Fantastic shoe. I own 7 pairs of Danskos, the only shoes I wear. The Rocker Bottom style is my favoite (as opposed to the clog). Very cute shoe. I get complements all the time. Very comfortable on my wide, flat feet with Plantar faciatis. I can wear them all day long.

Great shows, great service. Got my shoes the next day. Had to do an exchange and it was as easy as pie and the customer service rep. was wonderful. It was a great experience and I will definitely buy from Zappos again.\r\n\r\nMy only comment is that I wish the shoe came in half sizes. I am a true 7 1/2 so I had to make some adjustments for the 8 to fit.

I bought these for standing all day at work and they are perfect right out of the box. They don't need any breaking in period. Fantastic comfort and super cute! I've gotten compliments on them every time I wear them. My next pair of shoes will be Danskos.

These are pretty comfy as dress shoes go. I was on my feet for 12 hours with a 1 hour break, and when I came home I could tell that the shoes were helping because my feet weren't blistered and my legs weren't absolutely killing me like they usually do on my full clinic day. They are cute, and once you get used to walking in them, they are nice. However, they do have some drawbacks. The strap left an indent in the top of my foot all night, and because it is stretchy it loosens a bit as the day wears on, meaning you have to tighten it periodically. The shoes fit me well, but I found the top of the shoe causing a bit of friction with my heel as I walked, even with nylons on. I have a small piece of irritated skin on the back of my heel. I think I will just put a band aid there before another long day. Otherwise, these are nice shoes.

I bought these shoes because I am a teacher and on my feet all day, but have been very disappointed with their lack of comfort. They are very cute and I love Mary Jane\'s, but after spending this much money, I am not impressed at all. I thought they would get better with time, but tried to wear them again today with no luck, had them off on the way home my feet hurt so much.

This shoe is so cute and it helps with my many foot issues. I can even wear my orthotic with it. The only negative part is the strap! It's so thin for such a heavy shoe and it skins the top of my foot in no time. I have tried putting moleskin on the underside of the strap, but that doesn't help much either. It's a shame since the shoe is perfect in every other way.

These took me a little time to get used to, but very comfortable! Well worth the money! If you order ask an associate with Zappos to assist you with the sizing. They fit great and are very stylish! My co-workers make fun of me for the price I paid, but I only buy my work shoes once a year...they are replacing cheap shoes much, much more often.
Other brands recommended by reviewer: I also loved my Timberland Pros brand shoes. Very comfortable and withstood daily wear for 9 months straight!

I graduated from nursing school in 2006, and everyone in my class had the same shoes: black Dansko clogs. While I loved the comfort factor, they weren’t exactly the best in terms of style. When I spotted the Dansko Mae, I knew I had to give them a try! I bought a pair of brown ones and wore them to work with (of all things) white socks. I received so many compliments, from both colleagues and patients, I couldn’t believe it! What’s more, these shoes are 100 times more comfortable than my old Dansko clogs. I recently purchased a second pair - in black - and I couldn’t be happier. I wear them to work every day, and I work 12-hour shifts on an extremely busy hospital unit. I even wear them out with friends, to jazz up a pair of jeans & a tee. I highly recommend these shoes!

These shoes run small, about a full size smaller. They are good lookers and are built well for comfort and durability.

These are great shoes. True to fit, sturdy, cute & comfortable. My feet slide a little in them when I wear slippery socks & then my little toes get slightly jammed. But other than that all is well.

"Mae" was my first pair of Danskos that I purchased last fall – I’m already up to 4 pairs! I previously wore Ecco, another fine brand, but found that I needed a thicker, substantial sole to be on my feet sometimes 10-14 hours a day. This style is extremely comfortable, and cute (and a little funky) enough to wear with skirts. If you are wondering whether to go for the pomegranate color - go for it! It is fabulous.

I am an avid Dansko stapled clog fan - I live in them due to a Morton's Neuroma and an arthritic first toe joint. I have tried other Danskos for alternate styles that might provide the same support as clogs, i.e. the Sally that really didn't work for me, sandals - where my foot slipped around too much. At last - the MAE - the perfect Mary Jane - in RED no less! The minute I put them on, I was amazed. They are literally more comfortable and supportive than the clogs, at least on me. I am back for another pair in black - for more formal occasions, and just wish they were available in navy or suede.

Bummer! These shoes are so freakin' cute and super, super comfy...but not quite the right size. My toes bump up against the toe of the shoe just enough to be annoying, and my heel slides up and down out of the right shoe...certain death by blisters there. I might try a size up, but feel like they'll be too big. V. sad. Oh well.

It’s no surprise to me that these shoes have something of a cult following. I have had many different styles of Danskos over the years and these are by far my favorite. I’ve been in the hospitality industry my entire life and I must admit that without the proper shoes, I end up with a lot of pain. These shoes have saved my life!!! I find myself wearing them on my days off. Although they are a little clunky, they still look really cute with skirts and tights or jeans. My one complaint is that the elastic in the buckle seemed to wear out way before the shoe itself, but the repair was relatively simple. Overall, this is a great shoe. I’m sure there will be another pair in my future.

Love this shoe!
I have purchased this shoe in both the brown and the black and wear them just about every day. I have also received many compliments on this shoe and rate it as the "tops"! I have foot problems and had a lot of difficulty spending any time shopping due to foot pain, but NOT WITH THIS SHOE!

I love these shoes!! They are very comfortable and have saved my feet and knees. They are perfect if you are standing all day. Not really for the all day walking, but the all day standing these are perfect!! I love the look of the shoe, but the sole could look nicer. 5 stars!!

Look is better than the Feel!
I fell in love with these shoes when I first saw them just because of the "look". This color is chic, sexy and o so flavorful. I wore these to work and was not that impressed. The upper part of the shoe fit great but it hugs my heel/ankle bone too much. I will give it another try by I will stick to my Dansko (professional) style for everyday wear...

Professional, Sassy and Sweet!
The Dansko Mae shoes beat out my 4-inch stiletto pumps any day! Just as versatile -- but unquestionably more intelligent -- these shoes are kinder to my soles, ankles, knees and back. Thanks to this Zappos purchase, at the end of my work day, I have a whole new get-up-and-go.

Slightly Disappointed -
It seems as though everyone I know has at least one pair of Dansko's. Everybody swore I had to buy a pair. I am not one to wear sneakers or flats. I usually like some kind of a heel. However, I wanted a shoe that would look nice with a pair of jeans and would be comfortable if I were walking around the city all day, shopping in the mall or seeing a ball game. These seemed like the perfect shoe. The shoe itself is well made but it is bulky. It looks like a little girls shoe made for an adult. But again, with jeans it wasn't too bad. However, they are not the comfortable dream shoe you'd imagine. The strap is annoying and the heel is real stiff. I kept them, but I wished I hadn't. I should have tried a Dansko clog, mule, or slip-on. Anything but the strap. They're a hassle so think twice. They are by no means worth the price! On a positive note the sole is comfortable and I imagine had I purchased the right style (Dansko) I probably would be writing a more positive review. If you purchase these shoes do know that they do start to break in. I suggest you wear them around the house a lot before deciding whether or not to keep them.

GREAT "TEACHER" SHOE -
I would highly recommend this shoe to anyone who has to be on their reet for the greater part of the day. I teach 2nd grade in a 6 story building and put quite a bit of mileage on my shoes. The toe box is shaped to be roomy and is stylish. My toes are not red when I remove my shoes after work. The placement of the strap allows for a snug, yet not constricting, fit. I love this shoe because in addition to being a very comfortable shoe, it is not heavyweight like some shoes with similar features, and is very stylish. I have received many compliments from fellow teachers, who have asked about my shoes.

Mae I have another?
This classic Dansko is comfortable and is a great addition to a wardrobe that is professional and productive. Looks great with all trousers and transitions nicely from a casual workplace to a casual lifestyle. I like this shoe because I am a librarian and am up and down all day long. I can wear socks with these shoes or not and there is never a break-in period, my toes are not cramped, and my feet get plenty of support. Also, I think they are cool looking.

How much do I love these shoes??
So much! I bought them a little big so I could wear warm sox with them. They are so comfortable and look great with jeans or tights. The color is tomato soup red- delish!
