First of all, I love Zappos. I ordered these shoes in 8.5 wide. It was a good fit. I can go between a 9B or 8.5W. However, the shoes look cheap and the stitching was sloppy, the leather looked like plastic. It was very disappointing so I returned these shoes.

I received the item in shorter time than I thought it would take. The Bass loafers are just as comfy as the Bass I owned in college (circa late 60s early 70s). The price was great and I know I will enjoy them for a long time.

Awesome service by Zappos. The shoes are fantastic, though stiff. I don't have wide feet, but ordered the wide size and am very glad I did. These are cut narrow. I remembered it once I slid my foot in because I had a pair when I was a teenager. Buy your normal size, but definitely pick the wide width if it's available.

I am not very happy with these shoes. The finish on them looks cheap and plastic- like. The sides bow out as though someone with a really fat foot has been wearing them.

Great classic loafer. Well constructed, very comfortable fit, I ordered width of W and down 1/2 size from my usual. Having the width of W available made all the difference. Plus the added bonus of Zappos fantastic customer service, as I needed an exchange was super easy!

I normally wear a 7.5, so I was surprised when they felt a bit tight. I ordered the size 8, and they are a perfect fit. These are very nice looking shoes, and they are comfortable as well. I wound up purchasing 2 pairs, in burgundy and black.

Leather and stitching look very nice in this classic loafer, but... I normally wear a size 6.5 wide. I bought a 7.5 wide for this purchase to help with my ingrown toenail and they are still a bit too small. I am hopeful a shoe stretcher will do the trick.

I started shopping with Zappos a few months back and I have purchased several pairs of shoes and again I have made another great purchase the classic penny loafer. So sweet looking and comfortable, very classic, the fit was perfect, very true to size and the price was very affordable. I do my research for buying shoes online and Zappos is the only one I have never had to return, refund or had any kind of trouble with. They may not always have the lowest price on every pair at the time, but the customer service and fast shipping and excellent reviews keep me coming back. Thanks Zappos. Keep up the good work.

As usual, Zappos has come through with flying colors. I love ordering my shoes from them, great quality, as well as lots of shoes to choose from. This time I got a little surprise, my shipping was free, what a great way to shop, keep doing what you're doing, love to shop here.

Like the color and the fit, however, they are cheaply made and look it. I've actually seen better leather on $30.00 shoes at Walmart. I don't know why companies like Bass do this, but they do. They're okay for jeans.

These are the perfect classic loafers. They were comfortable right out of the box but I did have to put a small piece of mole skin right onto the back of each shoe until the leather softened a bit -- the top edge was a bit stiff against my heel. I\'ve worn them almost every day since and they just get more comfortable. No pinching or rubbing -- kind of like wearing my favorite slippers.

A pleasant shoe -
These are exactly what they should be. Conservative, well made loafers. Perfect for casual work or weekend, soft leather, specific construction and decent stitching. Style wise, they don't ask very much and they give what is expected. Here is a loafer. I recently switched to buying only American brand products and this is a pleasant shoe.

Great Shoes -
These shoes are very comfortable and look great with slacks and jeans. I started wearing them as soon as I got them! The reviews helped me in selecting the right size. I have a very narrow foot and sometimes have to go to a size larger depending on how the shoe is made. I stayed with a 7.5 and the fit was perfect (no need for an 8).
The company also sent my order very quickly. I only had to wait a few days! Thanks Zappos!

I looked all over for penny loafers. This was the only place they were available. I don't know why, they are a classic shoe that can be worn with almost everything.

The stitching on the top of the shoe is not as delineated as in the picture which was very disappointing. It is true to size and comfortable.

Great looking shoe!
I have always wanted a pair of loafers and finally found them at a wonderful price on Zappos. This is a great looking shoe. Delivery time is awesome. This is the second pair of shoes I have ordered from Zappos and I will be ordering my shoes from this site from now on.

True to its name -
I love Bass loafers; they have a classic look that never goes out of style and can be worn with everything from jeans to a skirt. They're great in the office and out at night. I have a hard time finding shoes that fit and are comfortable, but Bass always comes through.

Just what I was looking for -
Finally! The return of the traditional penny loafer! I love these. While I love the modern version that has been out in recent years, slightly more feminine… I needed the traditional one for winters in New England. Needed just a little bit more shoe that I could wear with socks instead of stockings and casual/business casual clothes. Penny loafers are perfect. And these are the perfect loafers! LOVE the color… not quite brown, definitely not black, but really goes with everything.
