Great Shoe -
The Mclane is a stunning sandal. I'm so happy patent leather is back because its touches have a certain something that can spice up any outfit. The heel is solid and makes these shoes very comfortable to walk in. As other reviewers have said, the strap across the top of my foot does rub some but I imagine this will go away as I wear them in.

This shoe runs a little small, so consider when buying. It isn't the most comfortable, but the shoe looks too good for me to really care.

Sophisticated and sexy with a few minor issues -
I loved the way these shoes looked straight out of the box. The black patent is super shiny and the gold heel & sole is a pretty light gold color, not too yellow or flashy. Fit is true to size and width. I could tell as soon as I tried them on that the strap that crosses over the top of your foot rubbed the inside of my arch in a bad way. I stuck on one of those Foot Petals Strappy Strips foam cushions to the underside of the strap and it fixed it immediately - no blisters or irritation after a night on the dance floor! These shoes feel sturdy on, like the shoe is strapped to your foot which makes for easy walking. However after one night out I'd scuffed up the back of the heels pretty bad. The gold heel covering is very thin and apparently easy to nick and damage, so be forewarned.

Whenever I need to tell an etailer how I compare their web site, I always use Zappos as my reference web site as The Standard. And, I use Zappos as the standard that all etailers should strive to be at the same level. None are even close, and I sincerely mean that. I haven't purchased a pair of shoes from anyplace other than Zappos.
