This shoe is true to size and so comfortable for walking and running. The toe box is roomy and there is no rubbing at the heel. I highly recommend this shoe. It also looks great on!

I bought this pair of shoes a few weeks ago and have been very pleased. I cannot believe how lightweight they are! This is a great, solid running shoe. They run true to size and have a very supportive arch.

I have worn North Face Train running shoes for walking my dog (on trail and pavement) for several years. They are comfortable with good support, usually wide in the toe box, straight lasted, and often fairly water repellent. I am not sure the Betasso is going to be water repellent; it doesn't seem like it, which would be the only downer. It is much lighter than most of the other North Face shoes I have owned though. I have not worn it enough to say how it will hold up (we walk at least 3 miles a day, 5 days a week in all weather) but if it performs like other TNF trail runners it will be a great shoe!

Best sneakers I've ever owned.
I bought these before a three-week trip to China last summer, knowing that I would be doing a lot of walking, possibly on some difficult terrain (it was hard to tell). Well, sure enough, we usually walked about 6-10 miles every day, and these things were FANTASTIC. Right out of the box, they were wonderfully comfortable, no break-in time required. They grip unlike any shoe I've ever owned, and hug my feet like they were custom made just for me. I will never buy another brand of shoe again. Can't wait to wear these on the trails, as well! Only drawback was that, at times, my feet overheated (but what do you expect when you're walking 10 miles in 95-degree heat?). Overall, a phenomenal shoe. I plan to buy a few more pairs in different colors.
And of course, Zappos is second to none!

Wow!
I just received these shoes so I haven't walked extensively yet, but the fit feels great. Usually I have issues where the arch hits my foot awkwardly, but these fit perfect. They are very light. They seem narrow which works well for my foot. They are true to size. Great looking shoe, too.

The shoe is stiff and definitely has grap to keep you on slick trails. For hard down hill pounding, it may not have enough cushion.

Solid, narrow -
This is a good, stable shoe that really looks nice. I'm used to Salomons and these are narrower in the toe and wider in the heel, but much more stable. I wear them for tennis and other sports requiring lateral stability, but I still wear Salomons for everyday.

Best Athletic Shoes I've Received -
A bit pricey, but well worth the money. These shoes allow my feet to breathe and provide excellent comfort in motion or during long periods of standing. Very stylish look that goes with my many looks. Love these shoes!

Walking shoe - I really like this shoe, but my only issue is that when I walk for more than 3 miles my toes become numb. The shoe is the perfect fit and very comfy, but not for longer than a couple miles.

Great shoe!
Love this shoe! This is my first pair of The North Face, and I am impressed. Great for walking/jogging, and have held up incredibly well through mud and puddles. Very comfortable, the insole took me a day or two to get used to-but they are wonderful.

Comfy Trail Shoe -
I'm a flat-footed over-pronator so I tend to buy shoes at a running store so I can try them on. But I researched this North Face pair and it sounded promising so I took a shot. Very pleased! Good stability and cushioning and the lace configuration gives you a lot of control in getting the lateral fit just right. Great price too!

I just wanted to send a quick thank you to all of you for being such a wonderful company. I have ordered from you several times in the past and have always enjoyed your wide selection, fast shipping, and easy return policy. However, while these are great attributes of a company, they don't usually inspire me to write feedback emails raving about the company. About a week ago, I wanted to order a pair of shoes I'd had my eye on for quite some time. I shopped around but, as usual, Zappos.com had the best price (and free shipping!). However, when I tried to order, neither you nor any other website I visited had the shoes in my size. I called your customer service number to find out if they had been discontinued. In my experience, these sort of help lines rarely produce any sort of useful information, so I don't usually expect a whole lot from them. I called at around 5:30am Eastern Time, and was thrilled someone actually answered the phone that early in the morning! That would have been enough to make me a happy customer, however in true Zappos.com form, my experience exceeded expectations. Not only was the representative friendly and helpful, he took time to check your inventory and find out if the shoes had been discontinued. Then, he checked out other websites to find out if they had the shoes in my size! After several minutes of searching, he was able to find one website with one remaining pair in my size. However, at that point I was so impressed with Zappos.com that there was no chance of me ordering those shoes from any other website! So thank you to Zappos.com and that customer service representative, whoever he is, for such stellar customer service! Keep up the great work!
