Better than Chucks!
These shoes are of similar vintage as Chuck Taylors and have much the same appearance. However, they are well-padded in the sole and upper which makes them much more comfortable to wear than your average Chucks. Highly recommended as they look good with just about everything.

The shoe is comfortable. Much comfortable than the Chuck Taylors. I was skeptical at first to purchase through the Internet since I can't try it on, but the sizes are true as marked. Compared to the Chuck Taylors anyway. And the color selection is good.

Great shoes!
I usually wear a 7.5 in women's and I ordered a size 5 in the green. It fits perfectly! It's a good looking shoe and fun to wear.

I usually wear an 11 1/2 or 12, but heeded the advice of other reviewers and got a half size smaller. I'm glad I did - the 11s fit perfectly. These are great shoes. I'm kind of tall and lanky and since they are narrow, I don't think they flatter me, but for the price and the look, they are great.

Terrific everyday summer sneaker -
Converse has a Chuck Taylor in a very bright yellow for less money, but the Jack Purcell sun-washed yellow is a better value...a washed out yellow that goes with everything, everyday, all summer long. Plus, the Jack Purcell's have better arch support than the Chuck Taylor's.

LOVE this shoe -
I am a big fan of Jack Purcells, and I love the take on this classic. I will buy it in every color (if only there was a washed red!!). The only thing to note - the makers also made scratches on the toe, to make it look distressed and worn. It is hard to see in the photos and is not mentioned in the description.

Coolest Shoes Ever!
These are a more 'designer' version of the Chuck Taylor's All-Star. But unlike the Chuck's, the Jack Purcell's are true to size and actually offer a bit of arch support. Easily the most fun shoes I own. You just feel cool wearing these things.

I listened to Zappos and got the shoes a half size smaller, the smaller size fit perfectly. I love the look, the color, the comfort, I just love the shoes. You can't go wrong with Converse and they really pair up with jeans nicely.

The Retro look is alive & well.
Very comfortable, well made sneaker. I ordered my normal shoe size (men's) & it was right on the mark. I had a pair of these way back in the 60's & these are just as good if not better.

Can’t lose with a classic!
Knowing that style & fashion is subjective, the Jack Purcell is the alter ego to the All Star. Sun washed navy is a great 'go with jeans' in an understated sort of way. The fit and feel is very comfortable although comfort after an all day walk through NYC may diminish by the end of the day - as with most true sneakers. IMO, the Jack Purcell gets 5 stars for cool vibe - kind of like playing an old fender Stratocaster or driving a '57 Chevy.

These are cute and way comfy! I'm a size 8, and these fit... but have just a little extra room, not enough to really care, but if I were sometimes a 7.5 and sometimes an 8, then I recommend to go with the 7.5.

These are so comfortable and I love the color (yellow). I'm not crazy about how they look sort of "used" with the fake holes and whatnot, but it's not that bad. I am considering getting them in another color also. I normally wear at 7.5/8.0 and got these in a women's 7.0 and they fit perfectly. I have a hard time finding shoes that do not give me blisters and so far I have none with these and had no "breaking in" period.

Really Cute -
People notice these shoes because the colors are so great! I get a favorable comment nearly every time I wear them. I bought the green version and the wash and slightly distressed details make them look fashionably lived in (I hate the look of really brand-new tennis shoes). I only put "4" for comfort because, let's face it, your podiatrist probably isn't crazy about the arch support on any Converse shoe, but on the other hand, they are still lots and lots better than spike heels. They did feel almost a half size bigger to me but they are more comfortable with thick socks so it balanced out for me in the end.

The distressed yellow is great. Very comfortable way more than regular Converse. I am a 10 in ladies but got the men’s 8 and it fits perfectly.
