VERY NICE Retro Sneaker -
These shoes are great! A nice alternative to the Converse I always wear. They are very "neutral" looking and go with a lot of different looks. They fit exactly to my size (11 D) and are comfortable right out of the box. By the way...I ordered these around noon PST and they arrived by 11 am the next day! For free. Unbelievable. Zappos is a great company to do business with. THANKS!

I've been wanting these shoes for at least a year -
I'm a vegetarian, so was looking for some non-leather shoes for old feet. Mine are green. Was surprised at delivery within just two or three days! Had to wear a bandage on my right heel for a couple of days until broken in. Have had several positive comments from friends, coworkers and students (I'm a school teacher).

Felt great after about 2 weeks -
Loving these shoes. Work well with khakis, jeans or shorts. I used to wear simple shoes - and these that that old school look I was after with a bit of modern look thrown in.

I have worn Keen before and always found them extremely comfortable. This shoe is not in the mold of the Keen shoe. I wore it on a long walk in a city and it was very uncomfortable. There is no arch support as with their other shoes and in the small toe area I experienced rubbing. The shoe is also very hot. The look is fabulous but the shoe needs a lot of improvement. I am very dissatisfied.

I love these shoes. I was looking for a classic look, but I was having a hard time finding the right shoe. The Keen Ventura Canvas is exactly what I was looking to buy. It is pretty comfortable and good for my normal foot. I get a lot of comments on the looks; everyone seems to really like the look.

Comfy canvas contender -
Comfy out of the box w/ good room for wider feet D+. Not much arch support compared w/ the more orthopedic sneakers by new balance, etc. but probably was never the intent. Holding up well but soles are feeling a bit thin after 6 months of couple times a week wear.

Great shoes -
These shoes look great and are extremely comfortable. We just went to the beach and I was walking on the beach, in town and climbing around on some hills. Looked good in restaurants as well as just casual wear.
Great purchase.

Keen Canvas Shoe -
This shoe is a good cross between a sneaker and a shoe. I'm Size 12 and have a wide foot and I find they are a good fit. Moderate arch support which is typical in canvas shoes. As someone who is always looking for a canvas shoe for casual warm weather wear, these are winners, but too pricey. I wish Bass would bring back their canvas line which had great colors, fit and were half the price of the Keens.

Retro reimagining of a low-top All-Star -
A nice, casual, and comfortable shoe reminiscent of a classic Converse All-Star, except MUCH wider in the toe box and a bit cushier in the midsole. The sole is the best feature: Very sticky natural rubber. In my view, it runs true-to-size but where the toe bumper wraps around the front there may be a little less clearance than Keen wearers are used to. (The toe box is wide, but not particularly high for a Keen.) Bottom line: A nice shoe if you like the looks (I do).

Took a couple of days to break in...
Those days were not very comfortable. I am glad I waited, though. The have broken in and feel very good. They are incredibly fashionable. I get comments on them wherever I go. I'll definitely buy another pair.

A very cool little shoe. The shoe fits as was it intended. Looks cool, but is a little rough on the bare foot right out of the box. Hey, it's canvas; what do you expect? I expected it to soften up with wear time and it has. Great pair of "tennis shoes." !!

Decent look - too narrow and short :(
I am a Keen lover. The styling of these is very retro and pretty cool, unfortunately like others have said - the shoe is not 'Keen' sized. I am a wide 9 - Keen Newports - 9 is perfect.
1. It is 1/2 size too small - my toe hits the rubber inside.
2. It is also about a c/d width - not wide like keens normally are.
Great idea - poor execution - also where is the cushy bottom Keen? New products are great (e.g. the Bronx shoes rocked) however this isn't it.

Almost perfect ...
I'm a big fan of Keen footwear (I've owned 2 other pair.) Generally speaking, Keen does it right.
However, the 'Ventura' model lacks the supportive sole found on most Keen footwear, and you definitely notice it after extended wearing. Worth noting: it is somewhat correctable with inserts. Aesthetically, the Keens still absolutely rock!

Like the semi-retro look -
I am a big fan of Keen shoes because I have a wide foot. These were a slight disappointment in the comfort. There is a seam on the inside of the shoe right near the little toe that rubs and chaffs when the shoes are not tied tightly.
I am keeping them though as a summer shoe. Need to wear thin socks with this one. They tend to run smaller than what I am use to with other Keen models.

Miss the wide toe area and arch support -
I like the look of these shoes, and although it's too early to tell (I've only had them several weeks), they seem to be durable. I do miss both Keen's normally great arch support and wide toe area (these are a tad narrow and feel more like boat shoes), but all in all I'm pleased again with Keen (7th pair of Keens for me).

Good kick around shoes -
I bought the Ventura and have been wearing them exclusively in a 9 week program in London and Europe. They held up very well, so far, to the abuse of walking 10+ miles a day everyday. I think that for the amount of walking I would have preferred the Briggs for more support. But, they look great and on days that I don't walk a lot they are perfect.

Close, but no cigar.
I bought this as a water shoe, wanting more protection than the open-uppers type provide. It serves adequately. Complaints? The heel abrades a bit. It I'd had to wear it longer the first few times, I might have gotten a blister at the top of the back. It's OK now. The laces take twice as long to dry after use as the canvas uppers! Finally, I don't really need the big, boxy toe compartment, and I don't especially like the look.

They feel great, and look cool. Mine came with both a set of green and tan (natural) shoelaces. These shoes feel light and substantial, comfortable and well ventilated. Highly recommended. They look kind of unusual in a modern kind of way which is not a problem for me. They're reinforced in all the spots that all other canvas shoes have failed me. I wear size 9, ordered size 9.5 & they fit just fine.

Good shoe for the $$$
I have a pair of Keen "sandals" and was interested in the style and comfort of their casual shoes. These fit the bill perfectly. They aren't big and clunky like most "skate shoes" are. The only downside I see is that the heel cup is a bit weak and seems to get crushed if I just try and slide the shoes on. It’s not a big deal; I just have to think a little more when putting them on.
