pushing into the bottom of my foot. This makes me think Quality Control wasn't very good at their job this day. Next complaint is with the laces. The shoes came tightened as much as possible with 4 inches of lace left on each side. Once I loosened it a little there wasn't enough lace to tie the shoe. Fully tight they are not loose enough for a truly wide foot. I think they may have had laces for narrow shoe on a wide shoe. Because of this I'll say they felt narrower than marked.

Very comfortable - comes in wide widths!\r\n\r\nI\'ve found these shoes to be high quality and very comfortable. I have had big foot problems for the past 15 years resulting in the use of orthotics but also requiring just the right shoe in addition to avoid pain. As my feet get worse over time, my previous \'just right\' brand wasn\'t cutting it any more. \r\n\r\nI was hesitant at the 30% higher price of this shoe, but gave it a try given Zappos return policy. This is now my new \'just right\' shoe, and I\'ve accepted that I\'m not going to find the right shoe for under a hundred bucks. The heel pain I was developing in my old brand (but a new pair) has gone away.\r\n\r\nFinally, if you narrow search results looking for 4E width, this shoe will fall out of the results because they call it XW with (3E/4E) in parenthesis, which apparently the search engine cannot handle. I\'d have bought them 6 months earlier if it weren\'t for that!\r\n\r\n

Comfortable shoes with good style, but not great quality. The soles starting coming off after less than a year of very light use. I expected more from such pricey shoes.

The Best -
I found this shoe to be excellent for long periods of standing and walking. I especially like the inserts that came with the shoe. It allows me to custom design the inner sole for the best comfort.

Comfortable and supportive -
I have tried a lot of shoes to find one that will stand up to all day in my sculpture studio. With the Aetrex high arch insole, this is the most comfortable and supportive shoe I have ever used. It is also well made and kudos to Zappos for their extraordinary service.

I have several pairs of these boots. They are the only shoe I can comfortably walk any distance in. The basic structure seems very solid. There is definitely something right about the arch and shape of the sole, very good support (supports my full orthotic well). I walk in snow and rain and stay warm and dry. I'm not sure why because the upper materials seem strange in some way, not the same rugged feel you'd get from an Ecco boot. Although, it is holding up fine. Just seems to stretch when I pull the laces tight, but I have a wide foot and have to work with very wide shoes. All in all, I'm thankful for the Aetrex trail runner. So far, it's been very good to me.

Extremely comfortable right out of the box. No adjustment was needed. I like the style of the shoe and its' features. This shoe will last a long time. My next purchase will be their running shoes.

Wow, what a surprise -
I'm a gal with a real wide foot and men's shoes always fit better, but look like men’s shoes. I thought I would give these a try and they're great! At first I didn't like the feel of them and then I read the directions and designed the insole that felt best. I was complimented on how stylish they are. I wear them with jeans and casual dress pants and my feet feel good all day. They are a great walking shoe and I will order them again.

12 hour shoes -
I regularly work 12 hour days and these shoes get me thru. They're very cushy and still seem to have enough support. If you have foot pain, these shoes will get you better. I wouldn’t wear any other shoe for walking.

The perfect shoe... finally!
This is the most comfortable shoe I have ever worn. Fantastic support and perfect wide (9-2E) shoe for those who have a hard time finding comfortable wide shoes. Right out of the box, these fit perfectly... length and width . It is like walking on a cloud... they are the best!... as is ZAPPOS for the world's best and fastest service.
